Anyone using myfitnesspal???

Hi,

does anyone use myfitnesspal and would like another friend on there? I've just started using the app and doing the couch to 5k but would really like some weight loss friends for support. I did really well last year when I was going to the Rosemary Conley classes but I'm working evenings now and don't have time - it's nice to be able to chat about things and share tips but most of my real life friends are sickeningly skinny Wink. I'm rugbymum2013 on MFP if anyone wants to add me (I'm just finding my way around the site so not quite sure how it all works yet - is that all you need?).

When I went for a review on Monday I had put on over 8 lbs over the Christmas period so I am back on the wagon with a vengeance. I know what the trouble was - too much Christmas cake and cheese! I actually reached my target weight in October so am really cross with myself that I let it all slip (did enjoy the cake and cheese, though). Anyway I am back on MFP - my username is GillieFlower; would be pleased to have some friends if anyone is still interested.

Hi all
Like pop, I put on 8lbs over Nov/Dec, having lost 2st since last Jan on mfp. Its been brilliant, especially the support and advice from other members. I am doing a 40km Macmillan cycletta in June so I need to get fit and lose weight so I don't break the bike Shock

I will add you all, and look forward to us all losing weight together!

Panda and Mysk, I have just accepted your requests. I have been very good today; I try to be very careful during the day so that if I am still hungry in the evening after my dinner I can have a yoghurt or a piece of fruit. I am currently having to eat no more than 1,100 calories a day. The big faff is having to enter recipes on MFP, as I tend to cook everything from scratch. Tonight we are having Paprika Pork and I am just going to have to guess some of the weights of the ingredients as it is a dish that I did a while ago, and put in the freezer.

I am still cross that I put 8 lbs back on (I had lost ninety lbs last year!), and I must get it back under control before I go off the rails completely.

It does seem like a big faff at first but MFP does remember items that you have previously listed, the scanner helps too.

Found it a bit easier today to stick to my calories.

Didnt have breakfast until 10:30am which helped. Managed to get quite a bit of exercise done.

I'm hungry now so have come upstairs to be to avoid food.

Its evenings that are hard. Today I've found more difficult and now babysitting so want to snack! Resisting the urge at the mo!

It does make me snack less in the evenings-if I can see I only have a hundred or so calories left I will have a cup of tea or an ice lolly instead of a the usual snacking I would have normally been doing.

Can't imagine if I input in what I eat over the xmas hols on an average day what it would have added up too!!

I've just started Couch to 5K (first 2 wk1 runs done) and started using MFP a few days ago. I've found it quite useful to track calories as I tend to pick at things and having to log it all makes me think a bit more about what I'm eating.

I've entered a 5k run in May, so the challenge is on!

First weigh in and 4lb off. Really happy with that as a start.

Have menu planned for the week ahead.

Needing some new ideas for meals though. Happy for slow cooker or cook from scratch meals.

Ok, I was brave.

I stood on the scales for the first time in a year.

I was 20lbs heavier than when I last weighed myself. And I was overweight then. I'm horrified! But its a kick up the arse to stick with it.

Lost 4lbs last week, do am pleased to be back on track. Its getting easier every day too, after getting out of the habit of logging everything over Christmas.

Made a totally delicious sweet potato and chorizo hash for dinner tonight for DH and me. Recipe said serve as main course with salad. 500 calories each portion!!!!! Next time I shall serve a third of the size, as a side, with a bit of steak Grin Luckily I hadn't eaten much today, and went out on my bike 3 times, so I had the spare calories.
