Who's in? I'm a mess.

I need a lot of work 😁

I'm going to try and ditch quite a few pounds and make myself more lovely again. I need a complete overhaul. Starting tomorrow obviously!

Oh also gluten free after horrific pain etc which has been a revelation!

SistemaAddict · 17/06/2020 11:12

Some interesting food choices on here 😂 I'm the same and eat random things. Good going to all those who have lost weight.

It's Victoria's Secret Eau So Sexy. Embarrassing name but smells gorgeous. I'm not a perfume fan but love this and it's so fresh and light and feminine.

ThornsInMySides · 17/06/2020 11:38

@Kljnmw3459 is it only me that giggles at the word Frankfurter 🤣

Is a frankfurter those long sausages that come in a tall glass jar?

@Bercows, yes I have a Fitbit versa

MummyGoingItAlone · 17/06/2020 12:34

@Youngatheart00

I love the thought of outdoor swimming but similar body concerns (and is this open water or just outdoor poor?) if the former what if you touch a creature Shock squeamish

Run was predictably tough and I felt like a useless blob, not least as a group of lads started taking the piss out of me. So angry and upset about it.

It’s a lake swim. You just pretend there is nothing in there, and if anything touches you you tell yourself it’s a reed 😳
Youngatheart00 · 17/06/2020 12:42

Well done @OrlandoInTheWilderness on your early wins - a great boost I’m sure!

Just been for a walk on my lunch break and managed 7000 steps before the heavens opened! Am pleased I got out because it looks fairly set in now with thunderstorms and rain for the rest of the day.

Heating up some leek and potato soup for lunch! Can’t resist having some crusty bread with it though Shock

Youngatheart00 · 17/06/2020 12:44

@MummyGoingItAlone I’m sure it’s exhilarating, and the thought of swimming with space around me appeals (vs a swimming pool when often feel v hemmed in) - strangely enough I love swimming in the sea but a lake I would find daunting!

MummyGoingItAlone · 17/06/2020 12:57

@Youngatheart00 it’s absolutely amazing. Everybody should try it once

ThornsInMySides · 17/06/2020 13:42

@MummyGoingItAlone nothing on earth could get me in a cossie right now!

Can I join?
I'm over a month in, I've tried and failed to loose over the past 9 years, watched the weight slowly creep up to 11st and 9lbs at my only just 5'5" height and I do not carry weight well!

I'm down to 10st and 9lbs as of last Friday and aiming to get down to around 9st and 7lbs so just over a stone to go and that should be bang in the middle of my BMI range and hopefully I'll be happy at that weight.

Downloaded MFP 35 days ago today and aiming for 1200cals a day, allowed a few cheat days here and there but generally on the mark - not being too strict on the calories at the weekend but still generally keep to under 1Trying to stick to 3 x 20min workouts from YouTube and 2 x 40min ones mon-fri and weekends off apart from walking the dog.

ThornsInMySides · 17/06/2020 14:06

Hi @overweightcat you are doing really well. I don't carry weight well either, I think it helps if you are tall. I just look short and very fat. I'm 5'4 and was 11st 12.5 when I started on Monday. I was only 10st at nine months pregnant. I had such a shock when I weighed myself and was so upset I cried. I've been really good so far, but only on day three.

@ThornsInMySides thanks! I've gone through all the stages with it "I'm a saggy blob" to "I'm fine it's natural to gain after DCs" and telling myself it's not as bad as it seems - well it absolutely is/was.

I have a picture of myself DP took at Christmas with my pjs on and no makeup sat on the floor helping DCs with their gifts and it was one of those where I looked at it and thought "that's not me, I do not identify with this person on the picture" and I think I'm going to save it on my phone as a reminder of why I'm doing this.

@Bercows I don't have an official Fitbit I have one from Amazon that was around £25 and I find it fine. I don't wear it all the time just mainly for walks.

Kljnmw3459 · 17/06/2020 15:27

@ThornsInMySides yes, except the ones I have now are the polish variety. Delicious and unhealthy!

D1ngledanglers · 17/06/2020 15:36

@tracey47 have you tried any workouts on YouTube?
My daughter does HIIT, but they're a bit much for me to start off with. I would recommend Davina - more the old fashioned routines of grape vines & a bit more gentle in all ways!
However, I'm sure you'll feel good to get out for a walk. Today would be good as it's rainy - less people around, to build up your confidence.
I'm your age and the weight isn't coming off like it used to!
Hope you're feeling more positive about things.

SistemaAddict · 17/06/2020 15:56

I finished the bag of lentil chips today. They've last 3 days so that's a huge improvement on eating one at night Blush

PrimalLass · 17/06/2020 16:55

I have an official FitBit. It's fine but not overly exciting.

PrimalLass · 17/06/2020 16:59

Dried and straightened my hair today. I still look like Wurzel Gummidge as it hasn't been cut and coloured since January.

SistemaAddict · 17/06/2020 17:07

I'll just hold onto my phone when I do my stepping.

I'm having a chip buttie for dinner. It's what I fancy so 🤷🏼‍♀️

It's movie night on Saturday and I'll ignore the 18:6 rules that day. It's our family time and important to engage in popcorn eating.

Youngatheart00 · 17/06/2020 20:17

I’ve had a healthy dinner but will confess to having just eaten a twirl.

Kljnmw3459 · 17/06/2020 20:52

Big portion of chickpea and tomato salad for dinner.

SistemaAddict · 17/06/2020 21:12

I'm hungry! This is always my hungry time.

Cornishbelle · 17/06/2020 21:32

I'm in! Dd nearly two and still 2.5stone of baby weight to lose- the entire amount!! Cal counting c25k and Fitbit and loads of water

SistemaAddict · 17/06/2020 21:42

I've just signed up to my fitness pal. I'm 29 calories over what they have decided I should eat. I have still cut around a quarter of my calories out though so far this week. Today has not been a healthy choices day but I enjoyed those chips. I rarely eat chips apart from the lentil ones. Tomorrow will be more fruit and I might do a veggie noodle dish again. And I won't have the 2 chocolate digestives I had today!
Tonight I'm going to get an early night. I sleep like the dead since lockdown apart from the odd night where I don't sleep well at all and lie awake for 3 hours in the middle of the night. We had a fantastic storm here and the air is fresh and cool now. Bliss. I've had a bedtime shower and moisturised my legs and arms and done my facial routine. I took my vitamin today too.

I really hope I can kick the bedtime eating habit. I did it once last year and felt better for it once I wasn't being kept awake by hunger. I'm eating breakfast when I get up so usually between around 8.30, lunch is between 12 and 1, dinner between 5 and 6. Not quite 16:8 but it's about 14.5-15.5 fasting which I think is a big improvement. I'm amazed I don't wake up very hungry when I've been so hungry at bedtime but I just feel normally hungry.

How has everyone's day been?

winterisstillcoming · 17/06/2020 21:49

Hi all. Working today so slightly over at 1300 cal but only 3000 steps. Oh well. Off tomorrow so will try some princessing.

A small sliver of a chance that we might actually go on holiday so that's motivating me.

Sforsh49 · 17/06/2020 22:32

Can I join? I started WW again on Monday. Need to shift about 18lb ideally, I was motivated by period bloat and feeling rubbish on Monday. I try to do 16:8 too. I'm not a girly girl but I've moisturised my face today and have clean bedding, that will do for now!
