And anyone else who wants to join in. The idea of this thread is a way to record weightloss, motivate each other, discuss which methods if any we are using to lose weight and give the occasional kick up the bum.

Right you lot. I was going to wait until new year to start this thread but I think that if I'm going to have my head in the right place to start, I need your help now. I haven't weighed yet I'll do that on the 1st but I think I probably have 2 1/2 stone to lose. Last time I had 3st to lose so I'm seeing that as a postitive.

So, are any of you still out there? Who'd like to join me? Xmas Grin

Erm...Yes i think so. Tho i suppose it depends on type of exercise and how weight bearing it is. So if you were lifting weights then surely calorie burn can't depend too much on your own weight. Whereas a run probably would.

StealthPolarBear · 12/02/2014 22:12

Well done on cardiectomy btw. Each time I read that I do think its some sort of heart procedure!
Short term goals - get back into it both food and exercise. Though I haven't binged in a few days so feel I'm making progress. Long term goal - lose 2 stone and be the lightest I've ever been as an adult. I want to be nine st something. I don't care if that something is 13 - im five eight so never going to be much under 10sst. But in the 9s would be amazing

TheOneWithTheHair · 12/02/2014 22:41

Thanks Stealth, that makes sense.

Well done on not binging. You need to get your head back to when you first lost loads of weight. I'm sure you can if you think back.

Yes Hair that does make sense, although I'm not sure about doing more exercise. My logic to this is just to increase the intensity of what you do but do the same amount length wise.

Also, if you are doing strength work and building muscle (not in a muscle man way obviously), the muscle makes your body more efficient/use more energy at rest. I'm pretty certain thats what an instructor in one of my exercise DVDs said anyway.

TheOneWithTheHair · 13/02/2014 07:44

That's hopeful. Maybe the lack of weight carried is countered by a more efficient body, so the exercise should stay relatively the same (in terms of time taken)?

I hope everyone is ok and doing well. Enjoy Valentine's Day! We are having a curry but I'm not having rice. Woo, we're romantic! Grin

Anyone got any plans?

OP posts:
Reastie · 14/02/2014 19:48

No plans here. I made DH heart biscuits and and heart shaped pizza for dinner Grin

Not doing too badly here if I forget the chocolate consumption Blush

TheOneWithTheHair · 14/02/2014 20:07

Last year I did bread, bacon and eggs in a heart shaped mold. Can't be bothered this year! Blush

I haven't had chocolate yet today! Grin

We went for a decent walk, then had lunch out at a cafe (who gave me a free chocolate-covered strawberryGrin)
Gang Show again in the evening, and not that much cake, but we're out for dinner between shows today, and there will be more cake backstage.
If I maintain I'll be lucky, if I've gained a bit it'll go during half term.

StealthPolarBear · 15/02/2014 07:50

Right I'm back and feeling MOTIVATED fro Monday. I will weight to see the damage and then meal plan for the week. Also going to need some new work snacks, bored of rice cakes. Any suggestions?

InMySpareTime · 15/02/2014 08:04

StealthPolarBear · 15/02/2014 08:05

GoodPlan will give oat cakes a go thanks. Already do have fruit

KatoPotato · 15/02/2014 09:19

I have 85% dark chocolate in my desk drawer at work. One square only 53 cals and really satisfies a craving.

If you want something more filling I have carrot sticks with humous or almond nut butter on oat cakes.

StealthPolarBear · 15/02/2014 09:37

he choc would be gone within an hour and I'm not even that keen on dark choc :o

TheOneWithTheHair · 15/02/2014 10:12

Do you like crisps? There are loads of baked crisps now that are around 100cals a bag.

OP posts:
KatoPotato · 15/02/2014 10:37

Wotsits are only 96

Snack pack butterkist 103

Pork scratchings 112

TheOneWithTheHair · 15/02/2014 11:29

Can't believe pork scratchings aren't higher.

Mmmmm pork scratchings - love them but they are a heart attack in a bag.

Reastie · 15/02/2014 13:01

I like those nakd bars for a snack, find them very filling. And bananas I also like, also a couple of rice cakes with peanut butter. I have 85% or 90% chocolate for my chocolate cravings but unfortunately I can still manage to eat alot of it even though it's strong Blush

Kato almond nut butter sounds delish, I really like almonds as snacks, might try and hunt some out!
