Well done both - I had another 1.6. Can’t believe I haven’t managed something more impressive yet. But that’s a record five losses in a row for me - usually i would have had at least one gain in that time. Here’s to lockdown and no eating out!Wine

meow1989 · 21/05/2020 09:05

Well done all!
I'm 4lb but ok with this because:

  • I'm due on imminently
  • a friend bought a batch of the most delicious sea salt flapjack for me and dh... dh was allowed one of the six!
  • I've not been counting or using mfp much because of above.

My Jean's are too tight this morning so are undone... remind me not to stand up during any skype meetings at work Grin

sushinelove · 21/05/2020 09:40

2lb off for me which is great. Even better I am finally in another stone bracket, that's the incentive I need this week.

Minnie123456 · 21/05/2020 09:59

1lb off, pleased with that as I didn't think I would of lost any.
Well done everyone Smile

unappreciativeoh · 21/05/2020 10:09

Well done all of you!

Fabulodosus · 21/05/2020 10:24

Thanks @diege and you!

Sounds like a lot have had a good week. Well done!!

overwork · 21/05/2020 10:29

Well despite my rather erratic behaviour I am now 3/4 of a lb less than this time last week, and, more excitingly, I'm in the 11's!! Well done everyone, especially those who have also dropped into a new stone category! I will not be weighing myself again till next Thursday!

AutumnNymph · 21/05/2020 10:47

2 lbs down for me which I am super pleased about! Now the focus on keeping it off.

JonHammIsMyJamm · 21/05/2020 10:49

Gutted.

Not a single lb off. STS. I felt good, I’ve been within calories, exercised properly, not snacked and eaten good quality food.

Congratulations to everyone who lost this week Star

MrsSnitchnose · 21/05/2020 11:19

Another pound off here. Pleased with that. Well done everyone!

Well done all!

Mediumred · 21/05/2020 11:35

I’ve lost another pound, er, so only down two overall but I do feel more in the zone (haha, have said this before) I am doing so well with exercising and eating but my downfall is coming home after a late shift and eating and drinking LOADS then! Am on a late shift tonight and tomorrow and my plan is to go to bed with a large glass of wine and just read my phone in bed for 20 mins. Ok, this doesn’t sound great but it’s just one glass of wine (sometimes it can be 2/3rds of a bottle) and it’s not raiding the fridge, and it’s just 20 mins instead of the more normal 90mins or more I am up and then bit knackered the next day.

Well done to everyone. JonHamm try not to be too disheartened, sometimes you get a standstill week, it’s a bugger but you are going in the right direction overall!

LimeJellyforBrains · 21/05/2020 12:54

One pound off for me - was sts last week. Am also dead on 13 stone (on my scales which I now know underweigh by about 5 lbs according to Wii Fit!) so quite motivated to get into the 12s by next week!

Trouble with only going shopping every 10 days or so is I run out of salads as they don't keep for that long. Will have to do a mini shop tomorrow when I drop my car off at the garage.

Good luck for the coming week everyone, and gutted for you @JonHammIsMyJamm as it's obvious you have been doing really well.

JonHammIsMyJamm · 21/05/2020 14:26

Thank you limejelly & mediumred. I am dejected, I won’t lie.

MrsSnitchnose · 21/05/2020 15:39

@JonHammIsMyJamm Are you new to the exercise you're doing?

OP posts:
JonHammIsMyJamm · 21/05/2020 17:39

His @MrsSnitchnose, no I’m not new really. I’m running and doing Pilates and yoga, plus dog walking (my own dog). I’m on week 7 of the c25k programme but was a regular runner (two 5Ks and a 10K per week) until about 18mo ago when I injured my knee. I’m using c25k to ease myself back in gently. I’ve been doing yoga for about 10yrs, on and off (mostly on). I am newish to Pilates though but that doesn’t make up the bulk of my exercise, dog walking (every day, about 6.5k steps) & running do (every other day).

MrsSnitchnose · 21/05/2020 18:11

That could have something to do with the stalling @JonHammIsMyJamm If you've been out of the game for a while, or upped the intensity of your workouts.

I only mention it because I ususally lose a lot faster than I am currently, but I don't usually do any other exercise except my day to day walking. I found this article that I thought was interesting, and hope things will settle down soon possibly grasping at straws

Interesting. I’ll have a read later, I’m cooking dinner at the mo Smile

lovinglavidaloca · 21/05/2020 18:37

Been out a walk with the kids today and did a 40 minute HIIT so burned 646 calories altogether!

Had a bagel for breakfast, leek and potato soup for lunch and having home made chow mein for dinner. Snacks have been a banana and a twix. Peckish now bit will try and hold off till dinner.

Fabulodosus · 21/05/2020 18:40

That's interesting @MrsSnitchnose! My friend found this training for a marathon and couldn't explain the weight gain! (She's not overweight but it didn't seem like muscle gain as she already does other sports).

Are you feeling fitter @JonHammIsMyJamm

Fabulodosus · 21/05/2020 18:42

It lost the rest of my message!

I was trying to say that I feel a lot fitter than 2 months ago which I really noticed today send makes me feel better for not losing what I wanted to hence wondering if you felt fitter? Numbers aren't always everything etc....

OneOfTheGrundys · 21/05/2020 18:53

3 off but I’ve just finished period so probs not a true representation.

Queenoftheashes · 21/05/2020 21:45

@JonHammIsMyJamm it’s harder as well when you don’t have so much to lose! Keep at it and it will happen.

Minnie123456 · 21/05/2020 23:03

Another walk completed today, only out for 40minutes and at a slowish pace as Dd was with me, but a small walk is better than no walk right? My feet are sore though so I think I need a comfier pair of trainers for walking.
70 calories under my target today. We had lasagne and chips for tea but I had a smaller portion than usual. I love lasagne.
Dd and I made a vanilla sponge cake with pink icing so I think I might treat myself to a small slice with a cup of tea tomorrow night. I find if I cut things out completely I crave them more, so I need to try and eat things in moderation.

OwlinaTree · 21/05/2020 23:15

1.5 lb off for me this week, I'm really pleased with that! Only half a lb away from my target.

Well done losers, some good results this week. Sorry about the STS Jon it is a bummer especially when you have tried. Hopefully you will have a good loss next week.

Not sure how I'll get on this week, bank holiday weekend and got a week off work so we will see. Supposed to be having a BBQ on Saturday and a takeaway tomorrow Shock also I've bought wine as really enjoyed drink some last weekend...

Went for a run tonight, couldn't face it yesterday in the heat. 5.5km, went well. I am thinking of finding a 10k race to enter when lockdown finished so I can have something to aim for.
