The Paul McKenna Thread Number 13 ~ the Good Luck Number! A Simple Title, for Simple Weight Loss and All amongst Friends!!

Welcome to thread 13 of the Paul McKenna's I Can Make You Thin weight loss system.

The Golden Rules that will aid you on your journey with our like minded friendly support system are:

1. Eat what you WANT
2. Eat when you are HUNGRY
3. Eat CONSCIOUSLY
4. STOP eating when you are satisfied and full

This weight loss system is about re-educating your body; learning to listen to it and in doing so losing weight and inches. After all, eating a meal is not a competition, it's about enjoying what you are putting into your mouth, but not feeling bloated and uncomfortable (or guilty) afterwards!
Many people have issues around food. Many of us have been brought up by the 'clear your plate' parents of yesteryear which leave us feeling guilty if we leave even the smallest morsel of food, but we are working through this guilt or any other hang up we may have, and we are learning to leave a bit on the plate; return to it another time if we really want to or even feed it to the dog or the bin!
So!! forget diets; they may work for a while, but they aren't permanent solutions. This is a new way of living for your brand new life!! Let's get lighter for those Christmas outfits!!

The Paul McKenna system really works and is easy to maintain.

I've C&P'd our previous threads links as they are helpful.

Here are the book choices on AMAZON which is all you need to get started! they aren't compulsory, but they do help! it's something to refer to and listening to the cd's can really focus you.

This is the tapping technique EXPLAINED - this can be useful to combat cravings.

You don't have to buy the book and CD, but we have found that they do help and somehow they keep you on track, so it would probably be a good investment and will cost you far less than a couple of trips to WW or SW meetings, so do consider having them in your life.

Please feel free to join us, whether it's 10lbs or 10 stones you want to lose.
We are friendly, supportive and successful, but we're not hungry and that is a great way to feel when you are dropping dress sizes at the same time!!! so come on in and start living your new life today and make 2013 your year to drop a dress size or several...if we can get those lbs off a few at a time, just think how we could look and feel for Christmas and The New Year!!!
Some of our thread members are also doing PMK's Virtual Gastric Band and although this thread is not about this avenue, we will still be supportive of our friends partaking of this, so don't think we wont be there for you. I'm pretty sure that the Golden Rules will be just as helpful in this process as the I Can Make You Thin process :) so get stuck in :)

He slept on the floor on a dark lonely country path. I was texting him and texting him. He texted me originally to say that he is making his own way home and then I heard nothing until 6.00 when he texted me to let me know he was ok. That must have been when he woke up. Kids.....you never stop worrying about them and its worse when they are older cause they earn their own money and go out and are independent ( well they think they are) but you still worry until they are back home and safe. Sighhhh!!

So pleased.....my clothes are looser. walking and weights starting to make a difference. I think not weighing and judging myself by what the scales say has also helped normalise my eating.

Isn't it weird you mentioning scales Rules i haven't weighed for literally months so i just did and am still losing without any effort at all Shock We even had a 5 course swanky meal on Sunday!!! I am amazed because I'm not rushing about more than usual the only thing different is I'm taking turmeric with olive oil twice a day!!!!!

Nice to have you back solo despite the mixed feelings which you're bound to have.

pp.....I didn't think you had weight to still lose ? Is it a good thing? I don't personally believe that a spice can cause you to lose weight. It's generally eating less one way or another that brings this about.

Pp tell me about the turmeric and olive oil please.

Morning All Grin Rules Don't knock it till you try it Grin I have put a bit on since the summer! No as I said it's a side effect of treating allergic runny nose reactions! Yes BBB has been away for a long time now.

solo Buy some ground turmeric organic is better. Then mix 2 tspoons with 2 tsps of olive oil in a washable little bowl (it stains so don't use a special one!). Take half in the morning with breakfast and a glass of water and finish it in the evening before bed or with supper.Always with water.

Im not knocking it its just that I have it regularly in food anyway, always have and but I don't appear to lose weight from it. The only way I lose weight is if I really do eat consciously and by doing that I eat less and lose weight. If I don't lose weight its cause im eating too much.

Im glad to hear you have put on a little though cause last time you mentioned your weight loss you were losing and you didn't know why.Smile

Oddly Rules` I used to put it in food too but on it's own it's quite potent i don't know why.

Solo if you try it start gradually and organise to be quite near a loo for a couple of days because it doesn't give you the shxxs it just makes you 'go' more than usual to start with especially if you need to detox. TMI Sorry but it needed to be said Grin

So it causes you to poo more which makes you weigh less on the scales?

Morning! Rules If it does that's good; the traditional western diet is not conducive to healthy bowel movements that's one of the reasons why I follow the Hay Way.Grin

just having curry requires me to be near a toilet and if I had curry every day I would need to be near a toilet. Turmeric and other Indian spices are in curry so maybe that's the answer. Eat curry !!!Grin

ppeatfruit · 03/10/2013 13:47

Yes of course! If you take turmeric on it's own it'll detox you so you'll have no loo issues.

I dont do detox as its basically starving your body of food and gives me migraines that last for twenty four hours in bed unable to move. Detox means not eating enough and that to me does sort of go against this woe. Similarily The Hay Diet.....it's still controlling the food you put in your body. I think that The Hay Diet and The Blood Group Diet enable you to keep your weight down as they restrict your food varieties. Sad

Apologies pp , I misread your post. Thought you meant take turmeric and do a detox. Sorry.

Well sadly a lot of foods and the way they are eaten make people ill so I prefer to be healthy and more 'picky ' about what I eat as I've never been on calorie controlled diets i don't have issues with bingeing etc. I found the Paul Mckenna works well with how I eat.

You CAN go on healthy detoxes though I'm not suggesting it's a brilliant idea quite a good way to kick off weight loss though.
