Whoever said being busy is great for weight loss is right but jeez I’m shattered.
Need to unpack my scales and new batteries then I’m off again.
Back to work today

Mrsmadevans · 01/11/2021 09:07

Morning everyone 😀
After a really bad night weather wise, this morning is absolutely gorgeous ❤️
That would be me re the being busy helps to lose weight life l will claim that 🤣
Am ok this morning Monday dieting mode has dawned and l am feeling positive for once!
Good luck with our day everyone 😊

Mrsmadevans · 01/11/2021 09:09

@Not2bObvious

Glad the cat is back, poor animals have a hard time around now. I bloody hate the bangers that will go on for weeks now, I'm always jumping out of my skin
I've told MumBob to keep them both in at night for the next week. Thank you so much for your advice an encouragement 😊
Not2bObvious · 01/11/2021 16:10

Got my weigh done eventually and I'm 1.6 up on Friday which is quite acceptable. Very busy day & despite feeling drained I've been sticking to my planned food. My dinner has a mountain of veg in so hopefully that'll keep me fuller over the course of the evening.

Happierwithouthim · 01/11/2021 21:16

I don't know. It pinged right back up to Saturdays weight again this morning.

I gave exercise class a wide berth tonight but did walk the dog instead, more therapeutic than exercise. It's gotten cold out in last couple of days.

Not2bObvious · 02/11/2021 08:17

Scrapping back into the 165's, I'd bloody love a whoosh. Now you've seen the low weight, you'll get it back again happier. It's like a glimpse into the future. Got my c25k done, up to 25 mins "running" - it was not that bad. Cold out though, I'm struggling to get the heat into my bones even after a nice hot shower. Might need some more tea to help the process before I start work. It's days like these I like wfh.

Morning!

Happy news I am in the 86's now..... 86.8Kg. That is a whole 8 kg I have lost. Thanks you for your help in keeping focused. The Jeans will be mine.... The challenge is can I do it before Christmas so I can get them in the sales?

Gen I am getting the not so hungry in the afternoon when I don't have breakfast too. Yesterday it was a sandwich at lunch and kedgeree for tea and that was it.

I have also realised I like water, with nothing in it. It helps that we have nice tap water - you guys buy it in bottles.

I have come across this lovely You Tube channel - full of stretches www.youtube.com/c/TaroIwamoto/featured I have been doing the neck and shoulder ones and they have been making an amazing difference to my mobility and reducing stiffness.

Gensola · 02/11/2021 16:37

unescorted that’s amazing! Isn’t that well over a stone?
I like sparkling water, just regular and unflavoured but sparkling. I also do drink flat water but I struggle if it’s cold so turn to green tea or herbal tea.
I’ve been having black coffee and green tea in the mornings and water until 1245 and it’s been ok so far. I am looking forward to weighing to see if I’ve lost anything!

not that’s great, 25 mins - more than I could do now, I’m so unfit! I’m trying to get steps in as my concession to exercise while on this last cycle of IVF. Two weeks til embryo transfer, then two week wait to find out if it worked so by end of Nov I’ll be cleared to exercise again if it fails again.

Not2bObvious · 02/11/2021 16:59

That's great to drop into another kg bracket unescorted, very well done.

Mrsmadevans · 02/11/2021 17:19

Unescorted that is excellent work well done 👍✅😃
Not how brilliant you are running! That is a fantastic achievement 👏😁
Gen you are bound to have a weight loss you are doing so well!! 😃👏
Happier that will soon go you
are doing so well! 😃👍✅
Was looking at tips to fill me up last night and they were recommending roasting Brussel sprouts .l am so tempted!
I roast cauli and absolutely love it so here goes 😃

Unescorted · 02/11/2021 19:18

Gen anyone who can drink green tea deserves to lose weight.
Mrs roasted sprouts are so good.

It is over a stone I think - I am going to struggle with any changes from the metric system. The biggest changes are drastically reducing my alcohol, packing up the left overs instead of picking at the left overs and not eating breakfast. I have never really been a fan of deserts since I had to make them & I don't like the greasy feel of shop bought ones. I have banned crisps from the house ....

Now just to get the Not running bug..... I contemplated it this morning and figured it was far too wet and blerrggggh.

Not2bObvious · 02/11/2021 21:35

A stone is around 6 kilo's, a kilo is around 2.2lb, so 8 is well over the stone - amazing work!
I cannot make sense of metric, kilos & kilometres mean nothing to me. Even using pounds threw me for a bit but it's easier saying 165'ish rather than 11stone 11'ish
There's no running bug here, more a stubborn idiot that can't get it through her skull a decent runner she will never be but sure it's a bit of a challenge. So far it hasn't kicked off any back ache so on I slog😉

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 03/11/2021 06:40

Ah but you get out and do it not that’s the thing.
Back to work and back to eating. Time for a new role
Scales need a new battery which are stilll boxed somewhere so zero weight clue

Not2bObvious · 03/11/2021 08:49

So it's now 7 weeks to the Wednesday before Christmas, following from last week:
SW - 166.2 week 1
CW - 165.8 week 2
I'm abandoning the goal weight idea, my goal is to be on plan as much as possible and then I'll see progress no matter how slow.
Body pump done, 40 min walk done. I did actually jog for 20 minutes of it but probably shouldn't have after weights. I had planned a protein shake for breakfast but I was cold & tired so avocado egg & toast followed by a banana was inhaled.

OP posts:
Mrsmadevans · 03/11/2021 09:30

Oh l must try the sprouts Unescorted thank you 🤗
You are doing so well if l remember rightly , if you put a weight into Google it will change it to the weighing system you want to use ☺️
Not that sounds like a brilliant plan great idea , it doesn't put too much pressure on you then 😊👍
Life SOD not on the top of the list after moving so don't worry about it ☺️
Am currently in bed , taking 5 mins before going to MumBobs.
Have been ok so far but it's still early have a lovely day everyone 😊

Mrsmadevans · 03/11/2021 09:31

Unescorted, this is magnificent well done you ! 👍🤗👏✅❤️

Mrsmadevans · 03/11/2021 09:32

This is the result 👏🤗👍

Morning all. Bloody freezing here, no early morning jog for me today! Think I'll go out around lunchtime. EP over for B&B later so I'll have to work on my willpower to avoid wine. We'll see. Third day of 165.8 - maybe it's a good sign, if I don't drink/eat excessively tonight I might get a wee whoosh?
I wouldn't be rushing to find the scales life - go by your clothes for a bit maybe? Hope you're doing ok

OP posts:
Unescorted · 04/11/2021 08:20

life the scales can wait.
Not if I don't exercise first thing I find so many excuses not to. I admire your willpower.

I am back to 87 flat. But in good news I can do a proper press up. For the first time since I was a teen. I cannot explain how pleased I am.

Gensola · 04/11/2021 20:05

unescorted I’m impressed - I can’t do a push-up, I have to have my knees down. Even then I can only do about 4 😂
Fireworks going off like crazy here. I hate them so much, I think they should be illegal. They’re horrible and scare so many animals and injure people. Rant over Grin
I feel good this week on the 16:8, looking forward to weighing on Saturday. I had to have photos taken at work and could see I looked slimmer in the body but my face is still very puffy, but maybe that’s the IVF drugs talking.
not there is no way I could run in the morning. It’s all I can do to get myself up and out to work!

Not2bObvious · 04/11/2021 21:09

I dragged myself out around 11, and it was tough. It's definitely better for me to get it done earlier but it wasn't happening at 7am today. Although it's doable since the clocks went back. I had a stressy day so used it as an excuse for wine but haven't gone mad and I'm done now. Closing the kitchen at 1800 once I have my final snack (greedy guts!)
That's great that you're managing well on the 16:8 gen, I don't think I've ever heard any of us look forward to weighing 😂

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/11/2021 06:56

Press-ups are hard . Well Done you

Went to Zumba last night oof I’ve lots my fitness

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/11/2021 06:56

Lost

Unescorted · 05/11/2021 07:09

Gen about 3 months ago I had not managed a push up in 40 years - I stopped doing them when I broke my arm as a kid. For some reason it started bothering me so I found a You Tube video of how to do them for beginners. I started against the wall, then gradually moved my feet away from the wall / bench/ then on knees - the biggest change was keeping my form right. As a laugh yesterday I went to show my DS how rubbish I am at them......and did one.

I like the 16:8 - I find is easier to have the binary choice of eat or not eat rather than having to eat the "right" food or tiny portions spread across the day. I have started a cheap Aldi embroidery kit to combat boredom eating.

I went to the pub last night.... 2 pints later has undone the good of the rest of yesterday.... 87.2 this morning. Although not brilliant - it is still less than this time last week which when I was celebrating 87.6 on the Wednesday. I think Fridays are going to be my heaviest each week because I go out to see friends every Thursday.

Not2bObvious · 05/11/2021 07:26

That's just a bit of beer bloat unescorted, be gone tomorrow. Main thing is to enjoy your night out.
Dead on 165 this morning, lowest weight since I started dieting post holiday. So back to where I was around the start of summer. Don't you know it'll be 166-168 over the weekend but now it's been seen it'll be back 😉
I was going to go out for dinner tomorrow but can't get a booking when I wanted so I might just make something nice at home. Anyone else doing anything nice?
