So fat I'm uncomfortable

So I'm 5'7 and weigh 16 stone 10.

Its become ridiculous. When I sit down I feel so uncomfortable with my tummy all rolling up, I feel like my insides have no space. I've been bigger than this but didn't feel like this. Anyone else ever feel like there's no space in their body? Mainly around my ribs. I think it's worse when my bras off.

Anywho, I feel stuck. I am struggling so hard to find motivation to shift this.

Hiw do you get motivated?
Relaxing on the sofa with some food is just my favourite thing to do, I'm struggling to find energy to want to do anything else..

Sorry for the rambling, not really sure what I want/expect reply wise. Just felt I needed to say it out loud, maybe it'll shame me into doing something..

Does anyone know how to report and/or remove posts? I don't think i can do it on my phone. It's that stupid inch loss wrap one (the post not the phone).

paddypants13 · 12/03/2017 08:46

Reported keep.

Verticalvenetianblinds · 12/03/2017 08:47

reported too :) not having some spammer ruin this lovely supportive thread!

sparklefarts · 12/03/2017 09:00

I reported it this morning too.

If it were as easy as some stupid wraps I think there'd be no need for this thread haha

Wraps are good especially like the mission Delhi one, high carb low sugar. I had one with chilli last night.

Sticking to low GI has really calmed my appetite.

paddypants13 · 12/03/2017 11:27

Sounds lovely Dusty. Someone was trying to flog seaweed wraps to get rid of inches, hence the comments about wraps. They might work but they don't help your general fitness and health.

I am going to weigh myself later and report back. I'm going to start checking in with you guys if that's ok. If I really start slipping I need a virtual kick up the bum. x

Baileys0Clock · 12/03/2017 11:50

Can I join you? Grin I'm 5ft 1, started my diet Monday at 10st 7, I'm 10st 2 today, I know I should weigh once a week and not daily but I can't help it. I feel that if I see a loss on the scales it spurs me on to keep going and not give up, if I slip up and eat one thing that I shouldn't have then I think "bugger it" and fill my face Blush so I'm determined to stick to it this time cos I've failed so many times X

sexymuthafunker · 12/03/2017 13:04

I am bigger than I've ever been!
The thing is...
I eat really healthy food. Veg, fish, low carb mostly... but with working and DCs I find it really hard to build in time for exercise. I also like a glass of wine or 2 quite often & end up driving places I needn't just to fit all the drop offs, pick ups and work that needs to happen.

Am also quite bad at sleeping when stressed so get into that thing of eating too much when I'm 😴

So here's what I know what I need to do:

  1. don't drink in the week
  2. make time to do some exercise every day
  3. drive less
  4. get to bed early
  5. hopefully when the above is in place I will eat less as will have more energy.

That's the plan anyway!

It seems so simple & obvious when you look at it written down.

Good luck everyone! 🌈

Evening all, hows everyone's day been?

I was at work again from 7am-3pm and the day was spent chasing the kids I work with around a bloody castle and playpark so thank God for slow cookers or we'd have been getting a takeaway as I was nackered by the time I got home!

One small victory though, the kids decided we were having a picnic for lunch and chose lots of sandwiches, cakes, biscuits, crisps (and a banana each of course :o) but I managed to take an egg mayo sandwich and leave it at that!

Anyway today's menu:
B: Bran flakes, raisins, banana
L: Egg mayo sandwich
D: Beef olive, boiled potatoes, onion, carrot and sweetcorn
Snack: Apple slices with peanut butter

Steps: 10, 600

MelinaMercury · 12/03/2017 18:52

Bailey's and Sexymutha, your posts are very close to my situation too.

Im also terrible for making one slip up and jacking it all in but not anymore, I need to do step up for my health now!

And Sexymutha time and sleep are issues for me too! If in not at work im at college or trying to just have some family time, I was doing a 25 minute fitness blender workout (YouTube) every evening but soon got out of the habit but need to start fitting things in even once a week.

Im also terrible for staying up WAY too late (some nights in up until 2am writing essays) and I pick at crap (crisps) to keep me going so I've vowed to try and get a normal sleep routine back (well as normal as I can with a 4yo who has never slept through the night and a 10yo who gets up at 5.30am) so that I can stop binging.

KeepLookingUp · 12/03/2017 22:26

Hi all. I managed to do a bit of Davina workout this a.m then was fairly sensible food wise until late afternoon. I was facing a kind of stressful situation (my siblings bickering about elderly mum...long story) and snacked on grapes instead of biscuits that everyone else was having. Later on drive home I did have a packet of low cal crisps and a nut bar thing, not best choice but better than crap stuff. Had a lovely dinner of chicken, rice and salad but then had an ice lolly. So I know I could have done better but tomorrow is a new day (and easier to avoid rubbish when at work.) good luck all

sexymuthafunker · 12/03/2017 23:13

Tomorrow is a new week!
Starting afresh and feeling hopeful as the spring flowers are here 💐
Night all 😴

Baileys0Clock · 13/03/2017 06:50

Started last Monday at 10st 7 and am 10st today GrinGrin I don't think I look any different but am feeling so much better about myself, I was so close to ordering a take away last night cos I was so starving when the kids finally went to bed but so glad I didn't now!

TheoriginalLEM · 13/03/2017 07:16

please can i join?

Am 5'2" and weigh 14 stone just under. I did weigh 15st but have lost a stone on my diet.

Motivation was high bp and the realisation that im really really unhealthy.

I have an active job where im on my feet all day and alot of lifting. Im surprisingly strong for my size but fit? obviously not.

i find it hard to fit in exercise because i work 10 hour shifts and when inget home im shattered. Sometimes i force myself to run and manage 5k but i can barely breathe afterwards Hmm and look like a tomato.

i hate clothes shopping because clothes shop mirrors are so unforgivong.

i would like to be a size 14 rather than the size 20 top and 18 bottom that i am now. i want to go into a shop and buy the clothes i like rather than the odd size 20 thst might be available and might not even fit.

i am using my fitness pal and im quite impressed. Its very easy. i signed up for ww online and cancelled after three days. Calorie counting with half an eye on fat ans sugar content is straightforward and easy to understand. Points can fuck off, totally arbitary from what i can see and no i don't actually want to stuff my face with chocolate which is what ww seems to encourage.

With Mfp i may have calories left at the end of the day so i allow myself treats if i have them in the house. Much easier not to have them.

oh and its FREE!! Grin

have hit a bit of a wall though and can't seem to get below 14 stone and i am constantly hungry :(

Does anyone have recommendations for exercise that is relatively quick?

running takes over an hour fr my day and sometimes I can't spare it.

i don't drive so that does force me to walk most places and i enjoy walking but i think as i do it so much my body does recognise it as exercise if that makes sense.

Well done for taking the first step Op.

Im loathe to say this but you don't look that fat tbh bit look like you would benefit from toning exercises.

sparklefarts · 13/03/2017 09:05

morning all!!

Sorry v it absence yesterday. Well done sell, you're all doing g better than I didn't yesterday Blush

Welcome original! I know how you feel litres shopping. I'm a size 18 - 22 depending where u shop and fit etc. I haven't bought new clothes for so long as I avoid it.

So today I'm in a rush and am wanting some breakfast but I'm stuck on a bus Sigh. I've had a nak'd bar (so yum! If you've not tried them I fully recommend them!) might not be able to sit down and eat until lunch time so I'm going to have to be strong willed to not eat chocolate!

sparklefarts · 13/03/2017 09:05

Oh I have carrot sticks to snack on tho. And homemade soup for lunch.

MelinaMercury · 13/03/2017 11:24

Keeplookingup sound like a good day to me :)

Lem in another who just gates clothes shopping now, mainly because the things I like don't look great in my size!

Sparkle think how good you'll feel tonight knowing you managed to resist that wee bit of chocolate! Carrot sticks and soul sound good.

We're off swimming before nursery then having lunch at the pool so in thinking soup or a baked potato will be good. hoping I can resist their lovely chips...

sparklefarts · 13/03/2017 16:58

Thanks melina I was craving chocolate in the afternoon and snuck onto my phone to read this thread for motivation and I saw your post. It did the trick!

I shall go for. Long walk this evening as well

MelinaMercury · 13/03/2017 17:10

Well done Sparkle!

I had a bit of a wobbly moment this afternoon when a few friends invited me to Starbucks then offered a round of hot chocolate and/or cheese cake... I stuck with my tea and feel slightly pleased with myself :o

Had a baked potato, coronation chicken, coleslaw and salad after swimming too.

sparklefarts · 13/03/2017 17:35

OMG well done! There's no way I wouldn't have had the hot chocolate and cake! Go you!

MelinaMercury · 13/03/2017 21:15

We are most definitely kickin' ass today ladies and every day is a step toward a healthier us i guess which is an awesome thought!

I'm looking forward to fitting back into the clothes I bought after losing weight before I had to size up again, oh well it shall be like having a new summer wardrobe for free :o

MelinaMercury · 13/03/2017 21:18

Just a thought, does anyone else have a specific goal in mind?

Not so much weight related but an even or something just to feel good about themselves. I will (hopefully!) be graduating in September so I would love to be able to walk across the stage with about 500 pairs of eyes on me without worrying about how big i look or feeling like I have to hide in the photos.

That's my first bit of motivation :)

KeepLookingUp · 13/03/2017 21:50

Hi all sounds like everyone's in the 'zone'! I'm doing My Fitness pal too and I seem to have stayed within the limit for once. Sparkle the carrot sticks as a snack is a good idea, think I'll do that tomorrow as I am always grumpy in the afternoon and could do with a wee something to nibble on. I managed to fit in a 25 minute walk on my lunch break today so going to try and keep that habit up. Will try and get a proper sleep tonight as when I am tired I crave rubbishCake
Melina that's great you have motivation to look good for your grad. I am aiming to look nice in my swimsuit on our first 'family' sun holiday in first week of August, yikes!

MelinaMercury · 13/03/2017 21:58

Ooh that's exciting KeepLookingUp, it's good to have something in mind to keep us looking forward :) Walking sounds like a good habit!

Right, I am also off to bed. College tomorrow morning and CBA but I'll be fine once I'm up.

Todays food was:
Bran flakes, grapes and almonds
Baked potato, coronation chicken, salad and coleslaw
Lasagna and salad
