2019 is my year...

Or, should I say, my last year as an overweight blimp?

To be at the lower end of my ideal BMI weight, I have to lose HALF OF MY BODY WEIGHT!

This does not upset me.

It does not daunt me.

Eight stone is less than a stone a month for a year! Or 2.1lb a week.

I'm aiming for 1-2lb a week. I've made an excel spreadsheet, working out my TDEE, and aiming for 500-700 calories below it, per day. I've entered formulae in it, so it will change depending on my weight on that day.

I'll be utilizing MFP, but fucking off the "1200 calories" bollocks...I've actually set it up to "maintain my current weight" so it doesn't tell me off every day! 🤣

I'm also going to burn at least 200 calories a day doing things like walking, energetic house cleaning, etc. This will increase as my weight goes down, and my energy increases. Where I live, walking to the bus stop is more like a mile hike, as it's all uneven terrain and country lanes!

When I've lost the equivalent of two ankle-weights, I'm going to buy some- and wear them- so I'm still burning as many calories.

I've made a Pinterest board of clothes in my style, in a size 12. Also a list of "treats" for every time I hit 10lb loss.

And I'm going to order a full length mirror for the first time in a decade.

My TDEE is over 2000, because I'm 4'10, and a fatass! 🤣

I'll have to obviously tweak my "800 below TDEE" when I get lighter, as there's no way I'm going below 1200 calories a day. I like living, yano 😀💥

Aaaaand we're off!

SW: 15 stone 7lb.

GW1. 15st 5.5lb.

This may be a false starting weight, as I was sick yesterday...so my first Goal assumes that I'm still 16st.

I'll update in a little while with my food plan for the day when I've copied and pasted it from the other thread, as I'm too lazy to type it out twice

Some may find it unhealthy to skip breakfast...but meh! I can't actually justify forcing food down my throat just because it's "the norm" iyswim? I'll drink my usual pint of hazelnut milk, though.

Lunch: baked sweet potato, with a tbsp of vegan cream cheese, spinach and broccolli (308cal)

Dinner: v sausage stew thing with three sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms, jalepenos and shallots, and a portion of cauli rice (515cals)

Snacks: unsalted cashews as and when I need them. (400cals)

It seems wrong, somehow, to be taking in almost 1/3 of my calories by snacking...but I feel that this will work for me. I only really added them to get my calorie intake to an acceptable level! I could have added a packet of crisps, but I don't want empty calories.

Morning. Can I join the party
My starting weight is the same as yours @fridge.
I'm at 15st 7lbs and want to lose some serious lbs.
I'm going to cut right down on the fizzy drinks and move more. I like the food I eat. So we will see where we get to.
I am aiming for 10000 steps a day. My tdee is way up at 2642 calories a day, and once I've lowered my fizzy drink intake i will be eating and drinking no where near that. 😀
I'm going to weigh and do measurements on a Wednesday morning.

Oh...and I 'll on board with the 10000 steps...we can post them here, too, if you like!

My aim, for the first month only, is to burn 100-200 calories a day. I'll up this as I get fitter.

I also have an absolute shithole of a house. The kitchen floor is constantly muddy because of the Bastard Dog, and it's hella cluttered...

Vigorous cleaning can burn upwards of 300 calories!! You see where this is going, right?

Fuck it...I'm jumping on the Flylady bandwagon too!

So...another thing.

Atm, I live in Men's tees and leggings. I don't want to live in Men's tees and leggings any more!

It's going to take a while before I can buy the clothes I REALLY want to wear- a year, hopefully! 🤣 And I refuse to spend a load of money on clothes I'll be out of within a few months...

So I'm going on a Charity Shop hunt tomorrow!

Here's where you guys come in...

Dress me, please? I know fuck all about clothes! I want to start looking good, fat or not!

My body is up there **. Big norks, and (miraculously!) Still a bit of a waist! I'm also short.

Do you have a Primark nearby?
I use to buy a few fashionable outfits then donate them when I dropped a dress size. It made me feel good and was really motivating.

Right I braved the scales. Switched to lbs and i am 166....really 30lbs to lose to be at a good healthy weight. I'm short as well and that's my happy weight. 1200 cals is my target for the day.
I wouldn't worry Fridge about the breakfast thing or snacking. It's calorie deficit x 1000 that matters!!

I have loads of nice clothes I don't fit into. Not unrealistic 'when i was size 10 for 3 days in my 20s' but size 12s and my aim is to fit them. 1200 -1300 cals aim for 4 months when I will hopefully then be able to maintain.

Sounds good! I am realistic about scales...if they don't budge one week so be it! I know if ya stick to the cals it will shift the week after.
Tunic tops are good, lowish but not too low neckline, cardigans, leggings or jeggings. Comfort is key as well. I rotate the same 5 or 6 things at the moment

@fridge I'm not much over 5ft 😂😂 also I'm going to weigh on a Tuesday not Wednesday.
I've done my measurements and they are pretty disgusting 😭.
Hard-core housework sounds like a good idea.
I'm off on holiday in June so that's my first main goal, I want to be down to at least 13st by then, and then under 11st by Xmas 2019.

I really need to lose about 4 stone. Feeling very unwell and unfit at my current weight. I am starting to feel really down about my weight, due to my own making, and really need a kick up the backside to get motivated to start eating healthily. My MFP username is SailorGirl1234 and I am going to try and use it daily to record my progress.

Hello. I have around four stone to lose this year. I will weigh when I get up but I am around 14stone 7lbs and I am 5 ft 2. I'm a size 18 and losing 4 stone should make me a size 10/12.

I have a wedding and trip away in May so my interim goal is to lose 2.5 stone by then which should mean I can get into a size 14 dress I have bought but never actually worn!

I am going to use MFP and massively increase my exercise (I don't really do any atm). I'd love to weigh on tuesdays and join you all.

Is it ok if I jump aboard as well? Feeling very motivated with the new year and I've restarted low carb high fat--I need to lose 8 stone (BlushSad) to get to my pre-baby weight

I'm tired, ugly, fed up of my knees hurting all the time and I have a wardrobe full of clothes from size 12 to size 24, most of them that obviously don't fit!
