NothingButAttitudeOnMN · 30/10/2006 15:02

Sorry for those that asked at the begining of the thread I am aka flutterbee, I meant to change my name before posting on here so that I didn't comfuse people but I forgot sorry. WWB I didn't e-mail last week I put another 2lb on

Sue even though I haven't been around much of late I keep thinking about you and popping onto your fab site (also in my faves) I am so happy for you. You really are going to have the most exhausting yet fab Christmas.

GOOD LUCK XXXXXXX

justamindlesszombiemum · 30/10/2006 15:19

I am on mumsnet at work!!! hee hee. After an awful pre 8.30am morning in which ds woke at 4.45 and both of us were hysterical at 7.30 everything has gone true to form. Poor DD (as usual) barely got a look in this morning with her brothers histrionics but when I phoned nursery at 11, they were both fine. My manager has just left early for a drs appt and I am officially in charge of the dept! great, I can't remember a thing, February seems so long ago and files that meant so much back then mean nothing now.
Coppertop, thanks, Its lovely to know someone was thinking of me
Sue, I hope your protracted labour goes ok and you are safely delivered as soon as possible! Mrs JC, I spent both my pregnancies insisting I didn't want to know the sex but if dh had left the room I would have asked straight away. Its lovely to have one of each anyway!

Littlefish · 30/10/2006 19:16

Just had to pop in and say good luck to SJ. I'm thinking of you, and can't wait to hear news of your darling junior.

Good luck with your endoscopy dottydot - hope it goes well.

Mrs JC - how lovely, a boy! What a perfect family you'll have.

Glad to have you back WWB - we missed you.

Hello to everyone else! Well done on your losses last week, and good luck for this week.

I'm gradually feeling a bit more like normal after the dreadful child protection course and all the ensuing emotions. No counsellor for 3 weeks now because of various other committments, so I wonder how I'll feel when I see her again. So far, so good.

justamindlesszombiemum · 31/10/2006 12:12

what time does Sue fly? I keep thinking about her. Good luck SJ
Dottydot, how are you doing? i hope everything goes ok for you tomorrow.
Littlefish, glad to hear you are feeling a bit brighter, that kind of thing can really drag you down, my mum had to do one of those child protection courses and it really upset her too.
Its a big week for a lot of people on here, I'm on my second day and I'm still waiting for someone to tell me what to do as my job role has completly changed, and the whole site has gone cashless so you can't even get a bag of crisps without a special card you have to put money on. I'm trying to resist and go without but it is hard!

Dottydot · 31/10/2006 15:56

I've been thinking about Sue today as well - fingers crossed for lovely news soon.

I'm being outrageous and using being nervous about tomorrow as an excuse to eat EVERYTHING... Am sooooo going to regret it when I get weighed next week. Sigh. Endoscopy is at 2.15pm tomorrow - worst thing is I can't eat after 8am!!

Fauve · 01/11/2006 07:45

Best of luck today, Dottydot. We may be getting our ds tested for coeliac soon, he's being monitored atm (my dh is coeliac). Can probably lob you some healthy recipes at some point, if you like - although I'm not very exemplary in terms of gluten free baking - I just cook stuff with no flour of any kind in it, eg rice dishes etc. Mind you, I'm convinced that my constant preoccupation with food - "What shall I cook for ds/dd/dh?" - plus reading recipe books/features is really a hindrance in weight loss terms. Maybe I should just say "Let them eat cake"...

Amazingly I seem to have lost another pound this week, hooray! That's in spite of various Halloweeny goodies creeping out of their packets and infiltrating my digestive system - unbeknownst to me, natch.

Thinking of you, SJ

WigWamBam · 01/11/2006 12:42

I'll be thinking of you this afternoon, Dotty - must be a worrying time for you.

Sue has been on my mind for the last couple of days, I really hope that everything runs smoothly for her now. Can't wait for her updates about Junior!

lemonaidtreasonandplot · 01/11/2006 15:06

Must keep off the other threads... clicked onto one to read "Currently weighing in at 149 lbs and wld like to be 135...long way to go!" and thought (hollowly) hahahahahaha.

Stayed the same this week, pish tush.

justamindlesszombiemum · 01/11/2006 15:58

lemonaidtreasonandplot- great name!!!

coppertop · 01/11/2006 15:58

I weighed myself this morning and was surprised to find that despite a fair bit of cheating along the way (mainly chocolate biscuits ) I am still exactly the same weight as I was a few weeks ago so no change here.

WWB - That's brilliant news about WK. I shall now imagine her wandering around the university with an eye out for the "norty young mayaaaaaans". Is mini-WK really 3 already??? Where did the time go?

at justamum sneaking on to MN on her first day back. Start as you mean to go on, eh?

Dottydot - I hope it all went well today.

I keep wondering how Sue is too.

JackieNo · 01/11/2006 16:09

Another person thinking of Sue here. She said on her website that she was travelling with another couple (or was it 2 couples) who are going out there to adopt too - I keep thinking of Sue who to the naked eye might appear to be travelling on her own, but actually has the combined weight of Mumsnet travelling with her. I hope she can sense it.

Just weighed (well, actually weighed about three-quarters of an hour ago, then went and mowed the lawn ) and have lost a pound, so that's the half pound I put on last week, plus another half pound. My 'gardening trousers' are really loose on me too!

mousiemousie · 01/11/2006 17:21

Coppertop - excuse the thread hijack but I notice you have posted about otosclerosis and I just had an op for it - want to talk? I started a thread on the health section!

peegeeweegee · 01/11/2006 20:22

Just popped in quickly to say I have lost another pound, so now a total of 2 pounds lost

Hope you are all well, and am thinking of Sue. Wonder if she has met Junior yet. What an amazing moment that must be...

MrsJohnCusack · 01/11/2006 20:25

helloa nd thanks for kind thoughts for me!

Dottydot · 01/11/2006 22:34

Hi - I'm fine! Sedation's a wonderful thing - didn't feel a thing and don't remember anything about it! But Coeliac confirmed so I'll have to go about changing what I eat - you never know, it might help me shift a bit more weight..?!

Fauve · 02/11/2006 08:57

That's great Dottydot - I'll tell ds you felt nothing! Dh has gradually felt better and better since going gluten free - most notably he has much much more energy, so that does augur well for weight loss, doesn't it?

Fauve · 02/11/2006 08:59

Also we eat LOADS more fruit and veg than we ever did before; and if you can get into seeds - pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, etc - it really helps.

WigWamBam · 02/11/2006 09:57

Jackie, you're right about Sue travelling with the combined weight of MN with her. I also hope that she can sense it and knows how much we're all rooting for her.

OK, the figures ... sorry they're late again, my server has been playing up something rotten and I've only just been able to get on this morning.

coppertop: stayed the same (total 11lb)
dottydot: -2lb (total 12.5lb)
Fauve: -1lb (total 15lb)
Flutterbee: -2lb (total 22lb)
JackieNo: -1lb (total 29lb)
LittleMissSensible: -1lb (total 3lb)
peegeeweegee: -1lb (total 2lb)
TitianRed: stayed the same (total 15lb)
WWB: hugely embarrassed to own up to how much she's put on so is going to hide behind the curtains, blush and whisper it very quietly ... +10lb (total 12lb)

So crowns and piggies this week ... crowns to dottydot and Flutterbee and pig of the week for me

(runs away disgusted with self ... pausing only to start a new thread to run away from)

NothingButAttitudeOnMN · 02/11/2006 15:30

WWB stop it you know we don't have any of that kinda talk on here, piggy of the week indeed so you ate some nice food nothing to be ashamed of, pick yourself up and jump back on the wagon.

Cab we have a link to the new thread?
