Congratulations everyone! And a marvellous job of WWB-emulating there by Sue.

Here's a stone for Fauve .

scarysuejonez · 26/10/2006 14:06

thanks lemony - only have an hour between trips to the embassy so no time to even wiegh never mind source stones - and Fauve has waited a while for hers so she deserves it!

scarysuejonez · 26/10/2006 14:42

Well done Lemonaiiii, and to Fauve too.

scarysuejonez · 26/10/2006 19:07

I'm definitely flying Tuesday, still no matter - I have my visa now and pick up tickets tomorrow

Fauve · 26/10/2006 19:56

Congratulations, Lemonaiiee, and thank you very much for my lovely stone. Much nicer than the one I lost.

I also like the array of emoticons. Could you crochet them into a shawl for me? Would be very pretty.

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 26/10/2006 21:55

Glad it's all finally settled, sue. Time for a few more visits to Starbucks.

Yayyyyyyyy Sue! Another reason to think this week has been brilliant!

Dottydot · 27/10/2006 12:27

Fantastic Sue - a proper, actual date - wonderful!!!

Meanwhile I'm dead chuffed because I'm now only officially overweight and not obese!!! Lost 2lbs this week and it brings my BMI down to 29.6 .

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 27/10/2006 12:29

Well done you, Dottydot. That's a fab achievement.

NothingButAttitudeOnMN · 27/10/2006 15:32

Sorry I forgot to e-mail, I have put on again another 2lb I just can't get to grips with it.

God giving up smoking was so much easier than this (gave up in January not touched one since) why the hell can I not just cut down my food a little.

lemonAIIEEE · 27/10/2006 15:56

Go Dotty! Here's a fanfare for you!

That's another nice interim target to aim for -- just worked it out and I have another 5.5 pounds to lose to become overweight. Right... [rolls up metaphorical sleeves]

lemonAIIEEE · 27/10/2006 15:57

Sorry you've had a bad week, NothingBut (umm... who are you?)

justamindlesszombiemum · 27/10/2006 17:53

Well done dottydot, I bet that feels great doesn't it. I was briefly only overweight just after dd was born, but not any more.
Today is my last day of being a fulltime mum. I go back to work on Monday! I have very mixed feelings about it, half of me is quite looking forward to it, but I am nervous about leaving the babies at nursery. I think dd wil be ok but ds seems to be feeling it hard and he has only been for two trial sessions. I think he is scared of losing me again as I used to work more or less full time. I think that it may work out better, he is ready for the structure of nursery and I think I will be better for a bit of space away from them (that sounds awful). I am only doing 3 days a week and aim to make my days off mostly about the children and not about housework if that is possible!
I'm so glad you are finally going Sue, the last few months have been so stop and start for you, I bet you won't relax until you finally get on that plane. We will all be thinking of you and can't wait until you are safely back with jonezJr.
Must go, I am going to a halloween party and I have to find myself a banshee costume in the next 40minutes!

justamindlesszombiemum · 27/10/2006 17:55

nothing but attitude- are you www? if not, just ignore me!

Dottydot · 27/10/2006 20:41

Thanks for my fanfare!!! I'm a real target girl too - always need something to aim for - next stop = the 2 stone mark (3lbs to go...).

JAMZM - good luck for going back to work - it brings it all back for me - I spent most of August 2004 crying because I had to go back full-time in the September when ds2 was only 5 months old. 3 days a week sounds like a really good balance - hope it goes well!

littlemisssensible · 28/10/2006 10:10

Well done Dottodot, thats brilliant!
Good Luck with the return to work ZombieMum, and no it doesn't sound awful to say that you need a bit of space! I love my dc very much but found being at home all day when they were babies very, very hard. A few days a week at work to recharge my batteries and get the brain occupied with different problems and I became much better at being a mum IYSWIM!

scarysuejonez · 28/10/2006 10:15

I'm dreading returning to work and I don't even have a child yet!

OP posts:
Dottydot · 28/10/2006 10:34

Sue - how long have you got off?

scarysuejonez · 28/10/2006 10:38

no where near long enough, can't afford it. Go back part time February but am hoping to agree 2 days plus one day from home, then four days a week from March. I'll just have to see how it goes I suppose. Bear in mind that I will be with Junior from beginning of November so that 4 months and a bit counting the part-time. I don;t get paid a penny until I return to UK then on the statutory £100pw (no 90% enhanced like maternity)

OP posts:
Dottydot · 28/10/2006 10:53

Blimey - you're doing well then to be able to have 4 months off if it's not paid - such a shame you don't get anything - it's wrong. At least it's kind of like the minimum length mat. leave (in the NHS anyway) - I had 18 weeks - paid, but then had to go back after that. And Christmas at home with your baby will be wonderful!

WigWamBam · 28/10/2006 19:42

Dh is wondering why I'm doing happy jiggy dancing all round the house ... fantastic news, Sue! At last something's moving for you.

scarysuejonez · 28/10/2006 21:42

Yup my waters have broken WWB. and only 6 weeks overdue!

Nice holiday?
