Right, this is it (after Christmas and new year...)

What have your experiences been with the Cambridge diet?

Currently around 13 stone ish (haven't weighed myself for ages... Living in denial) would like to get to 9 and a half stone ish. 5ft 4.

Is this going to be the one???

Thank you, I am hoping for a whoosh soon! Been on track this week and morning weigh ins are going in the right direction and keeping me motivated although I know they aren't always a good idea. Mind you, I'm not feeling the love for my bowl of Thai green noodles right now. Probably to do with the fact that my (slim and sporty) husband has just made himself a bacon sandwich and some crackers and cheese. Sigh. I'll force them down anyway as I don't want to be hungry but it feels like today is going to take some willpower!

Similar to Cambridge but I've decided to go with LighterLife, similar concept but I like the fact you go to a meeting with lots of people.

Always been a people person so I quite like having that support.

So far so good, the weight loss is quick and the meetings/weigh ins are free so thats been a nice change to SW x

I lost 1.5 stone (out of the 7 I needed to lose) then put on .5 over Christmas. I went back this week and properly did the plan, and lost 3.5 lbs last week. Despite going to an all day meeting and eating quite a lot of sandwiches. Good luck with it all, I am determined to stick to it until I go on holiday in June.

How is everyone doing?

LadyLightning · 01/02/2020 13:04

Hope you are all doing ok. I lost another pound this week on my Cambridge plan - with a weekend where I didnt follow it so pretty pleased. And very happy to be going in the right direction. Good luck to you all this week, dont beat yourself up if you have a slip, you can always get back on board, and for the poster who said she was disgusting and ugly - you arent either of those things, and your value is not linked to your pants size. We may want to lose weight because of health, clothes, etc, but you are still lovely you, whatever size pants you wear!

Another 4lb for me this week, that's 13lb in 4 weeks. I'm happy with that. Target was 4 stone but we'll see. It's so bloody expensive. I want to give it full 12 weeks and then review. I think my future has to be a low carb one so the next 8 weeks are going to be reinforcing the low carb habits enforced by 1:1.

@FleurNancy that’s brilliant. Totally agree that low carb (not no carb though!) is the way toward for me.
Another 1lb lost at Friday weigh in on Step 3 for me.
