I’m cooking up sausages for dinner. I’ll have mine with veggies. I’ve really been eating rubbish today. I just couldn’t stop. I’m much better when I don’t buy the snacks in the first place. Never go to the supermarket when you’re hungry!

Some of you are doing brilliantly and it’s encouraging me!

I did also buy in some healthy foods so I just have to refocus tomorrow. I’ve bought a jumpsuit and it fits I think it’ll look good when I’m a few pounds down!

JontyDoggle37 · 13/02/2020 06:22

Ha @JessJonesJumps looks like my eyesight was wonky as well as the rest of me!! I’m up an entire kilo today 😡 back on the wagon today although no idea what lunch will bring as I’m at a course type thing all day.

cricketmum84 · 13/02/2020 07:15

Morning all! I can almost smell the weekend looming!

No change in weight today, my one bug bear with daily weighing! I really need to have the discipline to get back to weekly or even twice weekly at a push.

Plan for today is:
B - satsumas and peppermint tea
L - leftover curry from last night and some more broccoli rice
D - littlest DD is cooking pasta so I may just have one of the slimpasta diet meals. Don't really want to jeopardise any loss with pasta.

No meetings today yay!! Should be a steady away kinda day.

I am weighing -2lb off last week despite my gain yesterday. I think it was hormonal due to cycle.

Tryingtwo · 13/02/2020 07:52

Good morning, it seems that yesterday was challenging for a lot of us.
Unsurprisimgly I'm up today but only by 0.2lbs so not as bad as it should have been.

KedsAndTubeSocks · 13/02/2020 08:34

Unsurprisingly, I'm up a bit too. Amusingly, I weighed myself first thing this morning, then went to the toilet and weighed myself again. According to my scales, I weighed more after going to the toilet. I really should buy new scales!

MsTSwift · 13/02/2020 08:41

9 st 12 meaning I am exactly 2 stone less than when I began on Oct 8th

Bmi was 27 now 21
Dress size was 14 now 10/12

cricketmum84 · 13/02/2020 08:43

Just a thought for anyone who is struggling. I have this saved in my photo album as motivation. I find it so helpful to have a read of it when my motivation is low or I'm craving unhealthy food.

That's amazing @MsTSwift. Such a good loss. I have also saved that picture @cricketmum84, really worth remembering.

I haven't lost in a couple of days but I usually have a bit of a drop once or twice a week so I'm not too worried.

JessJonesJumps · 13/02/2020 09:46

I'm up 1lbs since the last day my scales worked. It's my weigh-in day today.
Jan SW: 13.7.8
CW: 12.13.8
Loss: 8lbs
Definitely much slower than Jan and nowhere near on track to lose 7lbs this month. I have put the chocolate and the toffee away to stop me mindlessly grazing.
MsTSwift your losses are amazing! That's so inspiring.

Onesmallstep67 · 13/02/2020 10:26

@KedsAndTubeSocks, thank you for your experience of HRT. I will see how I am doing by the time the scheduled blood tests happen and ask them to check my hormone levels. Ideally the least I have to take the better so unless they thought I would definitely benefit I won't pursue it.

15 st 3 lbs today, a little drop and back to the lowest I saw at the start of the month. I am being weighed tomorrow at the doctors ( with the nurse) She had me at 100kg at the last weigh in in January but this morning I am closer to 96kg so that should merit a gold star !
As a one time Catholic ( always a Catholic) Lent is approaching and usually I try to give up something. For some reason it triggers a purposeful response, maybe like those of you who are cutting out carbs. So I am going to try to cut out something I might often turn to for snacking and see if I can be disciplined with that. The last time I cut out crisps in 2004 I ended up pregnant though, hopefully not the same outcome this time Shock

Skyejuly · 13/02/2020 10:42

Well done Mrs swift x

recklessgran · 13/02/2020 10:43

Morning all. I'm in awe of the losses on here and want to thank you all as I'm definitely being encouraged by everyone else's successes and struggles. This is such a lovely place!
I've been on Sainsburys Tu clothing this morning as they have 25% off. So, 2 lovely tops and a sundress in a size 14 winging their way here for next to nothing. My new smaller wardrobe is slowly building up. I'm not wearing any of it yet but enjoy looking at it and it is motivating me to stay on the wagon.
I've seen a small drop on the scales this morning - getting closer to the 12s and in my journal where I'm logging my daily weight, steps and food I can see a definite downward trajectory even though it's very slow.
OMAD for me today. DGC after school for Spag bol. I'm having pork chop, roasted cauliflower, runner beans and cheesy mushrooms.Lots of water. Have a good day all.

MotherOfDragonite · 13/02/2020 15:09

I am coming up to the last third of my cycle and (because of this??) am starving all the time and craving carbs and fat. Staying within my points but it feels more of a struggle than it did in the first two weeks of WW.

B: boiled egg on wholewheat toast with Tabasco sauce
L: chili miso soup, crumpet with light cheese spread and tomatoes
D: probably baked sweet potatoes with a salad with chickpeas in it
S: nectarine, banana

Egghead68 · 13/02/2020 16:08

Congratulations on your smaller clothes @recklessgran. Not weighed since Sunday but just had another curry buffet and chocolate fountain dessert (am on holiday and the food is amazing) so I am not expecting any loss this month. KOKO everyone, especially those plateauing.

Tryingtwo · 13/02/2020 19:51

I've made better choices today. I've drunk my 3.5 pints of water and finished on 1244 cals.

lboogy · 13/02/2020 20:05

Lost half a kg. So now 76.6. Total weight loss 3.4 kg since January.

SconNotScone · 13/02/2020 20:09

Nearly the weekend everyone! Hope you all have had a good week.

I had a little chuckle at the term “snaccident” - definitely had a few of those!

I have had a fairly good day food-wise.
B) Greek yoghurt, stewed apples and blueberries, mixed nuts on top.
L) chicken/pepper skewer, rice with peas, small corn on cob and little bit of lettuce/cucumber (eating from work canteen, portions are TINY!)
D) Waitrose smokey chorizo and chicken soup, mini bread rolls.

I estimate it’s hovering around 1200 cals. I’m at work all evening, I always want to raid the biscuit tin on these evenings, so to satisfy the sweet craving, I have an Options salted caramel hot chocolate (38 cals).

Weigh day in the morning. I’m so hoping I have exited the 11 stones!! Would need to have lost just over 1.5lb in order to get there, fingers crossed!

SconNotScone · 13/02/2020 20:10

The salted caramel hot choc is delish by the way!

MotherOfDragonite · 13/02/2020 22:03

Thanks for the tip @SconNotScone, that sounds like a good one for the evenings (historically when I struggle not to inhale fattening snacks).

Well done on your losses this week @lboogy, @MsTSwift @recklessgran and @Onesmallstep67!

Does anyone have a recommendation for a low-cal sweetener or syrup? I really hate the taste of stevia but am looking for something to sweeten some cocoa with. Bonus points for anything relatively natural even if it's more calories.

JessJonesJumps · 13/02/2020 22:42

I have eaten all of the food today. Ended up going out for dinner with DS. I never noticed before how high cal Wagamama is. I've had about 3 days worth of calories in one day. I might need to avoid the scales for the rest of the week.

SconNotScone · 13/02/2020 23:28

@JessJonesJumps that’s interesting about Wagamama, I am going there tomorrow with friends, and I looked at the menu earlier to try and be able to make the most sensible choice. But everything is so high in calories! I think the best I found was a ramen for 700-odd calories. My beloved chicken katsu curry is something like 1100!!! I know I will go for the ramen, and spend the whole time wishing I’d had the katsu!

I do hope you enjoyed your meal though, sometimes I think it is worth letting go and enjoying ourselves a bit. I have Wagamama tomorrow, a pub lunch on Saturday and a roast with friends on Sunday, so I feel like I do need to reel it in slightly, booo.

SconNotScone · 14/02/2020 07:12

Morning weigh-in done. I’ve lost 0.55kg (just slightly over 1lb) this week. I’m a little disappointed, because it still just keeps me in the 70kg/11st zone, but I can understand why it’s happened - two days of eating whatever I wanted, plus one less gym session (and shorter sessions this week). Still, a loss is a loss, and I only need to lose less than 1lb next week to have made it to a stone overall, and be down into the 10st zone!

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

cricketmum84 · 14/02/2020 07:26

1lb up this morning. Not sure how as I have been eating very little! Yesterday was a satsuma, a bag of hula hoop puffs, my leftover keema and broccoli rice then 2 stuffed mushrooms and salad. No other snacks or chocolate etc. Not impressed!

Today is a naughty day. It's mine and eldest DDS girls night in, Ive promised Chinese takeaway but will go for vegetables in a light sauce.
Plan is:
B - blood orange
L - quorn ham and salad in a small wholemeal roll
D - Chinese

Have a great Friday everyone!

ploughingthrough · 14/02/2020 08:33

I weighed in this morning at 67.7kg - 10 stone 9. My starting weight was 11 stone 12 so I am really pleased so far. It's starting to be worth it .
I'd been stuck a pound heavier than this for a while so glad to see a small shift. My original goal weight was 67 but now I am not too far away, I think I will keep going and attempt to get to 63. Pretty sure it'll take me ages but I'm going to keep at it for now.
