New thread - new start

Imagination ... I used to have one of those once, too

OP posts:
JackieNo · 05/07/2007 12:09

Kew - so horrible for him, and for you too. Hope he can start to be able to eat and drink again soon, and get stronger quickly. You just want to make it all go away.

WigWamBam · 05/07/2007 12:52

Gentle reminder that, sick children notwithstanding, it's weigh-in day today ...

OP posts:
JackieNo · 05/07/2007 12:54

I hadn't forgotten, but I have a bad feeling about this...

WigWamBam · 05/07/2007 12:58

It'll be OK ... and if it's not we'll just have to do the proffered arse thing again until it is

OP posts:
MrsJohnCusack · 05/07/2007 13:04

oh poor DSs Jackie and Kewc. I hope they get better soon.
mine has been out of sorts too this week, think it's the start of blinkin TEETH damn them

I can't make head nor tail of my scales - they are all over the shop and totally unreliable - so think I'll have to buy some more. If they weigh me significantly more than the ones I've got I'm going to scream.

I think I'm more or less the same as last week - certainly not less -I'll make an effor this week not to stuff my face as well. It's SO COLD though, just the time when you want to eat lots of stodgy things. Also I'm about to make another attempt at potty training DD

JackieNo · 05/07/2007 13:08

Thanks WWB - I'll weigh in a bit.

MrsJC - sorry to hear about your poorly DS (presumably). And extremely good luck with the potty training for DD - as you know, I just ignored the issue with DS until he was long past 3, but I was only dealing with one set of nappies - I can quite understand that having 2 lots to cope with would drive you round the twist. Hope it all goes OK.

MrsJohnCusack · 05/07/2007 13:18

yes it's DS thank you Jackie
two days of screaming and so carrying him around in a sling etc.
furious DD as no attention for her
cue hysterical me convinced of utter shiteness as a parent

the usual really
MUST go to bed it's after midnight

good luck for weighing in everyone

JackieNo · 05/07/2007 13:21

Oh blimey - you must be knackered. Hope it improves soon - and THERE IS NO WAY THAT YOU'RE A BAD PARENT. Sleep well.

Kewcumber · 05/07/2007 13:23

or you are just as bad as the rest of us so you are in good compnay

Sorry there isn;t a chance I'll weigh in today, however think I will get out in teh morning and weigh so will be late but think I do need to weigh to focus my mind a bit.

JackieNo · 05/07/2007 15:25

Just weighed, and have put on half a pound. Ho hum. Must Try Harder.

JackieNo · 05/07/2007 15:25

(sorry - forgot)

WigWamBam · 05/07/2007 16:40

Jackie, I've spoken to dd and she would love to be your dd's pen friend ... is quite excited at the thought.

Will email you (poke me if I forget, though )

OP posts:
JackieNo · 05/07/2007 17:10

Excellent - I'll tell DD - she'll be really chuffed.

TigerFeet · 05/07/2007 20:23

All these poorly little ones

Have weighed, down 2lb to 15st 12

Today is my wedding anniversary so steak for tea and wine (and possibly some erm, exercise )later.

I got the gherkin reference Kewc

agalch · 06/07/2007 07:24

Morning all!!

Put on a pound and a half last night. All my own fault again.

My class leader gave me a form for Scottish Slimmer of the year and said i should enter.Might spur me on to get to target so am going to do it this week.Don't think i'll win but will give me a kick up the arse to try and at least half stick to the eating plan.

Ds1 away on hols with her gf and her family.Ds2 going to stay at my mums tonight.Girls asleep early hopefully and steak/wine etc.And like tigerfeet hopefully enough exersise afterwards to work some of it off.Not my anniversary tho, just the 1st time we will have had time alone(girls here but asleep obv) since Dd1 (who's nearly 3) was born. Will be great

Off to get ready to pick my mindee up,have a good day everyone.

ps hope all you with sick children are coping and getting through it (((hugs)))

JackieNo · 06/07/2007 07:42

Happy (belated) anniversary TigerFeet. Hope you had a fun evening.

And agalch - we could have another celebrity on the threads (this is in addition to 'City High Flier SJ/Kewcumber). Scottish Slimmer of the Year - how fab would that be.

agalch · 06/07/2007 10:46

Jackieno,i could never be up there with A whispers City High Flier like KC

Am sure SS looks for people with really significant weight losses, not average like me.But am entering anyway.

WigWamBam · 06/07/2007 11:31

Happy anniversary, TigerFeet - hope you had a lovely meal.

Good for you, Agalch, that must be so encouraging.

Anyone else have any more weights before I post them? KC?

OP posts:
WigWamBam · 06/07/2007 12:46

OK, time for the weights then.

Big fanfare for the BigMoFos' Big New Start

Agalch: +1.5lb (total 31lb)
JackieNo: +0.5 (total +0.5)
LMS: stayed the same (total 4.5lb)
MrsJC: stayed the same (total 7lb)
TigerFeet: -2lb (total 2lb)
Whoops: -8lb (total 33lb)
WWB: -4lb (total 4lb)

So here's a crown fit for the undisputed Queen of the Thread, and here are a couple of consolation prizes for me and TigerFeet for a good re-start.
