Mrs hope you dodged the migraine

Gensola · 13/11/2021 06:55

unescorted is her term over or has she come home because she’s so unwell? Poor girl, sounds like she needs some TLC!

We have just had a big round of Christmas exams so I have 60ish papers to mark this weekend, joy!
Work being mad does definitely make time fly though which is good. DH and I are going to a play tonight, it’s a student thing but looks cool, and a very early dinner beforehand in a tapas place. I can’t drink but I can definitely still eat Grin
Planning to get my steps in early with a nice walk to river and park and a coffee in town, may bring some exams to mark in coffee shop.
Hope everyone has a lovely Saturday!

Unescorted · 13/11/2021 07:20

She is really unwell and just needs some love & rest.

Marking would be my idea of hell.... Good luck.

I need to start exercising again. The knee seems to have recovered. I might just do something gentle non load bearing.

Happierwithouthim · 13/11/2021 08:23

My boyfriend was buried yesterday unfortunately my daughter tested positive on thurs lunchtime so I couldn't attend the wake, well hse rules dictate that I could, but his mothers elderly I couldn't have that on my conscience. The funeral home allowed me in to say my goodbyes. I attended mass yesterday but went late and sat well away from the family to outsiders it probably looked like we'd fallen out especially because my name wasn't mentioned by priest or in the thanks afterwards. Like he'd had said F*ck what anyone thinks!

Happierwithouthim · 13/11/2021 08:25

The M&S ivy skinnies that hadn't fitted 3 weeks ago fitted yesterday. I'd sized up in them & was disappointed that they didn't fit!

Not2bObvious · 13/11/2021 08:31

Ah happier, sorry to hear about your daughter, I hope she's ok. That's upsetting about the service - you know what you meant to each other and that's what matters 💕

Yay to a no scales victory Happier, I'm so sorry you couldn't go to the wake x

Unescorted glad you have ds home for cuddles and tlc. Cake, nursery puddings and comforting stodge/a metric tonne of pizza

Wolfcub · 13/11/2021 08:33

Dd not ds obviously, bloody autocorrect

Unescorted · 13/11/2021 09:17

happier if people have nowt better to do than speculate about your seating position then they need to get a hobby. I hope your DD has only the mildest version of COVID.

Wolf I know you know. She is sleeping loudly. For such a slight thing she snores with gusto.

Not2bObvious · 13/11/2021 09:26

Got 164.6 this morning and I was delighted, the 163.6 last Saturday was an outlier - I feel I've proper earned my way into the 164's. Slowly getting there. C25K planned for after I dropped dds off at activities - going to a beautiful park to do it so I'm bigging it up in my head that it's not a chore but a privilege.
Hope your dd is ok too unescorted, she sounds proper run down. Both mine are very slight & if exhausted seem to feel it more. I guess my chubbiness helps me fight that😂

Been ok today , worked like a dawg at MumBobs. 3 loads of Washing hung out , windy & sunny here today! Just as well!! DH bathed Bob bless him , well he got him in and out of the bath, 🤗

Not2bObvious · 13/11/2021 18:03

That is a busy day mrs, 2 loads done here but indoor drying unfortunately. Grand day but damp. Got my final run done, I'm so slow I only do 2.7 miles in the 30 mins but it's not nothing. Wasn't too tough after the first 15 mins, loads of deer in the park, wonderful to be out & about.
Nice afternoon, bit of baking (buns, nothing too fancy!) watched a move, now enjoying a decent glass of red after my dinner. Having family over for lunch tomorrow (takeaway so v easy, just throwing money at it) so won't go mad tonight.
Nice to relax and feel calm though.

Thank you Not your day sounds absolutely wonderful ❤️

Not2bObvious · 13/11/2021 18:30

It has been really nice thanks mrs, as we all know that can change in a sixpence but so far so good.
Sadly himself is stuck working so I'm enjoying my vino on my own but that's what Insta & TikTok are for😉

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 13/11/2021 18:32

I should say looking at both, not posting on either in case y'all think I'm doing instagram stories & TikTok whilst boozing😂 My elder teen would shoot me😂

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 14/11/2021 07:23

2.7 miles in 30 minutes is none too shabby not.
Bad food day yesterday as didn’t eat well
And the wobbles make me need an instant fix, read chocolate

Gensola · 14/11/2021 07:39

life we had pizza before the theatre, then proceeded to sit still for 3 hours then come home and go straight to bed Grin play was really hard going - far too long (2 hours 50!) and some of the acting was dodgy. I was ready to leave at the interval but decided to brave it out.
Plan today is haircut (first in 1.5 years, I’m starting to look Amish!), giant mushroom and goat cheese “burgers” for lunch then walk in park at Blenheim. Later today will be teaching prep and marking for this week. I’m trying hardest to get steps in, last week did 5/7 days of closing my Apple Watch rings (that’s standing for a few mins every hour, 30 mins of walking briskly or another workout and 15,000 steps), but two days were terrible.
Not sure how this week will go with embryo transfer on Tues (if they survive the thaw!) but going to try and eat as healthy as possible.
I have the 50% off Gousto trial this week, went for a lamb and aubergine tagine, Lebanese rice with fish, Spanish chicken with peppers and patata brava and king prawn Korma with green bean rice.
That arrives on Wednesday, so just need to fish some food out of the freezer for Monday and Tuesday!

Not2bObvious · 14/11/2021 10:41

I wouldn't have had the patience to sit through that play gen, what a pain in the arse, free time is too precious. You're doing great with your exercise considering your workload. Everything crossed for the defrost🤞
I don't know if I have a mild hangover, feel tentatively ok. Had no snack last night with my wine, unreal. Scales up .2 on yesterday so still just in the 164's - happy with that. Have to get my body pump done before 12, that'll show me if I have a hangover or not. Bit of cleaning to do before company arrives, and then a nice afternoon with yummy takeaway

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 14/11/2021 18:13

God I would not sit through that kudos to you gen
Still haven’t found batteries but travelling tomorrow so will start Tuesday
