Who's in? I'm a mess.

I need a lot of work 😁

I'm going to try and ditch quite a few pounds and make myself more lovely again. I need a complete overhaul. Starting tomorrow obviously!

Just weighed myself and I’m down 3lb from my shock weigh in on Sunday and 4lb from tuesdays wine bloat! The fluctuations are crazy so trying not to fixate too much on the readings but the overall trend. Will prob weigh myself 3 times a week.

Now 13.0. It will be very satisfying when I click down to the 12s (although need to get to 10.7 so long journey).

D1ngledanglers · 18/06/2020 08:22

@Youngatheart00 well done! You must be feeling good!
My scales haven't moved yet. I've been keeping up my steps & just had one toast & butter evening since Saturday, otherwise I've been good.
Apart from steps & running ( which isn't my thing) is anyone doing anything else for fitness?
I'm not keen on working out but perhaps that's what I need the motivation to do....

Innitogether · 18/06/2020 08:33

@Youngatheart00 - well done! I’ve just weighed myself too and I’m down from 12st 13.4lb on Monday to 12st 10.4lb today, I’m so chuffed, I needed a decent loss to spur me on. I’ve been clean fasting on 16:8 (strictly black coffee and water during fasting times) and I’ve eased off the Keto plan so have been eating carbs but sticking to around 1200 calories and logging everything. I haven’t done any exercise either.

I attended a Times+ online health event on Tuesday and one of the things Ian Marber said was that people who weigh every day do tend to lose slightly more weight (don’t do this if you have disorder eating though). It was a good event, I’ll post a recap of it later.

Innitogether · 18/06/2020 08:38

One thing that did come out of the Times talk was cortisol. It might be part of the reason people are putting on weight during lockdown, it’s a stressful time for us all (even those who think it’s not really affecting them are probably releasing more cortisol) and raised cortisol can make us reach for the carbs, hence the snacking and belly fat gain - www.medicinenet.com/can_stress_make_you_fat/views.htm

Morning @Sforsh49 happy to have you join us. Good luck.

@Innitogether and @Youngatheart00

Well done both of you on your weight loss. Great work, I am really pleased for you. Keep at it.

Unfortunately I woke up at 3am and ate four slices of toast and Nutella. It seemed like a good idea at the time but regretting it massively now. I will try harder today. I managed just over 10,000 steps yesterday.

It's pouring here today and I am not looking forward to walking the dog, I will do it though as I am determined to get my steps in every day.

I'm in. My clothes dont fit, I'm fat as fuck. Dont want to weigh myself as just cant face it. Im living in joggy bottoms and a ponytail.

I actually look like Miss Trunchbull!

DeterminedLittleBugger · 18/06/2020 09:37

Sorry I didn’t check in yesterday...I’ve broke my toe Sad

So annoyed as was determined to do my steps, eat right, Princess etc and now I can’t really walk. Ugghhhhhh.

Feeling a bit sorry for myself this morning but hopefully will perk up and get back to princessing.

Well done everyone that is sticking at it.

D1ngledanglers · 18/06/2020 09:38

I've just sweated and clunked my way through Davina's "Bottom Fit" - feel like I may have peaked too soon today!

ThornsInMySides · 18/06/2020 09:43

@DeterminedLittleBugger oh no, you poor thing. I broke three toes a few years back. It's not great but you will soon feel better. Rest up and princess!

OP posts:
ThornsInMySides · 18/06/2020 09:45

@GoldenPlatitudes joggers and a ponytail 😂

Be brave, get on the scales. Cry and then own it! You can do this.

I’ve lost 2lbs which takes me to 12st pretty happy that the weight is shifting at last. I’ve got 8 lbs to go to get to a normal BMI.

I did some deep conditioner on my hair which was a big improvement. Need to get hold of some nail polish to do my feet!

Innitogether · 18/06/2020 09:49

@DeterminedLittleBugger - Ouch! Flowers how did you break your toe? I remember stubbing my toe on the corner of a fancy-shmancy pillar in a friends kitchen once, it was sooo painful that I've decided I will only have curved edges and no sticky out bits if I ever get a fancy kitchen of my own.

overweightcat · 18/06/2020 09:49

Morning!

DH dragged me out of bed for a workout this morning as I wasn't having it when the alarm went off.
40mins of a mild ish HITT then he put on joe wicks 7 minute abs Envy < not jealousy.

But I'm now showered and caffeinated and was going to stick to my 1200cals and just realised a few weeks ago I impulsively ordered a Project D doughnut delivery which is arriving today ShockBlushBlush - i thought it was for Father's Day but clearly spectacularly mixed my dates up...

Avogato · 18/06/2020 09:54

Hello, I would like to join please!

I weighed in at 11 stone this morning - that’s a 9lb gain since lockdown and a 2 stone gain since I got married in 2018. This is the heaviest I have ever been, 10st is usually my fat weight. I am only 5ft 4 and can not pull off the weight at all. None of my clothes fit and I’m having to live in leggings etc.

I just don’t feel like myself at this weight and am determined to get down to 9st by my wedding anniversary in September - have just under 3 months to lose 2 stone.

I am going to try and stick to a 100% Huel diet for as long as I can manage (shakes and snack bars). I bagged a free cross trainer so am going to aim to do at least half an hour on that every day, do some weights and go for walks. I am about 2 weeks in to a 3 month alcohol free challenge (One Year No Beer programme) so will continue with that.

I did some princessing last night - painted my nails and did a face mask while drinking lemon and ginger tea. It was really lovey as I have neglected myself for quite a while, not just during lockdown.

SistemaAddict · 18/06/2020 10:28

We didn't wake up until 9.45! Unheard of. I'm just having breakfast then need to write an assignment. It's a lovely wet and cool day after the muggy heat of the last few days. I'll try to do steps before lunch but it's going to be a day of sitting at the laptop.

SistemaAddict · 18/06/2020 10:38

DeterminedLittleBugger sorry to hear about your toe. I broke mine on an exercise bike when I was 18🙄 Hope the pain subsides soon.

winterisstillcoming · 18/06/2020 12:15

Slept really well last night so hoping for a good day.

I'm supposed to be going for a walk this evening with a friend but it's not looking likely.

Im peak hungry at the mo but I know I'll be ok once I punch through it.

I'm going shopping tomorrow so going to stock up on protein and low cal treats. Any 50 cal treats and 100 cal snack suggestions would be welcome. I've got lentil crisps on the list!

ThornsInMySides · 18/06/2020 12:38

I managed to walk the dog for forty minutes in between rain showers without getting wet. I'm starving but trying to hold off as long as possible.

Can I join please? I weighed myself for the first time in lockdown today......actually not too bad at all. I’ve put on about 3-4 pounds and I was a healthy weight already.
I should have left it there, I really should. I could have smugly gone back to the sofa with the biscuit tin. But I decided to look at myself properly in the mirror. BIG mistake!
You know how they say muscle weighs more than fat? Well Ive obviously lost a F#ckload of muscle!!!!! That explains the tight trousers then, and the sloth like energy levels
I think I now understand the term ‘skinny fat’. Not that Ive ever been exactly ‘skinny’ Blush

starrynight19 · 18/06/2020 13:46

I definately mean business even done my daily walk today in the pouring down rain. Determined to get 10k steps every day.
Have been following slimming world all week and no alcohol and feel so much better already.

SistemaAddict · 18/06/2020 14:16

I've had porridge with banana for lunch. And a glass of water. My stomach feels pretty empty though. You know that hollow growly feeling? According to my app I have 644 calories left for the day. That makes me sad although it's already gone 2pm and I don't eat after dinner at 5-6. Time for some lentil chips. Pasta for dinner.

ThornsInMySides · 18/06/2020 14:21

@starrynight19 I am determined too with getting 10,000 steps in each day. I've managed it every day since Monday. Every time I need the loo I go upstairs instead of using the downstairs one as it adds more steps.

Thanks everyone...here is my un-princessy toe Blush. It’s the same underneath too.

I stubbed it on the end of a marble fireplace. I’m living at home at the moment during the lockdown as my parents are shielding and need help and I lived alone and my mother went INSANE at me as in the process I knocked over a water bottle and got water on her wood floor and didn’t clean it up quick enough for her. She had a massive row with me over the spilt water and didn’t give a fig about the broken toe Grin. Crazy lockdown life eh?! Can’t wait to move out.

Any tips for the healing process would be really appreciated! I can’t put weight on it at all. Really looking forward to being able to exercise again and wondering how long it would be.

You are all doing really well!

Think I’m going to do a face mask later and have a healthy dinner.
