New week, new thread.

Haven't seen any Life on Mars so can't even agree with anyone on that

Someone said yesterday that it was Agalch's wedding today - hope she's had a wonderful day. Would love to see some of her photos on her profile.

I remember the Amanda threads ... wow, what an ending to the story! So pleased that everything's gone well for her, I know she's had a really rough ride over the past couple of years and it's good to hear some nice news.

JackieNo · 10/04/2007 20:03

It's a lovely story - I didn't know anything about her before the Christmas thread, but gathered from subsequent ones that she'd been through a lot. Nice to have a happy ending.

Glad you are back WWB,have missed you here.

JackieNo · 11/04/2007 23:16

Yay agalch - huge congratulations on being a Mrs. I'm so glad it all went well and you had a fab time. Here: have some virtual confetti .

Can't see any pictures on your profile, but I also have no idea how one does that, so can't advise, I'm afraid. I'd love to see some though...

many congrats Mrs agalch!

MrsJohnCusack · 11/04/2007 23:37

oops onlty one hand
bad typing

littlemisssensible · 12/04/2007 10:22

Congrat Mrs Agalch!!!!

Looking forward to pictures, it was quite easy if I remember correctly (though I do have an IT expert at home for when I have a blonde moment!!!!)

I've put that 1.5 lbs back on this week but I'm actually quite pleased with that! After all with AF visiting and all the chocolate etc I ate over the Easter weekend it could be sooooo much worse (and I'm still under the dreaded 13 stone.....just!)

littlemisssensible · 12/04/2007 11:16

Rude Words!

My front crown has just fallen out and I can't get it back in The dentist is on holiday until Monday so I'm gonna have to walk around looking like an old crone with a b@%@ gap at the front of my mouth!

OK....Lets be positive. It makes eating difficult so hopefully I'll lose loads of weight [wobbly smile(trying not to cry) emoticon]

suejonez · 12/04/2007 12:27

Oooh WWB!!!! welcome home! I lost this thread when I went away for Easter and frankly avoided looking for it since (for reasons about to become obvious) and while my back was turned you sneaked in.

I've put on 4lb - can we start again together WWB - I need some motivaton.

I don;t pay much attention to opinions I don;t agree with - if they don't agree with me then they don't count

suejonez · 12/04/2007 12:29

glad you had a lovely day Mrs Agalch - you won't get out of posting phots yo uknow - we'll nag until you do.

JackieNo · 12/04/2007 12:30

littlemisssensible - poor you. Will you have to exist on gruel, or bread and milk? Smoothies through a straw? Sounds like you've at least got the crown, and haven't swallowed it, which is I guess some relief, and less expensive!

OP posts:
suejonez · 12/04/2007 12:44

sorry LMS - I feel your pain - hate anything tooth related

littlemisssensible · 12/04/2007 12:51

Yep gruel only!!!!

I've got the crown but unfortunately the cost will still be high! My dentist warned me last time it got loose (which was just before Easter) that the tooth under the crown was begining to crumble and that if it came out again I'd have to have a bridge (Eeeeeeeek!) I've had problems with this tooth since I got hit in the mouth by a hockey stick at school but it's hung on in there for 30ish years so I guess its done well!

I feel really self conscious at the moment though as its one of the top front teeth....and I'm lisping everytime I open my mouth

WigWamBam · 12/04/2007 12:58

OK - I've done the weighing thing and I've gained a stone. So I'm not quite back up to where I started from but not far away!

Come on then, Sue - you and me will start again together this week. My motivation is the fact that I now feel that my weight is making me ill, and I don't want to feel ill. I want to walk at a good pace, without feeling as if I'm going to collapse at any minute. I want my knees to stop hurting. I want to stop feeling like an old lady all the time. I have been big all my life but I have never felt it quite so much as I do these days.

Agalch - so glad you had a lovely day. Come on, we want to see some photos!

LMS, does your dentist have an emergency number you can ring?

JackieNo · 12/04/2007 13:01

OOh - a bridge does sound rather expensive, littlemisssensible.

WWB - that's not as bad as you were fearing, is it? So take heart, and maybe we can all make a pledge to get out and walk a bit more - I know I need to (does going round the shops count - I hope so).

OP posts:
littlemisssensible · 12/04/2007 13:08

WWB, Lots of good supportive vibes for you and Sue coming from here! On wards and upwards I say...or maybe that should be downwards in our cases

No emergency number as such but I could go up to the local A&E dental Dept. It doesn't hurt though (nerve removed many moons ago) so it's only my vanity which requires it's immediete replacement I'm not sure that counts as an emergency!

WigWamBam · 12/04/2007 13:16

Of course shopping counts, Jackie Plus you can't eat while you're shopping so double whammy

I know how you feel, LMS; I have a bonded filling on one of my front teeth which falls out with alarming regularity, and I feel awful when it does. I hope you can get it sorted quickly.

JackieNo · 12/04/2007 13:22

I think you're forgetting the regular visits to Starbucks there, WWB. But you're right - you can't eat at the same time, but there are more snacks around for the snaffling, if (when) my willpower weakens.

OP posts:
WigWamBam · 12/04/2007 15:03

Ah ... you spotted the fatal flaw in my logic then

JackieNo · 12/04/2007 15:16

I did.

By the way, have weighed, and, in a stunning change to the last umpteen weeks (more or less) have ... stayed the same.

I'm happy to do the weights this week, or is it Sue's turn (we've been sharing, how sweet). Anyway - one of us will do them.

whoopsfallenoveragain · 12/04/2007 19:06

Hi everyone
can I come back and join you? I rejoined WW on Tuesday and 2 days in I'm still sticking to it! I even swam 50 lengths last night too!
I'm determined to shed the weight now

suejonez · 12/04/2007 19:27

You can join WWB and I as the "starters again" - though frankly jackieNo I think you should be in that group too [stern emoticon]

Its spring the new year really starts now and it should be easier to get out and about and get walking a bit more.

I ate my last bacon roll this morning (promise) and will get a bit more organised about haveing low cal sweet things for me to eat when I go shopping this weekend. Thats my new start.

whoopsfallenoveragain · 12/04/2007 19:32

Thanks Sue
Did you have to mention bacon sarnies? I'm drooling now. no I did enjoy my salad for lunch & ww curry for tea

suejonez · 12/04/2007 19:32

it ws really horrid - you wouldn;t have liked it.

whoopsfallenoveragain · 12/04/2007 19:33

Phew that's ok then!
although my colleagues were envious of my wonderful salad I took in!
