Chloe Madeley’s 4 Week Body Blitz

Hi,

I am considering buying Chloe Madeley’s book, it looks very good and isn’t a bad price at all on Amazon. However, I commute to work so was wondering what the recipes are like? Particularly for lunch and dinner. Are they the type of thing you can make and transport to work easily?

TIA! Xx

Yikes. Sorry about my typos!

MsGameandWatching · 21/02/2018 13:38

Can I ask what the work outs are like? I can't do many weights as I have osteoarthritis in my shoulders and neck. I run and walk loads though and am pretty fit in general.

HmmmHashtag · 21/02/2018 14:16

@MsGameandWatching not going to lie, I can't do her exercises, sadly, however I seem to respond better to weight based work outs, so I've been doing kettlebell HIIT type things instead.

HmmmHashtag · 21/02/2018 14:18

Oh just read properly and you struggle with weights... Her plan is based on body weight exercises with the option of adding in weights.
Why not try to contact her via Instagram? You never know she may respond with some advice??

Todayisanewday75 · 21/02/2018 14:58

There are no weights in the exercises, but an option to add them. It’s intervals, some high impact some low.

TwinkleStars15 · 21/02/2018 20:36

I seriously need someone to shout at me! Why can’t I do it?!!! I’ve had to restart it twice! The first week I failed on day three because we went out for a Valentines Day dinner (our first meal since having our beautiful baby girl) and this week I failed on day two for no apparent reason.

Please someone talk some sense into me....

I’m struggling to have time to make the food or do the exercise due to having a very mobile 8 month old, and as soon as I’ve had something not on the meal plan it all goes out the window. And it’s a vicious cycle because every time I fail I feel full of self loathing and feel like a failure. Argh! There really are no excuses though, I should be able to find 30 min to do the exercises but it just seems so bloody hard.

I put on 4st when pregnant because I ate like a horse and I really really want to lose the rest of this baby weight and get back to 9st 13lbs (my pre pregnancy weight). I’ve got just under 2st to go. Everyone else I know seems to have lost theirs already.

Please help me Sad

meshell83 · 21/02/2018 20:43

Hi I’m going to start her plan on Monday and wondered if those of you already doing it can help me please. In book it says each meal and snack to have 1 portion of protein, carbs and fats etc. but the recipes in the back seem to contradict this and have sometimes like 2.5 portions of fats, and it says serves 1 (for example first breakfast meal of Mexican scrambled eggs)? Can anyone help? Thanks

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 21/02/2018 20:59

Following.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 21/02/2018 21:04

I don’t get why you would follow a book of recipes written by a tv presenters daughter

Her partner is an international professional rugby player, which is about as relevant as your point. not relevant at all

My DSis has done it and seen great results.

meshell83 · 22/02/2018 08:33

Just because her parents are TV Presenters doesn’t mean she has to live off them and can’t make something of her life. It might help her to get her name out there easier than someone whose parents are unknown but doesn’t mean she’s any less qualified or has any less rights to follow her passion amd what she’s loves. We are all allowed to do that 😁!

fruitnfibre · 22/02/2018 10:02

@meshell83, I also think some of the recipes contradict the advice of ....1 portion of protein, fat and carbohydrate - if I followed that advice for the greek yoghurt bowl, I would have used 0% fat yog (protein) chocolate and nuts (fat) and add my everyday carb to the next meal - her recipe uses full fat yoghurt - all the foods for that meal are from the fats section ....shes the expert and obviously what she does works but it just confused me. as I am vegan Ive just decided its easier to make my own recipes using the everyday meal advise, my choices are limited but I vary my carbohydrates a lot and its only for 4 weeks.

meshell83 · 22/02/2018 10:50

@fruitnfibre I think I’m going to do the same, will use recipes as a guide to what I can make, but only make them up based on the portions stated rather than ingredients of the recipe. I’m excited to get going 😀

HmmmHashtag · 22/02/2018 20:39

@TwinkleStars15 I too have FAILED! I'm starting again tomorrow, but as if it was the Friday of week one, if that makes sense. So will low carb now til Monday.

imnottoofussed · 23/02/2018 10:59

What are the exercises like on this?

Todayisanewday75 · 25/02/2018 16:01

Anyone else starting tomorrow? I have eggs, smoked salmon, avocado and tomato ready for breakfast.

MunchkinJess · 25/02/2018 19:34

@Hobbes8 can I ask how you found the fitness blender program ?

I am doing the FB30 Round 2. I had my second child on 5th September and started the first program in November.

While I like the idea of the program and have just about managed to find the exercises in I really haven't dropped weight at all .

My eating is ok could be better but nothing horrific ! I was actually thinking of getting the 4 week blitz book to follow the eating guide.

I do like fitness blender but I find some of the workouts boring and a bit too easy and like I said I am now on round 2 and haven't noticed much difference at all . I would attack a pic of my before and after but not sure if it's allowed lol x

MunchkinJess · 25/02/2018 19:53

Ladies who have done the 4 week body blitz plan have you found the food expensive ?

I only shop at Aldi and Lidl so is it possible to follow the plan doing my shop from there ?

I can't afford an expensive plan that requires tons of ingredients if that makes sense etc . I prefer to try and batch cook stuff up even if I end up eating the same two days in a. Row lol

I have a 4 year old and a 5 month old with severe reflux so it has to be easy to follow time is not my friend x

Hobbes8 · 25/02/2018 21:34

Hi @MunchkinJess I'm impressed you were back to exercise 2 months after giving birth. I'm 4 years on and just getting back to it now!

I did FB Fit and I'm doing it for the second time now. I really enjoyed the first time, and definitely noticed the difference in my fitness levels and body shape, but I only had really small light weights, so I'm repeating it now with the 5kg dumbbells I got for Christmas.

I think I've really fallen down on the diet though. The first time I did it was the run up to Christmas so I was eating and drinking loads. I lost weight in the first 4 weeks but the closer I got to Christmas the more the losses stalled (although I did pretty well to maintain given the wine and crisp intake).

This time I've lost a little bit, but I definitely need to get stricter on the carbs. I'm starting this plan tomorrow and have cooked up a load of chicken stir fry and beef chilli so I'm ready to go.

Sounds like there's a few of us starting tomorrow - shall we track progress on here?

Hobbes8 · 26/02/2018 08:04

@MunchkinJess the food is actually pretty repetitive - the recipes have lots of chicken breast, broccoli, cauliflower, lean mince, avocado and salad. Other veg is also allowed but is pretty much up to you which type. I did a batch cook yesterday - fried a packet of mince, onion and tinned tomatoes and made half into chilli and half into spag bol (with courgette in place of the spag). Then grilled a packet of chicken and made some into salad and some into stir fry. Lunches and dinners on the plan are interchangeable, and then breakfast will be eggs, yoghurt, avocado, mushrooms...that sort of thing.

The only expensive ingredient that I wouldn't usually buy is whey powder, which she uses in some smoothies. I wasn't going to bother, so there's a couple of recipes I won't use.

If anything the food looks a little boring, but it's only four weeks. Day 1 meal 1 just eaten....I haven't caved so far!

MunchkinJess · 26/02/2018 08:30

@Hobbes8 we already eat quite a lot of chicken breast in this house Confused

And I already of diet whey as I normally have a protein shake for breakfast cuz I'm awful at eating breakfast lol

I am not loosing any weight at all so something has to change . It's clearly my diet so I'm hoping when I get the book and read the food part of the plan it will make a difference cuz I still have 5 weeks left of my fitness blender program to do and I bought round 3 also lol

My results are ok but the weight isn't shifting and the cms did go down at first but now I'm just staying
the same

TwinkleStars15 · 27/02/2018 10:58

Have any of you made the nut butter protein pancakes? It doesn’t seem to work, the mixture is really runny and doesn’t cook.....

Hobbes8 · 27/02/2018 13:58

I haven't made them but it does seem like a lot of milk.

Hobbes8 · 28/02/2018 17:47

Did anyone else start on Monday? I can have carbs tomorrow!

TwinkleStars15 · 01/03/2018 11:58

I did @Hobbs and have been looking forward to some carbs! I tried to make the proat banana pancakes for brekkie but again, they didn’t work. I was really disappointed.

Elvisola · 01/03/2018 12:24

Lots of people were struggling with proats and pancakes on Twitter so she did a video showing what to do. If you go back on her twitter account a couple of few you should find it.

The protein powder needs to be PhD diet whey as well.
