Diet starts tomorrow

Please join me and hold my hand.

I have two stone to lose and it is making me really miserable. I feel awful carrying this extra weight.

I have finally had enough and have decided to do something about it.

Tomorrow is the day!

My plan is to stop binge eating junk and just eat sensibly and to control my portion size.

I am 51 and 5'4.

Not sure of my exact weight but it will be around 11 stone. I will weigh myself in the morning when I shower and will post my starting weight.

Please please join me.

I am down 1lb this morning which is great, but a bit annoying too because I was down 2lbs before the weekend! Ooooooops!!

Well done Sky, that's brilliant.

I didn't have the best day yesterday after being good all week and a few naughty foods were consumed

I'm back on track though and worrying about weigh day tomorrow.

I hope that everyone else is doing ok.

Tea well done on your weight loss. Any loss is better than a gain.

I am tempted to weigh myself everyday but I have resisted and am waiting for weigh in tomorrow. My stomach doesn't look so bloated but I ate like a demon yesterday so I am annoyed with myself but I'm going to try harder.

Did better than usual over the weekend, ate out and had a few drinks but just about stayed within mfp limit! I've ran on Saturday, Sunday and today so that should help. Good luck for weigh day tomorrow everyone

Well done on your losses Sky and Teaping Grin I also weighed this morning by accident. 1.5lb down so got away with the drinks on Thursday. Got 2 meals out this week though as well but planning ahead for the one I have a menu for and the other is a buffet so aiming to swerve the carbs. Good luck to all who are weighing in tomorrow x

Been to the gym and signed up for 12 months. Had a good look around and was pleasantly surprised. Everyone was just doing their own thing. People of all ages, sizes and shapes so needn't have worried about being surrounded by perfect bodies. Will go tomorrow and swim after going on the toning tables. Will weigh in tomorrow and see what happens by next Tuesday.

Good on you for joining the gym user! I used to really enjoy it (and was never super skinny either), my favourite was a small local YMCA where I quickly got to know lots of people. I've started taking my DCs swimming as I realised that no-one cares about all my lard.....

Diet still not happening. I think I'm going to try WW Confused

Weigh Day

I've lost 2.5lbs.

I wasn't very good last night, I'm feeling depressed that I do this.

This dieting really isn't easy.

Weigh in today, 10st 0.5 pounds - I think that makes my loss 3.5 pounds!!!! Very pleased as I've still had the odd glass of wine and a pub meal on Friday! Hope you've all had a successful week

Tea you did well to stop at half a tub of Ben and Jerrys.

Ruby well done on taking the kids swimming, just embrace the lard and style it out.

Meals out is always going to be tricky, I suppose it's just a case of making better food choices but who wants to make a better choice when you are faced with a menu full of deliciousness, and then there is dessert.

Ah Cherry I can avoid dessert (unless Tarte au Citron which I adore) but not things like gratin potatoes or cheeseboards. I like fat and salt more than I like sugar. And wine Wine Blush I like wine but don't keep any in the house to swerve temptation!

Some brilliant losses on here. Go us ! And don't beat yourselves up about a slip last night. I think that catastrophic thinking is what stops me losing weight which is why this is a nice little thread... we are all doing our own thing so not lecturing each other about the evils of bread etc. 3 weeks till my holiday and if I can lose another few lb will be thrilled. User you are my new gym buddy! I went this morning. I book classes in advance to stop the internal 'can I be bothered?' debate. And if I have a week with no loss I can pretend I am gaining muscle Grin

Weighed myself this morn first thing and was pleased with 11 stone 4. Less than I thought but still quite heavy for five foot. I am trying to stick to 1200 calories.
At least I am doing something. I can't spend all that money and not see any results.

Went swimming last night with a friend. I am absolutely knackered this morning. After doing a length or two in my own doggy paddle style (trying not to get hair wet) I joined in an aqua aerobics class. I came out of the pool an hour later looking like I had been dragged from the sea.
Went straight to bed with tea and toast. I think I may have been in shock.

Any loss is better than no loss so well done Peace. Not weighing until Monday here. Had a good week I think and may have another alcohol free weekend. Going out tonight but might drive.

Sorry for the massive silence, we've been hit by a sickness bug chez Dog and I'm an emetphobe 😖

On the plus side I've found starvation to be a very effective diet aide. 10 pounds down and overhang has all but disappeared 😱

Hope you are feeling better Disreputable. Weigh in 2 at 11st 8lb so lost 1lb so better than nothing. Must up water intake and exercise but last week was so busy - looking round secondary schools took ages!

Hi all ... another 1.5lb off today so 3lb in total. It's been a massive effort though! Can't lose on anything over 1,000 calories a day, or 1200 if I exercise like mad. Got two very sociable weekends coming up with lots of meals and drinks so am hanging on by the skin of my teeth Shock. Cherry how are you ???

Well done Clarice! I had a tummy bug all week (DCs still have it Sad) and hence lost bugger all. How unfair! Then again, I was eating tons of toast as it was the only thing I could face...

3lb is amazing Peace Star I was doing ok with WW until falling off the wagon spectacularly this weekend - still, tomorrow is a new week and all that! Have looked up some No Count recipes which will hopefully help; I struggled to find snacks so NC cake sounds amazing Grin

How is everyone else doing?
