New thread - new start

OP posts:
whoops · 29/06/2007 10:13

Ooops sorry totally forgot to post!
I put 3.5lb on this week but seem to have lost half a stone through being ill (if my scales are correct!) my total weight loss is 25lb, you somehow had lost me an extra 4lb! (I'm not complaining though!)
Am at work at the moment and feel like walking out one of my colleagues well I say colleagues she seems to paper shuffle and look busy a lot is really getting up my nose! but only a few hours til lunch time when I'm meeting a friend for lunch!
Thank God it's Friday is all I can say
After tomorrow I will have a different look too as I'm getting my hair restyled to go with my weight loss as I was bought vouchers for a salon for my

littlemisssensible · 29/06/2007 10:34

Well done JC,

{{{{Hugs}}}} WWB. I'm sorry I can't offer any constructive and useful advice .

TigerFeet · 29/06/2007 13:50

Well done MrsJC

WWB I know exactly where you are coming from about "still shovelling the stuff in" I could have written your posts myself

My starting weight is bang on 16st... 12lb lighter than at New Year but considering I have been on a diet for 6 months that's pretty poor

Shall we all stand in a circle and kick the arse of the person in front ???

WigWamBam · 29/06/2007 14:49

Now that is a good idea, Tiger

(Feels weird not calling you Cheesy ...)

I'm doing OK eating-wise today, but only because dd is ill and flaked out on the sofa rather than at school! Far easier to control myself when there's someone else here, and I can keep myself busy looking after her.

Right, we were forming a circle, weren't we ...

OP posts:
littlemisssensible · 29/06/2007 14:55

Can I join the circle to please!

I was feeling really proud to have gotten below 13 stone (Again)and was sure I'd stay there this time but its creeping back on!

I'm only afew lbs off being back over 13 (Again) so please let me join in the communal booting!

TigerFeet · 29/06/2007 14:56

who is standing in front of me then?

(wwb hope your dd is ok, not too poorly)

WigWamBam · 29/06/2007 15:06

She'll live ... headachey and pukey with a sore throat. And a lot of whining

It's probably divine retribution for the fact that she pretended to be ill yesterday because she didn't want to go to school (bit of a bullying thing going on, but we're dealing with it).

Well done MrsJC - you're a star.

WWB - would it be any help if I emailed you what I laughingly refer to as my spreadsheet from when Sue and I were doing the weights? It is in Excel, but is very basic, due to the fact that I'm pretty rubbish at Excel. But might fill in some gaps for you.

JackieNo · 29/06/2007 15:37

And WWB - hope your DD is feeling better soon.

WigWamBam · 29/06/2007 15:38

I haven't got Excel so couldn't read it, but thanks for the offer anyway!

Yep, it does sound rude, doesn't it

Look out, TigerFeet - SHE'S BEHIND YOU!!

MrsJohnCusack · 30/06/2007 07:06

blimey all these arses....coming over all faint here

I suspect this weeks weightloss was a cumulative one after a couple of weeks stuck at the same weight and I'm due to stick again. Am so hungry - DS v.hungry and it's cold and wet here, just the conditions that end up in biscuit/scone/muffin/cake feast.

BUT when DH gets a pizza on THursday nights, I have resisted for 4 weeks in a row - v.pleased with myself.

JackieNo · 30/06/2007 09:09

Good on you MrsJC - you've got more self-control than I'd manage.

littlemisssensible · 30/06/2007 16:01

Wow! Well done on the pizza front Mrs JC!

Kewcumber · 30/06/2007 16:03

can I join the circle please?

JackieNo · 30/06/2007 16:14

How's it going, Kew?

OUCH

I consider my arse duly kicked...

... lets see if it works

JackieNo · 02/07/2007 17:51

Oh blimey - bad start to the week - not food-wise, but DS woke up this morning with chicken pox - so DH stayed at home with him today, and I'm doing tomorrow - definitely a danger zone - me, at home, poorly DS - red alert for unhealthy eating. We do have some healthy snacks, but how long before I crack, I wonder?

WigWamBam · 02/07/2007 17:55

What about asking your dh to take all of the stuff you know you'll eat but shouldn't out of the house? Dh often goes to work loaded up with boxes of chocolates that we've been given as gifts, and leaves them by the coffee machine at work.

Hope your ds feels better soon. Have you got plenty of Piriton syrup and oats in the house? Both are good for the itching - stick the oats in the foot of a pair of tights and swish it around in the water when he has a bath ... several times a day, if need be.

OP posts:
JackieNo · 02/07/2007 18:01

Hmm - could ask DH to do that . But you know how devious I get. Will just have to try to eat good stuff as well as the bad stuff, might cushion the blow a bit.

Thanks for the advice re: oats - I do have plenty. And I sent DH out earlier to get piriton, bicarb and calamine. He's still pretty happy, but I suspect tomorrow and Wednesday will be worse.

WigWamBam · 02/07/2007 18:05

Yes, we found with dd it gets worse as it goes on. It gets quite miserable sometimes.

If you can get some calamine cream, or calamine and glycerine, it's better than the lotion, which can dry the skin and make the itching worse.
