Congratulations everyone! Ds2 has just been admiring Schneebly's "crown hat". :)

Good luck to everyone for this week.

schneebly · 01/06/2006 09:39

I rather like the crown - always thought I should have been born into royalty! GrinWink

Good vibes for a great week everyone! Smile

suejonez · 01/06/2006 12:33

I WANT A CROWN, I WANT ONE.

Just like my school reports...

"Susan really must try harder"

TheHonArfy · 01/06/2006 12:40

yes the crown is motivating me Grin

I WILL make a proper effort this week, I will I will I will

WigWamBam · 01/06/2006 12:41

Well ... we all know what to do if we want a crown ... WinkGrin

amazonianwoman · 01/06/2006 13:19

That crown has my name on it Grin

My school report "A is fiercely competitive" LOL

coppertop · 02/06/2006 13:00

How is everyone doing?

I've got some kind of virus so can't face eating atm. Does this mean that I might get that crown without even trying? :o

schneebly · 02/06/2006 15:29

oooh sneaky coppertop - a virus eh?

Only joking! Hope you feel better soon. Smile

JackieNo · 02/06/2006 18:03

Oh dear Coppertop - hope you feel better soonSmile.

TheHonArfy · 02/06/2006 18:25

where did you get it Coppertop? I want it Grin

seriously, hope you feel better. My illnesses always seem to make me crave cakes and sweets...

rosebea · 02/06/2006 20:29

wwb & jackieno are beating me! I'm going to have cut out my nightly stack of digestives! I'm so proud of us all, can't belive how well everyone's doing! Grin

I think we are officially all just fabulous!

hub2dee · 02/06/2006 22:50

Dear bigmofos, Wink

Had my weigh in yesterday. I'm down 9 pounds in 4 weeks on WW points. Long may it continue. But I've just learnt they've released a new flavour Jaffa Cake and will need to put a few points their way.

Grin

The loss means I'm now in the 17 stone band instead of 18 stone which is nice, even though I've lost a dinky little point in my daily allowance. I am destined to lose an additional one on my birthday in a few months too (points allowance is calculated on a number of variables including weight and age)... so will soon be a lot less smiley I expect, LOL.

TheHonArfy · 02/06/2006 23:47

v.well done hub2dee!

(ps what is the new Jaffa cake then.....)

hub2dee · 03/06/2006 08:54

Thank you. I am so svelte. NOT.

I have staretd a thread regarding developments in Jaffa land \link{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk?rn=27491&topicid=1375&threadid=179288\here} so as not to cause excessive salivation on this one.

Smile
aintmebabe · 03/06/2006 09:28

Oh, you guys are all so heroic! Well done to everybody for all that weight loss. Meanwhile, I'm hanging around in the doldrums, not losing, but at least not gaining - I'm not even going to open that Jaffa cake thread, H2D, no I'm not, you can't make me.

I am at least the proud owner of a sprained wrist, acquired through an attempt at ice-skating. Of course I fell on the wrist with the full force of a heffalump, then had to go to the medical room to be pampered [sniff, sniff]. Shows willing, though, don't it? Grin

hub2dee · 03/06/2006 10:00

I reckon you'd have lost at least one pound, maybe more, if you'd have had it off at the wrist...

suejonez · 03/06/2006 11:50

Jaffa cakes are spawn of the devil

suejonez · 03/06/2006 11:51

However they don't have VAT on them as they are a cake not a biscuit. This was proved in a very famous landmark case when VAT sued McVities. McV won becasue biscuits go soft when stale and cakes go hard (apparently Jaffa cakes go hard when stale - ergo - cake!).

Is it really obviously that I trained as an accountant? You can tell me...

suejonez · 03/06/2006 11:52

And I'm eating for England over here in the isle of wight. My sister has BAAAAD things in the fridge Sad

hub2dee · 03/06/2006 11:52

They are a blessing from above.

WigWamBam · 03/06/2006 14:31

I quite like being a Big Mofo ... has a good ring to it Wink

A new flavour Jaffa Cake? Shock

Sacrilege.

Well done on your 9lbs Hub ... just don't get too carried away with sampling the Jaffa Cakes, hey!

OP posts:
suejonez · 03/06/2006 17:40

Obviously nobody is impressed by my interesting VAT/Jaffacake fact. Huh, no hope for any of you...

aintmebabe · 03/06/2006 18:44

It is quite interesting, Suejonez; it's just that it makes me hungry. I could eat one of those stale ones right now.

Mmmmm, crispy Jaffa cakes...

I suppose if I'd had my left hand amputated, as recommended by H2D, I'd only have one hand left to eat with. Could cut the calories; but would put an end to my sporting career as an ice dancer, twirling gracefully above dh's head [guffaw, guffaw]

WigWamBam · 03/06/2006 19:05

Dh is a Project Manager for a food group, has worked on lines for Jaffa Cakes, and takes every opportunity to tell me (and anyone who will listen) about their famous court case proving they are a cake. I can't believe that there's someone else who is similarly fixated GrinWink

OP posts:
WigWamBam · 03/06/2006 19:06

I also know why the last Jaffa Cake in every packet faces the opposite way to the rest of them ... it's another of his "fascinating" facts.
