So fat I'm uncomfortable

So I'm 5'7 and weigh 16 stone 10.

Its become ridiculous. When I sit down I feel so uncomfortable with my tummy all rolling up, I feel like my insides have no space. I've been bigger than this but didn't feel like this. Anyone else ever feel like there's no space in their body? Mainly around my ribs. I think it's worse when my bras off.

Anywho, I feel stuck. I am struggling so hard to find motivation to shift this.

Hiw do you get motivated?
Relaxing on the sofa with some food is just my favourite thing to do, I'm struggling to find energy to want to do anything else..

Sorry for the rambling, not really sure what I want/expect reply wise. Just felt I needed to say it out loud, maybe it'll shame me into doing something..

500 calories is ridiculous, really. 10stone is my target weight.

I have found that eating closer to my calorie limit rather than trying to go below is more effective.

MrsSlocombesPussy · 17/03/2017 08:13

Do you mind if I join in too? Back in January I was at my heaviest at 15st 5lbs. (I'm 5ft 4) I've been doing the 5:2 diet since then and have lost 8 lbs.
Over the last couple of weeks I've been gaining and losing the same 2lbs, so I'm trying to so I've been walking a bit more.
I want to lose 5st in total, but I think my first target will be to get down to an 'overweight' weight on the BMI range.

TheoriginalLEM · 17/03/2017 15:08

hello puss! i can't imagine being able to manage the 5:2 diet. id start eating myself i think.

Am steadily going in the right direction and have lost about 1.5 stone since the end of January. i find its the exercise that works most but having to fit it in is a struggle

TheoriginalLEM · 17/03/2017 15:08

i am too aiming for "overweight" Blush

paddypants13 · 17/03/2017 19:43

Hello!

I've been feeling rotten the last few days, which has meant no exercise. On the plus side, I haven't been able to eat much at all. I'm badly dehydrated though so gulping water like it's going out of fashion.

KeepLookingUp · 17/03/2017 21:44

Hey everyone, are we doing a weigh in tomorrow? If we are I might need to get in a time machine and undo the damage I did yesterday with my g&t and crisps festBlush.
I did try my best today, went to gym, ate pretty healthily but according to my fitness pal I'm about 100 cals over my limit. I learned something useful though, I had a coffee in an M&S cafe today and got a small tub of mixed nuts to have as a snack. I checked MFP and they're about 400 cals! I literally stopped eating them half way down and mustered all my willpower not to keep eating. I think things like that have been my downfall before. Nibbling away at 'healthy' snacks without realising the calorie content.
Oh and LEM i am dying to know does 'bonked' mean you're knackered after exercise? In my saucy mind it means something v.different!

MelinaMercury · 18/03/2017 07:41

Morning all, i had a rubbish day yesterday and could've eaten the fridge on a sandwich if i was allowed but dusting myself and putting it behind me this morning!

I've a 30th party tonight so will be trying to have a light food day and maybe chuck in a 30 mins fitness blender workout as damage limitation...

Weighed in this morning and i was 15st 13.5lbs, so 3.5lbs down :o

Baileys0Clock · 18/03/2017 08:49

Weighing in at 9st 11lb this morning so 10lb down so far but me and DH are going out for a meal today, will try my best to choose something healthy and not go overboard

MelinaMercury · 18/03/2017 08:56

So that's 8lbs in a week? Shock That's a huge loss for someone so small!

Bailey's just enjoy your meal tonight and sod the healthy options if you fancy something else. You deserve it.

KeepLookingUp · 18/03/2017 09:09

Well I lost a grand total of 0.5 pounds. Better than nothing but made me honestly look again at what I'm eating and what I'm actually recording in MFP. Just as an example, yesterday I forgot to put down the bowl of lentil soup I had mid afternoon, also didn't count the slice of pizza I ate while clearing up kids' plates. So my new resolution for this week is to be more honest with myself, move more etc. Well done on the losses, I'm inspired to keep going.

Baileys0Clock · 18/03/2017 09:16

No sorry I started the Monday before last so 10lb over 2 weeks x
Only 3lb this week x

Baileys0Clock · 18/03/2017 09:22

Was 10st 7, lost 7lb in the first week, then I was stuck on 10st for five days but I'm finally down to 9st 11 so 3lb this week so far x

paddypants13 · 18/03/2017 14:31

Goodness, I've just weighed myself and I am 16 stone 11. Blush I am just over the threshold for very obese. To be a healthy weight I should be between 8 and nine stone. I need to loose half my body weight. Shock I knew my weight was out of control but this has shocked me.

On the plus side, I did an eight mile bike ride today. Smile

I think we need a team name.

MrsSlocombesPussy · 18/03/2017 15:49

Had a fast day yesterday and weighed myself this morning. Am now 14st 10lbs, so that's a 9lbs loss so far.
I've bought a Fitbit so am using that to try and motivate me to walk more.
Still have a BMI of 35 ish so a way off overweight

MelinaMercury · 18/03/2017 17:01

Well done everyone!

We decided to head off for a picnic lunch and a walk round the park and local heritage site so i'm sitting at 10,812 steps so far, was a lovely afternoon :)

Today's meals:
Greek yogurt, strawberries, honey
Tuna mayo salad wrap, satsuma, 2 Jaffa cakes
Spaghetti and meatballs

Bought myself some honey Jim Beam and diet (or slimline as Schweppes now call it Hmm ) lemonade for tonight... So. Um. Yeah... I'll report back tomorrow Grin

MelinaMercury · 18/03/2017 17:03

Good idea Paddy re team name!

Any suggestions? I'm thinking Flabulous fitties Wink

Blossomdeary · 18/03/2017 17:09

Hi sparkle - you are very brave to post those pics and I salute you. If you can do that, you can shift the weight I am sure. I wish you lots of luck in your endeavours.

GreyandGrumpy48 · 18/03/2017 17:51

Not had a good week but I have stayed the same do I suppose that's something. I am determined to change my ways this week and actually make some changes to how I'm eating

paddypants13 · 18/03/2017 18:57

I like Flabulous Fitties!

KeepLookingUp · 19/03/2017 21:09

Love the new name!
Well I bought myself a new sports bra that fits properly, and a nice new sports top. I was in denial for ages about trying to squeeze into too-small clothes and undies, so now have a 40dd sports bra and a size 16 top. Have the bra on now under my pyjamas so I have no excuses about avoiding early morning exercise. Really want to see the digits on the scales going down this week.
Hope everyone is doing ok.

sparklefarts · 20/03/2017 11:41

Hi all I'm so sorry for complete absence, I've been completely knocked sideways by a bad flu and am still in bed. Still, the brightside if I may have lost a Lb or two hopefully!

Baileys0Clock · 20/03/2017 11:58

Well I've done really crap this weekend, went for my meal with DH on sat afternoon, ordered fish and chips then stopped at McDonald's on the way home too Blush to make matters even worse I drank a lot of baileys when I got home. Fresh start today though!

Baileys0Clock · 20/03/2017 12:30

Get well soon sparkle Flowers

MedusaMomma · 20/03/2017 12:44

can I join you too...... im feeling so unmotivated at the moment. Im a tiny 5ft and I weigh 11.3 stones..... I had a pretty rough pregnancy which resulted in my tiny petite size 8 frame ballooning to my current state and I just feel like crap. I don't like going out anymore and refuse to buy new clothes. I got called fatty in the street last week and ive never feel so humiliated. My confidence is zero and my motivation is in the minus figures. I gave up sugar, counted calories, i walk where ever i need to go. i have an exercise bike, exercise dvds etc but lost one bloody pound in a fortnight. Im finding moving my body is a problem as its so heavy. not good at all.

BeyondThePage · 20/03/2017 12:53

ooooooo - I need to join too - 16 st 2 and 5'7... trouble is I'm 52 and find it hard to lose weight because of the menopause (as well as eating too much)

Don't know about anyone else, but I also worry a bit about flappy skin - I'm of that age where if I lose a lot of weight, to be honest, it is not going to look great. Sad
