I'm going to try and ditch quite a few pounds and make myself more lovely again. I need a complete overhaul. Starting tomorrow obviously!

Afternoon ladies. Gorgeous sunny day here so trying to get some work done in the garden whilst my little plays in the paddling pool. Stuck to my 1450 cals yesterday and today I've weighed in at 3lb 4oz lighter than I did 3 weeks ago. Happy with that.

You've also spured me on to find my Fitbit!

Husband made scones today (why do all these yummy treats occur now when I'm trying to lose flab?!) Treated myself to one small one, but added all the cal into MFP.

Well done to all the losers so far this week! Everyone seems to be doing really well so far. Not weigh in day for me until Saturday but a good start to the week. No snacks yesterday apart from the sanctioned 2 squares of chocolate and a 5k before breakfast this morning. I am hungry though!!

I was starting to feel faint when making the dcs' pancakes at lunch. Takes ages to make 9 pancakes. I might have to increase my intake slightly.
Anyone slightly constipated? It's the lack of lentil chips! They are quite high in fibre and my system is missing them. I drink loads of water and am doing more exercise. I was dancing when doing the pancakes much today the DC's horror Grin

@Bercows - anytime I eat healthily I have to add a sachet of movicol to my first water bottle of the day, no amount of fibre makes things work. ConfusedBlush

When you say "slightly constipated", I think the difficulty is it has different meanings for everyone. Some people poop 2 times a day whereas for others one every 3 days is the norm. Sorry if TMI!

Argh! Goddamn it, I'm 218 calories over today. That's what happens when we watch a film in the afternoon and I finish off the ziti because I didn't want to waste the half a small portion extra that was left.

I'm tying to think back to when I was first really unwell with my eating disorder. I started off with sensible eating, cutting calories to the recommended level of 2000. Because I was eating too much before then I lost over a stone easily in a short space of time. I was completely obsessive though within a short time. I think I reduced down to 1200 but would regularly not eat at all. For a week. Towards the end of the week I'd allow myself a sieved cup a soup to make sure there was nothing solid in there as I only allowed myself fluids. I lived on Diet Coke and options hot chocolate. I felt like shit unsurprisingly Confused I look back and laugh now at how batshit I was. Occasionally I'd buy a 99 ice cream and eat the ice cream using the flake as a kind of spoon. Then I'd throw both flake and cone away. Ice cream counted as a liquid as it was soft and soon melted 🤷🏼‍♀️

Ah, @Bercows, I’ve been there. A period in my teens when I ate once a week - Friday night fry up after the pub. The rest of the week I lived on Diet Coke and the occasional bar of chocolate. I was a skinny thing. Probably one of the reasons I haven’t been skinny, or anything resembling it, since.

I’ve only had water so far today. Dinner tonight will be Whole30 compliant but can’t remember what’s planned. DH is cooking tonight as I had a long work day. I have PMT so I’ve had some tricky moments today, not least when my daughter’s ice cream dripped all over my house and I didn’t lick it off!

I can have constipation issues if I'm not careful. I think it's also the lack of volume of food as well as the fact that protein is really dense. I try and eat beans and spinach and lots of peppermint tea.

@Bercows 218 cals over is still likely to be under your TDEE so it's absolutely fine. You will still lose with that. Whatever you do try not to let it put you in fuck it mode. If you need to get a walk in this week to mitigate.

I've got 5 stone to lose.

Have done it before. (Haven't we all)

But I just can't seem to stick to anything this time.

Considering one of the crazy shake things for a few weeks so that 1500 cal or SW seems a treat after!!

Piri piri chicken thighs, brown rice and lots of veg for tea tonight. Carbs definitely help with that winter and don't have to be cut out. Drink plenty of fluids.

Salmon kebabs in tiny pittas with salad and vegan 'dirty fries' from Asda. Still way under my cals for the day but I'm stuffed so I won't be having anything else.

@Bercows when I was a teen a friend of mine said girls daily calorie intake was 700cals (obviously she was as clever as me back then) and I ended up mortified at how much I worked out I was eating and started avoiding food a lot - I was a perfectly fine weight a size 8. It was v easy for me to not eat for most of the day as my parents set off for work before I woke up and I would take myself to school. So no breakfast, no lunch or maybe just a snack and usually had teeny portions at dinner or avoided it saying I had a big lunch at school and wasn't hungry. Combined with 8 hours of dance classes a week and 5 PE (I was a competitor for the school) I am not sure how I held up.
Luckily I came to my senses when my DM pointed out I'm starting to look a bit unwell and I actually looked the info up Blush

Also joining please. I lost two stone prior to lock down and put one back on Angry. Finding these posts so inspiring and loving the self care element. I've a ton of smellies to use up so am trying to be diligent and moisturise after each shower. Since I've been WFH, I've pretty much become sedentary so really trying to boost up my steps daily Smile

My top tip of the journey so far is to clean your teeth after your last meal to help stop you from snacking in the evening. I've found it helpful and tend to have them
Done by 6pm. After that I just have water. I drink loads of iced water. I'd love something a little more exciting though to be honest.

Good tips on the teeth brushing. I like having diet sparkling water, apple and elderflower or similar, to make a change from pints of water. That said I am enjoying 200ml of red wine tonight, all within my cals for the day and I've had a loooooong day with my tantruming 2 yr old. I deserve it tonight! Must stop myself from reaching for the chocolate afterwards though. 91 cals under target today.

Welcome @BMaman! Please dont be tempted by the diet shakes. Totally unsustainable. We've all been there, I did it before my wedding (2.5 stone ago!) I did it for a couple of months before getting a grip on myself. Plus the ones I had at least were absolutely loaded with sugar.

My beautifying today included getting my tanning stuff out of the back of the cupboard and I am now looking bronzed. Still fat, but with a healthy glow!

Don't laugh everyone but I've gone and ordered myself a skipping rope! I fancied a skip in the back garden, I used to love a skipping race at school and just for fun in the playground. Good exercise?

Had quite a good day. Drank loads of water and did a workout and also went for a long walk which was so hard in this heat but made me feel good. When the weather is lively like this I also crave a cold glass of rose in the evening but I'm going to wait until the weekend x

@TitsalinaBumSquash the skipping rope sounds fab! One of the best ways to get fit (I’ve heard!)

Annoyed with myself. Frustrating day at work (at home, going stir crazy) hot and bothered. So I’ve had a large glass of wine followed by a gin and (light) tonic and a Chinese. It definitely shows me that once I’ve had a drink I’ve no food discipline.

However, went for a walk just now and got myself up to 10,000 steps for the day. The chub rub is real though 😫

Due on AF tomorrow or the next day. I really struggle with PMT and anxiety / low mood as well as general bloat and cramps so I’m just going to try and ride the storm until the weekend.

I’m feeling horrid today. It’s cycle day 28 and I’ve got appalling PMT. both my body and mind feel utterly broken. Urgh, being a woman sucks.
