Hello acat and welcome.

Mothersruin75 · 15/06/2016 07:23

Hello acat! Sounds like a good day - especially with a glass of wine.

I did better than I thought - 2lb down this week. I mustn't have pinched as many of DD's Percy pigs as I thought.

Tonight's Hairy Dieters tea is the quick cod and prawn gratin. I'll let you know if it's any good.

MrsPear · 15/06/2016 10:02

Hello all. What a two weeks! First week was at half term and a stay at my mums. My mum would never be supportive of me being on a diet as she is larger than me and so therefore i am too skinny. Yeah ok. Despite this I maintained. Then last Wednesday I had key hole. Nothing major - sterilisation. So no exercise and plenty of rest with no counting. However I am 10st 4 so that is pound. I am going to start counting again this week as despite bloating I feel much more normal now. Gentle exercise only no weights as I am nervous of lifting any thing too heavy! Also the American medical sites seem to be much cautious over recovery than the English! I am having to go online as I couldn't get any straight answers on post operative dos and don'ts from the team.

MrsPear · 15/06/2016 10:04

And I love the hairy dieters book - Spanish style chicken is a family favourite.

BitOutOfPractice · 15/06/2016 14:03

I wish you a full and speedy recovery MrsPear. Please don't overdo it and set yourself back Thanks

Well done mothersruin

Can I join you please? I m 5'8" and about 12 stone. Would love to lose around a stone or a bit more. I have MFP on my phone and will start logging tomorrow. I am also cutting out alcohol completely for as long as possible, but aiming for 6 weeks as a minimum. I'm off to a class at the gym tonight and another on Saturday morning. Other than that I will be doing more walking with DD in the pushchair instead of hiding from the weather indoors.

MsColouring · 15/06/2016 22:59

Welcome acat and lady.

Having a pretty stressful week but managing not to comfort eat so I'll take that as a win.

acatcalledjohn · 16/06/2016 07:58

Thanks all! Had a little wobble last night after some not so good news (boy cat tested positive for feline AIDS Sad - it made me want to scoff chocolate), but luckily I'd been good all day and didn't exceed 1600 cals, so am still on track.

Today is a 500 cal day. I have Sainsbury's melt in the middle fish cakes, salad, and will add some carbs for DP as he saves all his cals for the evening, whereas I use up to 150 in the day.

BitOutOfPractice · 16/06/2016 09:02

It's my birthday today so MFP can do one today! Grin

Mothersruin75 · 16/06/2016 21:41

Happy Birthday Bit! Hope you've enjoyed your day.

BitOutOfPractice · 17/06/2016 03:32

I had a lovely day thank you. And I got a Fitbit!

MustBeThin · 17/06/2016 08:58

I'm back. Got on the scales this morning and I'm 11st 6, I was 11st 4 on the morning I went away plus I had a Chinese last night as I had no food in. I don't think that's too bad, I have taken my pill straight through as well and haven't been drinking enough so hopefully 1lb of that might be bloat that's gone quickly.

acatcalledjohn · 17/06/2016 14:08

Excellent present! You'll be hooked before you know it! (I have a fitbug and it's great!)

I weighed in at 12st 8.4lbs this morning, which is 2lbs down on last Friday. Have one of those fancy scales that measure body fat through feet and that's gone down too.

Just need to do my measurements as I feel they will have changed. A normally clingy top doesn't feel quite as clingy today...

MustBeThin · 18/06/2016 08:57

Well done Cat

I'm super happy this morning, scales showing 11st 4 so down 2lbs from yesterday which means I haven't gained while not using MFP on holiday for 10 days, it was just bloat. Grin Grin back on MFP tracking today.

Sugarandsalt · 18/06/2016 10:22

Weighed in this morning at 12stone 8.5lbs. So that's put me finally at a BMI under 30! I'm delighted, after having a plateau for a few weeks! So just under 2 stone to go to BMI under 25 now!

acatcalledjohn · 18/06/2016 11:13

Excellent result, both of you! I ate too much yesterday, but it has had no impact on the scales this morning, so that's a relief!

MustBeThin · 19/06/2016 10:01

Well done Sugar and Cat

Scales are showing 11st 3 this morning Grin I'm soooo bloody happy. I can't believe I haven't gained on holiday.

acatcalledjohn · 19/06/2016 11:00

How tall are you, Must? Your weight is my ultimate goal weight!

Yeah, holiday is what I'm worried about...

MustBeThin · 19/06/2016 12:17

I'm 5ft 5 and weighed 13st 7 on 4th January. Grin I lost the first stone in about 6-7 weeks then after I hit the stone and a half mark the weigh loss slowed down. I can now go over 2 weeks without losing anything and then lose between 2-4lb in a week. Hmm bit odd but I'm used to it now.
I was pretty worried about holiday gain but I think it helped that I probably ate way more protein than carbs on holiday, when I'm at home I definitely eat more carbs.

acatcalledjohn · 19/06/2016 12:32

2st4lbs in 6 months is amazing! Really well done!

MustBeThin · 19/06/2016 12:54

Thanks Grin I didn't think I'd even be able to lose 7lbs so I'm really happy. I'm usually rubbish at dieting and give up after a week. Blush doesn't even feel like a diet now.

MsColouring · 19/06/2016 17:27

Was a friend's hen do yesterday - I have tried to log my food and drink and was well over my calories as expected. This morning I had a cooked breakfast to help soak up the alcohol - left a hash brown that was dripping with fat and the toast and butter. Had a long run this afternoon to try and even things out!

Going to have to calorie count on the 'survive on what's in the cupboard' diet for the rest of the month as things are a bit tight.

Sugarandsalt · 19/06/2016 19:20

Colouring hope you had a lovely weekend. I went out with a friend and ate and drank too much, so hoping to burn it off over the next week. What's in your cupboard, we might come up with some recipes?!
