@buzzofthebumblebee hope you have a great holiday!
@swampytiggaa hope the cold will soon go!
@fallfallfall glad you've had a good time visiting over here
@SunshineCake1 you're really having a rough time! Kindly meant but honestly your mh has been bad for some time now and worsening, gf really doesn't help in that respect ime I really think you need to speak to gp about this and give serious consideration to medication at least for a while. You sound so low you need something and while exercise can and does help it only does so a little, this is not something you can take lightly. If your current gp is not v approachable on this speak to another in the practice or even change gp, I think you could do with some therapy too but not sure if you're up to that at the moment I think you may need to be doing a little better first.
@Yetanothernamechange123 if chocolate is your thing either ban it altogether or if you know you won't manage that low cal choc choices - muller light chocolate layers puds are only 69 cals each, options hot choc sachets 40 cals, tunnocks products if you can get them where you are tend to be low cal teacakes are 106 cals, of the regular bars things like Milky Way, curly wurly, Cadbury fudge, 2 finger Kit Kat, bueno if you can have one bar at a time isn't too bad
An old ww trick is curly wurlys in the fridge - makes em harder to chew so you take longer to eat them
8 cups of tea with skimmed milk IF you're only having 60mls of milk per cuppa (which I have now but ime most people have more and usually don't know how much they have - have you ever measured it?) is around 20 cals as you say that's still an extra 140 cals a day you're drinking. In all likelihood and if you have a higher cal milk than me it's prob more like 200-250 cals I reckon
I still can't get my head around meal planning. Plus I'm a "bloody minded cuss" so I'd be like arguing with myself essentially "but I don't want pasta tonight!" It's mainly the food waste aspect that bugs me! Especially as so many items come in packaging for at least 2 people it's basically impossible to shop for one and that often dictates what I'm having anyway! Cos a lot of it once opened has to be used within 1-3 days for food safety which means a lot of meals are repeated
Given your current weight 1200 cals seems very low!
I'm 5'2" and currently 12 stone 10.5lbs and the nhs calculator says 1408 as a MINIMUM for body to function well.
I'm going to try 1500 as on 1550 I'm starting to gain again, though admittedly went over a little on a couple of days.
But 1200 seems...punitive! If you're coping on that all power to you I couldn't!
Better to accept that it’s better to be a 🐢 than a 🐇 when it comes to losing and keeping off weight
Absolutely and I'm guessing from deletions was a spammer anyway?
@Yetanothernamechange123 hmm I looked at my fitness pal and wasn't impressed when I saw different results for the same food same amount were vastly different, upon further investigation it turns out any "member" of mfp can update their database and the info isn't checked. When I checked their results against verified information it was often way out.
@swampytiggaa have you soup in/Husband can make? Far more nutritious and lower cal and soothing than malt loaf (much as I like malt loaf myself) when I was ill I bought in fresh soups and they were just what I needed. I wasn't up to making soup and had no home made in freezer
Re tissues - Vaseline on the nose regularly! Or it gets sore!
@TheRealHousewife not got the new meds as yet only discussed last week. Psych has to write to gp, gp reviews and prescribes, prescription sent to pharmacy, filled and they text me it's ready, delivery arranged and delivered so it'll take a few weeks yet.
@Elle200 our illness stuff is nothing compared to yours! Binging - could you get in something relatively low cal you can eat in bulk?
