Hi slap, feel free to post your experiences here, good and bad.

fatty, sympathetic pat on shoulder from me (don't do hugs Grin.

fly, you're right, even a small monthly loss adds up and by Christmas will see an appreciable difference in how we look, but more importantly how we feel.

Today, a birthday for a colleague, and home made lemon drizzle cake! Of which I had a very small piece, enjoying every bit. Yesterday had a wobble when I felt I needed some chocolate. I wasn't hungry so I knew it was because my mood was low at the time. I got through it with the help of the MNers on the fb page.

SlapACatFuckADuck · 09/02/2016 16:17

Weighing in tomorrow at SW my scales are showing an increase but I don't see how I could of lost 3 (my scales) then gained it all back plus 1 in under 2 days!

Been alright so far, orange for breakfast, ham salad for lunch

FattyNinjaOwl · 09/02/2016 18:18

So...I bought new scales...they have me 9lb heavier than my old ones!
The consensus on fb is too weigh on the wii to get a third opinion Grin then go for the average.

SlapACatFuckADuck · 09/02/2016 19:21

Oh I don't have the wii. I'll have to wait till tomorrow :( fingers crossed!

Am I allowed to join the Facebook group??

FattyNinjaOwl · 09/02/2016 19:26

Will contact admin for you, I can't do it. It's set to secret so can't be searched.

FattyNinjaOwl · 09/02/2016 19:35

The group will be searchable in a sec. It's 2016 mumsnet losers. Hurry before they change it back to secret!

SlapACatFuckADuck · 09/02/2016 20:59

I missed it sorry

FattyNinjaOwl · 09/02/2016 21:33

Will try again tomorrow.
I've just been on the wii. That has me at 15 and a half, so if I'm 14st 5 on one set, 15 on another and 15st on another, then 15 and a half on the wii...

What the fuck do I weigh?

FattyNinjaOwl · 09/02/2016 21:36

Argh! That should be
Set 1: 14st 5
Set 2: 15st
Wii: 15 and a half stone.

SleepIsForTheWeakAnyway · 09/02/2016 21:49

My scales are soul crushing weird. According to them I weigh 5lbs more in the bathroom then I do in the hall outside the bathroom door Hmm

FattyNinjaOwl · 09/02/2016 22:06

I have no idea what weight is right Confused
I've got it as the lowest in mfp...but think I will still aim for 5 stone off regardless, then I'm within healthy bmi and hopefully back in a size 10.
It's horrible to see that on the wii though. Especially knowing I've lost over a stone!

ToeTouching · 09/02/2016 22:15

Are you putting the scales on a flat hard surface? Carpet and/or springy floorboards will skew the numbers.

I went out for my Indian meal last night and rather than being able to choose my own from the menu a selection of dishes was brought out - all of them cream based! I just took a few spoonfuls with some rice and a triangle of naan, did a best guess on MFP and started again today sticking exactly to the plan.

I've bought a Fitbit charge HR and am loving the data it's showing me, including how well I sleep and how much time I spent in cardio during this evenings walk.

Welcome to the new joiners and keep going everyone. I'm thinking about booking a holiday and the last thing I want to do is get to the summer regretting I hadn't shifted at least another 2 stones, so like PPs I'm taking this half a stone at a time to avoid being overwhelmed at the scale of the task ahead.

JaneHair · 09/02/2016 22:20

If LM from the Facebook group is reading this, shame on you for your nasty post on there. And no, I'm not the person you slagged off - just a new person to the group who agrees with the others that you're a massive cunt.

SlapACatFuckADuck · 10/02/2016 10:20

Can I pm you my Facebook so you can message me when you do it? I keep missing you haha sorry!

FattyNinjaOwl · 10/02/2016 10:23

If you pm me I can add you as a friend then should be able to add you to the group myself. Then you can delete me

FemaleDilbert · 10/02/2016 13:00

Sneaky weigh in, 8lbs down from beginning of Jan. Slow but steady progress. Managing to keep cravings at bay by allowing reasonably generous 1700 cals a day as long as I maintain my exercise 'regime' of cycling 50k a week.

Only 7 more lbs and I'll merely be 'overweight' rather than 'obese' Grin

SlapACatFuckADuck · 10/02/2016 14:21

So lost 3.5lbs since last week!! Not a lot In the 91lbs go go but happy with it!!

Clearskies99 · 12/02/2016 15:19

Hi all!

Welcome to new comers, let's keep this going together, the online support is really helpful in my experience.

Definitely agree with all those saying we have to stick with it, cope with the inevitable slip ups and stallings. That's the key, isn't it, not giving up on our longer term goals if we have a lapse.

Yes fly small tagets are useful. I'm nearly at a milestone of 1st stone lost. Going slower than some on here but I guess we each find what works for us.

The two, small scale lapses I 've had since january 4th haven't escalated BUT both times I have panicked that I'm about to give up totally because that has been my experience in the recent past. So it's taking time for me to believe that this time really is different.

That sounds very frustrasting, fattyninja having no idea what scales reading is accurate. The old fashioned tape measure has its uses, it doesn't care what surface we're standing on! Smile

limetimemummy · 12/02/2016 17:48

Hi everyone.. Old/new helloooo there
I'm still here just remarkably absent from MN recently but still going with the healthy eating. Just over a stone down since 4th Jan and definitely feeling that my jeans and trousers are looser.

I've really been concentrating on how much sugar I'm eating and trying to cook everything fresh.. Mfp tells me that my daily average sugar is less than 20g per day over the past few weeks which is a major achievement given that a couple of choc bars and processed/fast food used to be my norm!
Anyway, had a slice of bakewell tart at lunch with friends today - woah.. I didn't half feel it (although it tasted yummy!!) and then went incredibly sleepy at about 3pm. All in my head? Quite possibly Smile but one could argue that the sugar crash hit!! Hope that you have a great weekend, I've another meal out to get through tomorrow before I stand up to be counted on the scales Monday morning
Just think - we are already 1/12 of the way through the year. We just have to repeat what we have done in January 11 more times and hey presto - sexy dresses all round at Christmas!

FattyNinjaOwl · 13/02/2016 17:01

Well my Wii decided I lost 10lb in 2 days Hmm

JemimaMuddledUp · 14/02/2016 12:01

limetimemummy I'm eating a lot less sugar and empty carbs and I find that if I do eat cake or a sandwich on white bread I feel really bloated afterwards. I'm also finding my sweet tooth has pretty much gone and so a lot of cakes taste too sweet now. Just trying to remember this as when I see cake my brain still thinks I'm going to enjoy it.

calzone · 14/02/2016 18:50

Marking my place

ToeTouching · 15/02/2016 07:44

jemima I get what you mean about losing your sweet tooth. DD2 made some giant cookies yesterday and as I had quite a few calories left I thought I'd treat myself to one. Could only manage half though. It just tasted of fat and sugar. Just a month and a half ago I'd have devoured 2 without blinking (they are 300+ calories each).

It's paying off though - another 2.5lbs off this week so that's 18lbs in 6 weeks.

Hope the numbers are looking good for all of you this week.

Clearskies99 · 15/02/2016 08:48

Well done Toe.

1lb off in week, back to same today, but when that's happened before I usually go back down to the lower weight in next day or so hoping that's the case this time. Another inch off waist area so one day I may have a waist again Grin

Know I need to eat a bit less to get losing more consistently every week.

But am into a good routine of lots of walking every day and a couple of swims a week and feel so much better for it Smile. Getting extra walks by walking into town when before I would have driven.

Your weighing devices must be driving you mad FNO!

Sugar and wheat make my energy levels plummet Lime. The more I stay off both the better I tend to feel.

stopfaffing · 16/02/2016 07:17

Scales worked this morning so 5lb off, 24lb altogether since 4th January.

I have not done any Cto5K or walking for a week since tripping and hurting my ribs, am taking things slowly and trying to heal. Sleeping sitting up on recliner helps, although wakeful Hmm. Can't wait to be sleeping back in my own bed again.

Got a romantic weekend away booked for next weekend but can't see any "romance" going on if I still feel like this Sad. Ah well, it is just a wee blip and I'll be back to normal hopefully in a couple of weeks, and back on the Cto5K again.

It is definitely good to be able to eat less sugary stuff, I am not missing it at the moment but do occasionally have a craving for it. Usually not because I am feeling hungry, either.
