Hi.

After lockdown and a mental period at work I've let a good 3/4 of a stone creep on.

I feel fat, clothes are starting to feel tight and I'm 1lb off being in the overweight BMI. Worst of all though I feel so lethargic and tired. Wine and Dominos last night have not helped!

So, the kids go back to school in 3 weeks. My really long hours are over at work and the next 3 weeks should be on a bit more of an even keel. I'm aiming to lose 7lbs to start with. I'll do this my mfp and exercise.

Anyone want to join me?

Today's plan:

5k run
B: All bran, Greek yoghurt and berries
L: Lamb kebabs and roasted veg cous cous
T: salad

Morning everyone. Well done on the good days and weigh ins!

@totallyyesno dominos makes me feel terrible too after I’ve eaten it at night. Although I’m a fan of all food - whether good quality or absolute rubbish so will happily eat it!

@flowerycurtain it’s just so boring making food for a family isn’t it? If I never comes again it’d be too soon. I’m the only cook in our family (no one else enjoys doing it so they do other things instead and tbf I’d rather cook than clean a bathroom!)

I’ve put weight on! Only 1lb and my period is due so I’m hoping it’s that because I’ve been so on track.

Today will be
B - bran/skimmed milk (I hate fatty milk)
L - cottage cheese, tomatoes, basil
D - chilli with courgette ribbons and coleslaw
Snacks - cheese slice, peanut butter

@Qwenzo I'm feeding the harvest staff too at the moment so regularly making 7 packed lunches and dinners when it's normally my little family of 4.

I'm basically Greencore in my kitchen right now Grinthe kids get hot dinners when they go back to school - I'm so excited for that!!! Less for me!!!!!

Good day here and ok evening. Have stuck within mfp but only just after a big row with dh and a raid on the chocolate rice cakes! Need to try and fit in a run tomorrow.

Can I join please? I've lost 11lbs since end June but really slowing down now people are starting to meet up again and I'm ending up having binge weekends 🙈 got another stone to go to get to target and really need some motivation to keep going!!
Struggling a lot with wfh and finding time in the day to exercise - I used to be really good at exercising in my lunch hour at work pre-covid, now I barely do anything at all....argh!! Have put blocks in my calendar for tomorrow & Friday now to do it...I will yes I will

I had to have a day off yesterday, family visit. Good for the taste buds but not good for the figure!

Avocado and eggs is all I can think of, with chilli flakes for a kick. Or smoked salmon, avocado and eggs?

Hi @Cavagirl well done on your loss so far - 11lbs is fantastic. I struggle with weekends too. Hoping having here to come to will help a bit.

Thanks for the avocado and eggs suggestion. I did that this morning and it's delicious. Wish I'd discovered it before - we have lots of hens on the farm so never a shortage of eggs!

Morning all. @LoveB I could eat smoked salmon every day but it's so expensive! How are you getting on?

Yesterday went ok. Had a v stressful day so didn't manage my run but did make myself do a yoga video before bed. I also didn't have a mahoosive blow out before bed so quite pleased with myself.

Today should be
B avocado & eggs
L salad with leftover fajita bean mix
T - omelette and salad.

Hopefully going for a 5k run now.

On the other hand I've also just seen the biggest spider known to man so may not be able to go in the kitchen at all today as it's sitting in the sink and I'm terrified of them!

Had 2 not great days of eating. I'm stressed and depressed at the moment and had a major couple of down days. Didn't binge as such but also wasn't very committed (good meals but ate whispa gold bars in between!!!) and put on 2lb. But I feel brighter today, and ready to recommit without eating myself up about it! I'm loving all of your food diaries, lots of ideas and inspires me to eat well so I can report here. Onwards and upwards!

Sometimes a wispa gold is needed! Well done for getting back on the wagon today. I'm sure the weather influences how we feel. Yesterday here was rain rain and more rain. Today is glorious sunshine and I feel so much cheerier!

Well I'm currently getting "dressed for work" (from home) which, as further self cajoling to actually make some lunchtime exercise happen, is going to involve a morning wearing my workout gear, so I can drop and go at midday. I'm pretty sure I don't have any video calls this morning....!

You know, I don't think I've ever had a wispa gold Shock are they better than ordinary wispas?! Now is not the time to be tempting me with chocolate bars though!

I'm NOT doing very well at the mo, there are lindor in the house. Healthy meals but no exercise and I'm back on the choc. And I'm getting stressed today with getting used to having 2 children and no time to myself. Argh.

I'll be back on it 100% properly tomorrow. I just need to get these lindors out of the house...

@LoveB they are completely disgusting, you definitely shouldn't waste your money on them absolutely bloody delicious
Well my self cajoling tactic of spending the morning working in my gym gear did the trick & I did an online fitness class at lunch which was utterly shocking in terms of how much I've declined doing sweet FA. Hopefully it's the kick up the arse I needed.
I also find I'm way less hungry after exercising so it might be the solution to the afternoon snack craving...

@LoveB there is no way you can have a newborn and lindor in the same house. They are destined to be eaten! How are you getting on with 2.

Manic day here today. All I seem to do is prepare food and tidy away! Had a huge row with my Dad too. Been ok on the food front. I swapped an omlette for tomato spaghetti as we have a glut at the moment. I love it but the kids aren't keen.

Just sitting down with a mfp counted cheese and biscuits and mini roll!

Getting on ok thanks @flowerycurtain. Baby is a good girl. Although if you'd asked me at 12 today I'd have told you we're not getting on ok and everything is a disaster.

Sorry to hear you had a fall out with your dad. You deserve mini rolls.

Oooh great work on your run @LoveB how far did you go? I've been toying with the idea of C25K....I've never been a runner but it seems doable.

Hello all! Now I fancy a wispa!

Ok day today, was really busy so that always helps. Had a lovely new haircut so feel brighter all round.

B - smoothie made with peanut butter and half a banana and a handful of all bran.
L - didn’t bother
D - turkey burger stuffed with goats cheese, massive salad. Greek yog afterwards.
Snacks - couple of breadsticks, houmous, seafood sticks.

@Cavagirl I loved the c25k. About 5 years ago now I lost 5 stone. I couldn't even walk 5k let alone run it. I followed the program and lo and behold managed 5k. I almost still can't believe I'm the sort of person that now goes out for a quick 5k! I can't recommend it enough!

@Qwenzo I don't think I've ever missed a meal in my life!! Sounds like your doing well though.

@elvislives2012 good luck weighing today. Let us know how you get on.

So last night ended up a late one. There were some late night farm issues dh had to deal with and in the process found the friendliest lost dog you've ever come across! Need to try and find the owner this morning.

So I've a long day in the office today and then it's my turn to check the animals late tonight which always tires me out. This is where I end up having a takeaway and sweets to Keep me going. Then as I've given in I think I may as well enjoy the weekend and start afresh on Monday thereby erasing all my hard work.

But not today! Plan today

B - all bran, Greek yoghurt and berries
L - sweet potato salad
T - chilli and rice

Lots and lots of coffee.

@flowerycurtain thanks for your encouragement! I might give it a go, I do miss exercising outside (used to play team sports pre-cv, who knows when that will be back...)
Well I'm half a pound lighter than this time last Friday, now the weekend challenge begins to not undo it all like I've been doing the last few weekends! Got dinner with some friends tonight which will be the first challenge, will try to stick to meat & salad and avoid the calling of bread!
dreams of a big, white fluffy French baguette slathered with brie...

In my defence I've been at work now for 11 hours!

Just need to be careful I don't spoil the whole weekend. Just have this evening off.

Was hoping to go for a run but dh is working all day so I won't be able to. Hoping to have a good day today as we've friends over tomorrow for a bbq

Hey. Started today as well. 800 cals a day for 21 days. At least 4kg to lose.

I'm using dr Claire / Michael mosely fast 800 eating plan.

Today
Brekkie - half avo and 2 poached eggs
Lunch salad
Dinner prawn korma and cauli rice

The hardest bit will be no booze Grin
