About two years ago I lost 3 stone, healthy eating and exercising. I kept it off for 6 months, then life got messy (elderly parents) and almost 2.5 stone has gone back on.
So annoyed with myself, so started being sensible again yesterday, last straw was having to but clothes in big size having got rid of them and nothing fits Sad
Accountability here helps, so starting point 13-6

Another good da

lavenderbongo · 27/07/2018 05:48

Sorry pressed wrong button!
Was going to say - another good day 😊 stuck within my calorie goal according to mfp. It really helps writing down what you eat and looking at the calories and fat content. Mayonnaise, cheese and bread are really high in calories! They’re all anoint favourite and most common foods!
16000 steps in awesome aurorie11. I might need to dig out my Fitbit as I’d be very interested to know what o do on a day!
Anyway I’m not brave enough to face the scales yet but I feel a lot better in myself this week.

lavenderbongo · 27/07/2018 05:50

Reading that back I clearly have very big thumbs and shouldn’t go on mumsnet via my phone!

Orange89 · 27/07/2018 08:33

Sounds like everyone’s doing well, 16,000 steps is pretty impressive! I bought women’s health mag yesterday and it has a free 2 week gym pass at ‘The Gym’ which could be useful if anyone lives near one of these gyms. I’ve stuck to my 1500 cals this week . Cheese bread and mayo (and chocolate) are my downfalls , have you seen the calories in mayo Shock I was always in denial until I decided to look the other day, I knew they were bad but not THAT bad! I was probably adding about 600cals to my dinners with it!!!

This weekend will be the test , I have a birthday Saturday but I plan to try and stay strong and worse case I’ll have to borrow my calories from next week!

Good luck for the weekend everyone Smile

HotStickyTired · 27/07/2018 09:27

My day tanked 😂 I got home from work to find my best friend had sent me chocolates (slightly melted!) and a bottle of champagne for my birthday...

CocoLoco87 · 27/07/2018 15:02

Well done everyone!! Don't worry HotStickyTired if you can't slip up on your birthday then when can you?! Flowers

I'm finding it a bit easier to eat less in the day as its so hot. But i am pretty starving by around 7pm

CocoLoco87 · 28/07/2018 07:23

Good luck over the weekend everyone! I usually over indulge on a Saturday by eating out for lunch or dinner and having cake and coffee etc. I will try and stick to what I've been doing the last 4 days CakeWineBiscuitCakeWineBiscuitConfused

aurorie11 · 28/07/2018 09:14

Had a long planned girlie weekend with my DD, her friend and her Mum. Did relatively well, almost 16000 steps again. Only had sandwich and piece of fruit as part of the picnic, did have ice lolly/ice cream it's was just too hot. Had two course dinner resisted chips and pud despite all the others had one. Did have small glass of wine and a G&t. So not great on food but loads better than I would have done a week ago

Thanks for starting this. Ive been dithering about for so
long. I have crept up to 11.5 and am aiming for 10st. Have tried Slimming World, Weight Watchers, low carb - you name it! This needs to be a life style change, so I am going to reduce bread, pasta and bingeing on biscuits. I too
am aiming for a
minimum of 10k steps per day. Good luck everyone!

CocoLoco87 · 29/07/2018 22:37

I am soooooooooooooooo hungry Sad CakeCakeCake
Sad this weekend has been hard

pontiouspilates · 29/07/2018 23:03

terrible food day - binged on rubbish and barely moved out of the house. Tomorrow is a new day. Sigh.

aurorie11 · 30/07/2018 06:38

End of week one, 4lbs down - 13.2
Considering I had 4 meals out this week and a bit of alcohol it’s pretty good. Just got to keep it going.
Good luck everyone

Excellent progress aurori! I'm inspired, Day 1 again today. I am going to keep a food diary and may even attempt a run this morning!

lavenderbongo · 30/07/2018 09:44

Weekends are tough! Mostly kept below 1500 calories each day over the weekend but will try to keep to 1200 each day this week.

pontiouspilates · 30/07/2018 10:10

Just finished my first run in 4 weeks! Not fast or far, but a start. Now I am
motivated to control
my bingeing!

CocoLoco87 · 30/07/2018 18:17

Well done @aurorie11!! Thats fantastic. Keep up the good work!

Orange89 · 30/07/2018 20:12

Down 4lbs from last week also which is good considering I definitely ate about 2000 cals a day from Friday - Sunday. Plan to make up for it by being a bit stricter this week, although I’ve eaten a fair bit of bread today so not the best start! Hope today has gone well for everyone else !

aurorie11 · 30/07/2018 20:51

Well done Orange, let’s hope for a good week this week too!

CocoLoco87 · 31/07/2018 07:49

Just got on the scales and I'm at 13st 4lbs so a 3lb loss for me. Getting back in the gym this morning! Shock

CocoLoco87 · 31/07/2018 07:50

And well done orange! 4lbs is amazing!!

aurorie11 · 01/08/2018 18:10

Last three days over 10000 steps every day.
Bit of a food blip yesterday had a packet of crisps, but stopped myself bingeing and on bright side no sugar

How are you all doing? Weekend weigh-in anyone?
Started: 13st 7lbs
Current: 13st 2lbs
Hoping to get to 6lb loss by Tuesday

andadietcoke · 04/08/2018 08:06

Can I join in too? I lost 5st after the DTs were born, and then due to an awful lot of comfort eating due to work shit put about 3 back on. Lost 1.5 over the last year and then stopped drinking in April and substituted booze for crap. So here I am again. Started back at SW on Tuesday at 14.9. Aiming for 11.10 initially as that was my target last time and I was happy with that when I got there.

Found it easy to stick to this time and know I just have to do it (I get a tad single minded about these things). Can't wait to throw exercise into the mix when I've got rid of a stubborn bronchitis type thing I've had for a couple of weeks.

Orange89 · 04/08/2018 08:27

Morning all and welcome andadietcoke

Am 12.5 now (started at 12.12) , I’ve been sensible during the week sticking to around 1500 cals a day but the weekends are hard as I always seem to have a lunch or dinner out, trying to make more sensible choices though especially when it comes to drinks as a lot of my calories were coming from liquid calories why is coke so addictive

Am going to join the gym Monday ! I haven’t been in 3 years so am dreading it but it has to be done. I know once I get into it I will be more focused on my diet too and find it all a lot easier.
