Thank you guys. I don’t know much about weight loss (hence my weight 😂) but I think I’m still allowed some treats... I cannot give up my toast for breakfast. It’s just a no go.

@OneOfTheGrundys Welcome to the thread Smile If you want to have toast, have it, just work it into your daily calories.

There's a lot of people that swear by low carb, but it isn't really necessary. You have to find the approach that works for you

Use a BMR calculator to find out how many calories your body uses each day and then subtract 500 per day from that figure in order to lose a lb a week. It’s eye opening to actually see the number of calories we need rather than what we want!

@lovinglavidaloca is that like Nutracheck? It’s all calculated on there. I had a big lunch so only 28 cals left today 😂

I can’t remember if Nutracheck calculated it for me or not!

My OH has just suggested takeaway tonight. This will be the first unplanned takeaway in the six weeks I’ve been doing this and means I’ll be significantly over my calories because I didn’t know in advance to keep them Blush

Hope it doesn’t affect my weigh in too much tomorrow.

Good that you did the run Jon. I've made soup today and finished decorating my son's room, so quite productive! We drove to a local beauty spot for a walk but it looked really busy so went to a different page which was much quieter, and very nice. Not sure what's for tea yet...

Happy Monday everyone! Here's to staying motivated and giving it our best shot, even when things aren't moving in the right direction!

I'm a sneaky daily weigher, and after a weekend of self denial (buying/making chippy chips and chocolate cookies, but having neither) , workouts, and a 2 hour session with the flymo the scales are saying I've put ON a pound 😆

Bloody idiot piss-taking things! I'm not deterred, but come ON!!!! 😞 Determined now to keep going!

I’m hoping for a decent loss this week. I’ve been consistently under or on track with calories and exercise and only had alcohol on one day. Even the pate/cheese/bottle of wine day only pushed me 54 cals over because I didn’t eat an evening meal (I was bloody hungry by bedtime though!). We’ll see. Knowing my luck, I’ll probably be the same as you, @diege and have gained after all my efforts.

I can’t have an omlette this morning as we’re out of eggs. I bought 20 on Thursday and they’ve all gone already Shock. I need to pick some more up today, I’ve managed to not do top up shops at all during lockdown (just weekly ‘big shops’), so I’m a bit disappointed really but hey ho. Needs must.

Hello @diege I’m new here with 3 stone to lose.
That must have been frustrating to see on the scales... maybe there will be a bigger loss next week? I have no idea! I wanted to say thank you for sharing everything. I know there will be bad bits and good ahead and it helps lots to know that this is normal!!!

@diege I weigh daily too and that happened to me after a 24 hour fast this weekend! This morning it’s down though. Got to keep at it and wait for it to catch up.
I’m always annoyed with my tiny slow losses but now looking at my MyFitnessPal chart it’s a good downward line for the last month and 6.6 ib off. Not as much as I’d like but starting to add up to some real progress. Go PTCEDYFBs!

Grrrr 3lbs on according to the scales this morning. Annoying but I know I stick to my calories every day (apart from my surprise pizza yesterday) so I know that hopefully by the time I weigh next week it’ll have worked itself out. Maybe I need to just weigh once a month instead.

I am ovulating I think so wonder if that could be the cause of the gain. It can’t be one off plan pizza when I have over a 6000 calorie deficit in the week.

Where was the pizza from? I always used to gain after a dominos AND wake up feeling hungover because it was so salty - think it makes you retain water.

Queen I like the idea of waiting for the scales to catch up 😅 Ive has the required calorie deficit (and more!) so my scales just have to wake up to that! I'm eyeing up the finger of fudge cookies I made for the dcs...will have to get them to eat them all up #goodparent 😂

It wasn’t a dominos (unfortunately, as it’s my favourite) but you’re right about the salt - it could have been that.

No eggs, as I said, so I’ve had microwave porridge with a tablespoon of whizzed up golden linseeds (flax seeds - full of omega 3s). So that’s semi-virtuous. I’ve also stripped my bed and need to do the spare too but they’re both super kings and it’s a ball ache. Still, it’ll burn some extra calories, I suppose.

Hi @OneOfTheGrundys, i'm looking to loose around 3 stone, according to my weight tracker i'm obese as well so any weight loss is a bonus. Did you add yourself onto the spreadsheet? I think theres a link to it on 1st page of this post?We weigh ourselves,usually on a thursday and record it all there. Good luck with your weight lossSmile

So this week WILL be a good week, maybe if I post it here it will be lol.
So the weekend was completely out the window, DH ordered pizza last night of course with chips, garic bread and chicken strips. I didn't even bother recording my calories as I knew it was about a millionBlush
How does everyone keep on track at the weekend? I find it hard as its my time to relax, so I give in too easily because "1 treat won't hurt" which turns into lots of treats
