@SunshineCake1
I get what you mean about ads might help you cope with whatever the issue is, I had a similar long term discussion with someone else who resisted for a long time and then when they did finally agree to try them they were so glad they did. Took a bit of trial and error to get the right prescription/dose but they're doi much better now.
Glad you got out for a bit I think it has helped but I also appreciate it can knacker you next few days. Can you do short trips out?
Wow - 12 stone 8 lbs that's a loss of 1.75 lbs very happy with that, takes me to under 80kg for those that measure that way (I've started recording in st and lbs and lbs and kg just out of curiosity/for comparison to others who post different ways, not just on this thread)
That's in a week where I had:
Cake x 2
Hot choc
Pizza
Fried egg butties...
Which just goes to show it doesn't have to be a case of eating "rabbit food" to lose weight!
I've gone over my own cal limit at times but been under other days I think it does average out over the week.
@Youdoyoutoday I think missing getting a drenching is fine
Well done to all who lost, maintained or had nsv this week
To those who gained or are otherwise struggling - it's not the end of the world. You're doing great generally I honestly don't think anyone on here isn't overall losing and getting healthier (barring crappy things we can't do anything about like COVID and glandular fever and snotty colds!)
@Elle200 it's probably better to look at those around the same weight as you for tips/inspiration that's what I tend to do.
I'm afraid I'm rather sceptical of advice from people on losing a lot of weight who haven't lost a lot of weight themselves! I have a friend in real life who is in other respects perfectly lovely but she's never been overweight in her life and yet still tries to "advise" those of us who are/have been. She means kindly but she's clueless.
but I'm not sure it is a case of everyone with the same height should weigh the same
This is true different genetics and body types etc affect it too, that's why sensible weight loss companies (I know that's something of an oxymoron) and the nhs have a RANGE of healthy weights for the same height.
2.5 stone difference for my height according to nhs
7 stone 3lbs to 9 stone 10lbs
I've been a much lower weight at times in my life too, on occasion underweight - not due to Ed or anything just being very busy and no time to eat (when nursing) or due to a period of illness etc.
But even still when I did my first time losing weight I got down to 8 stone I did it sensibly not a crash diet or anything but when I hit around 8.5 stone I did have people - inc a dr - saying I looked too slim and a bit gaunt, it genuinely didn't look right on me so I went up to around 9 stone and that was about right for me.
Yet others may look still "chubby" at that point of the same height
I'm also very aware I'm an Apple shape and carry my weight around my belly, very slim legs and arms even now! This is known to have health implications I'm v conscious of that.
