Very good points 50

Hazelbrowneyes · 22/06/2013 12:12

Thanks guys.

Em the more I think about it, the more I think I won't text A. I'm really surprised she didn't tell me she hadn't invited B which makes me wonder if an invitation is on it's way to B? I still haven't answered B. No idea what to say. I was thinking of keeping it light like "Oh, that's a bit strange. Sorry, hope I haven't upset you. How are things with you?"

50 B knew about the wedding. You?re right, if there was an issue, one of them should have bloody told me.

I?m just hoping B doesn?t put a passive aggressive status on FB.

Anyway, now it seems we?re going to a wedding where we will only know the bride (not yet met the groom!) Erk. We?re not great at socialising.

Weighed in this morning?9st 2lbs. Not really a surprise given how much I?ve eaten this week. Yesterday was a bit better?had 2 fajitas then used the other 2 tortillas to mop up the sauce Blush had a glass of wine before going out then 3 gins. Could have been worse!

Today I?ve had an omelette and a cereal bar. No idea what?s for lunch; dinner is Chinese and copious amounts of wine.

Diet can start again on Monday.

Emilythornesbff · 22/06/2013 12:24

Poor hazel
Yes, a nice breezy txt should do it.

Diet wise: skip lunch? Or have fruit and just look forward to yummy Chinese and wine? Envy

I am too Blush to tell you what I've eaten today Grin

Bakingnovice · 22/06/2013 22:39

Well I'm not ashamed to tell you what I've eaten:

B: two slices of tiger bread, butter, milky tea with sugar
L: Doritos cheese flavour, slice of tiger bread
D: 4 slices pizza, fries. Then homemade Bakewell tart. And custard.

I have eaten loads! Had to come and confess. Feel bloated and full. Another nfd tmrw but am hoping to run and walk.

Hazel - dint worry about the txt. And enjoy your food tmrw, the diet can start Monday as planned.

twinklestar2 · 22/06/2013 23:46

Hello everyone!

I had a foody day today but I did walk 10k for charity Grin

Got told I looked slimmer today which is always nice!

Back to diet tomorrow :)

Waves to everyone

SixPackWellies · 23/06/2013 13:40

Hi everyone.

Hope you sort out the wedding stress, Hazel

10 k walk is great Twinkle!

So pleased your DH apologised, Em and hope you enjoy the rest of your time away. Envy

I ate heaps yesterday... roast lamb with lots of garlic (which we discovered- the hard way- does not agree with DC3. Cue projectile vomiting, all over mummy. Poor baby. Clothes in wash. Baby in bath. ) Today I have made a huge pot of veg soup and plan for soup for dinner every day until WI day on Thursday. I am going to be 10stone6 or less if it kills me. (Although DH muttering about a pub roast dinner tonight is starting to seep into my consciousness).

Busy week ahead. Hope you are all well.

OP posts:
SixPackWellies · 23/06/2013 15:00

Oh, I have to tell you a cute thing, on the back of DC3 vomiting everywhere. DC3 is a late talker, but is just now starting to copy everything. I call all the Dcs 'sweetiepie' or 'honeychild' and he repeats that.

This morning, when he woke up I kissed him and said 'Hello Stinker' (it's affectionate, promise!)

we go to Church. The vicar looks into his stroller and says 'Hello [DC3]'. DC3 looks up and clear as a bell calls out 'Hello Stinker!'.

Blush

Thankfully everyone fell over laughing.

OP posts:
twinklestar2 · 23/06/2013 18:11

Aw that is cute!

Today's menu:

Cheerios and SS milk

Half an oven pizza

Chicken roast dinner with broccolli.

SixPackWellies · 24/06/2013 06:15

Good morning all!

Well, we had takeaway Chinese last night and I scoffed mounds of food. :(

Today

fruit and yoghurt
veg soup and toast
baked salmon and salad

No alcohol- calorie free drinks only.

One good thing - I am very discreet and people can (and do) tell me very private things and i do not pass it on.

O&D FR!

here is Sixpack heading for 10 stone 6 by Thursday.......

OP posts:
twinklestar2 · 24/06/2013 09:41

My menu:

Muesli and SS milk
Soup
Fajitas and avacado salad
Fruit and yoghurt

Hazelbrowneyes · 24/06/2013 10:33

Morning all,

baking Saturdays menu sounds DIVINE
twinkle Well done on the 10k! Today's menu looks great!
Wellies You sound so focussed! Having a goal is a real motivation isn?t it? Don?t worry about the Chinese, Saturday nights are made for takeaways!

Wedding update: I text B (eventually) and she replied saying she doubts A has her address anyway. She didn?t seem upset. Phew.

La weekend:
Saturday ?
B: Omelette
L: Cheese and crackers
D: Pizza (not Chinese. Not happy) with curly fries
S: Cereal bar, lots of wine

Sunday ?
B: 2 rashers of bacon, 1 poached egg
D: Steak & Guinness pie with chips, peas and lots of yummy thick gravy
S: 4 spring rolls, birthday cake (a child had fingered most of the food at the party and I couldn?t bring myself to eat any of it!), wine

Weighed in this morning: 9st 0lbs. I?d like to be 8st 12lbs by next Monday (AF due this weekend though so I?m sure I?ll be saying hello to water retention)

Today:
B: soft boiled egg with 1 slice of toast
L: salad with feta cheese
D: chilli with rice ? I couldn?t get any cauliflower this week so it?ll be normal rice unless I can get to the shop after work
S: I have a cereal bar and I may buy some fruit. I fancy crisps and chocolate (as usual!) but I?m determined to eat healthier. My IBS has been awful this last week and I?m sure it?s down to my diet.

If I get off my arse and exercise tonight, I?ll reward myself with a glass of wine.

I?m also determined to stop procrastinating at work. I?m really not enjoying it at the moment so I?m sitting here staring into space most of the day. I think it?s because I?m pretty overwhelmed by how much there is to do.

I?m going for 3 good things today as I didn?t do any over the weekend:

  1. I?m excellent at spelling.
  2. I can keep myself entertained for long periods. I think this is down to being an only child, but I do like my own company.
  3. I?m a sucker for sentimental things: I still have a note that DH sent me 8 years ago in my purse, I?m yet to part with any of my grandmothers jewellery, despite the fact I will only wear one item (her engagement ring) & I have kept a friendship bracelet my friends 5 year old daughter made for me.
iheartshoes · 24/06/2013 21:38

Hi ladies. Fasting today.
B - one scrambled egg w one slice ham
D - 1/2 chicken breast,, 2 new pots, runner beans
S - x3 choc buttons
Looking forward to breakfast tomorrow !!

50shadesofbrown · 24/06/2013 21:55

Hello Fellow Revolutionaries.

Wellies that's really cute!
Twinkle 10k OMG that's amazing!
Hazel hope that's the end of the matter & you don't have to deal with their (possible) argument.

weighed myself this morning, still 10 stone 6 lb. Not a surprise, given how much I lost last week due to feeling unwell. But, my appetite is returning, slowly but surely, & my energy levels with it. So I'm getting there.

I've sort of had a couple of days 'off' my diet - one planned, (Saturday), & one not (today). Today ended up being a bit of a car crash, had Ryvitas & Marmite for breakfast, leftover rice for lunch (not too bad so far) then went to my niece's 2nd birthday party. Had the usual - bread, chicken, sausage roll, etc. Cake. More cake Blush Ah well, tomorrow is a new day. Confirms my theory though - I had quite a bit to eat (lots of calories I should think but it was a lot of wheat & sugar). I am absolutely STARVING.

One good thing about me - I tend to see the best in people. My family always thought my DH was nice enough but didn't understand why I wanted to be with him (unemployed, MH issues, difficult family). It's taken them years to realise that he's also brilliantly funny, supportive, extremely intelligent & gentle, despite looking like a scary heavy metal obsessed giant man.

I am hoping it will be a nice day tomorrow, weather wise, as I am contemplating attempting a bit of a run. Probably I will not get very far - but at least I should manage a decent walk.

Anyway, O&E FRs

Emilythornesbff · 25/06/2013 08:00

Sorry to be so brief.
Thinking of you all.
I am tidying up. Which means eating everything nice that I bought because I haven't the baggage allowance to take it home.
Also been playing on aibu.
Chat later. X

Hazelbrowneyes · 25/06/2013 10:14

Morning,

iheart well done on the fast.

50 all the yummy stuff appears to be full of ?empty? calories. It?s so unfair! Your one good thing about yourself has made me feel all warm and fuzzy.
Em If all tidying up involved eating yummy food, I?d be inclined to tidy up more! Wink

I feel pretty good today, which is weird as I have a sore throat, fuzzy head and my glands are up. I?ve got loads done at work this morning.

Yesterday: I stayed on track. I purchased fruit and didn?t snack on anything else. I did have rice with dinner as I didn?t get a chance to get to the shop. I didn?t exercise (although I did do some gardening) but I did have 2 glasses of cava. Oops.

Today:
B ? None so far
L ? Egg mayo sandwiches Grin
D ? No idea, something with chicken I think.
S ? I have a croissant with me and I have a cereal bar.

I?m aiming to stay off diet coke as I?m sure it encourages me to eat crisps and chocolate.

Definitely feel more focussed and in control this week.

One positive from me: I?m helpful. Sometimes too helpful (yes, MIL, I?m looking in your direction) but I think doing good deeds is good for the soul.

Bakingnovice · 25/06/2013 12:18

Hello stinkers!! Haha.

Hazel you are a woman after my own heart. I love that you have egg mayo sarnies regularly. I love them.

50 - get well soon. Sounds like the bug is on its way out.
I heart - I'm not fasting today. Having homemade chicken curry later. Just had weetabix for brekkie with hot milk and sugar as I've had a headache since yesterday afternoon. Started week 3 of running. Still no weight loss.

My positives: the sun is shining. We upped our offer on dream house and it was accepted ( even though we are stressed about it all going through). And a personal positive for me is that yesterday someone told me I was a great mum. Having had a terrible mum this means a lot as my aim in life is to never repeat the mistakes of my childhood and to break the cycle.

SixPackWellies · 25/06/2013 13:22

Great news on the dream house Baking!!! I am SO happy for you! And that is a lovely personal positive. :)

Have a good trip home Em.

Me- well, breakfast was veg soup. Lunch was a ham and salad sandwich with LOTS of salad and dinner will be roast chicken and veg but a small portion.

I doubt I will get to 10 stone 6 this week.
One good thing about me - I like my hair colour.

OP posts:
50shadesofbrown · 25/06/2013 16:42

Hello everyone.

Baking that's great news, fingers crossed everything goes smoothly for you.
Wellies your menu looks yummy, I love salad sandwiches.
Hazel hope you shake off the fuzzy head. Any chance it was the cava?
Emily hope you have a good journey home.

Well I did it! (sort of.) I walk to work & back every day, it's about 2k each way. When I started back at work it took me 40 mins to get there, now it takes me 25. Today, I got home, had a snack & drink & got changed then went back out & basically went back up there. So I've walked (& jogged a bit) about 8k today. Jogged some of the way (not much to be fair, but it's a start) & briskly walked the rest. It took me about 45 mins. Am going to try & do it more often, feel really good now. Was worried my feet would hurt, as I have problems & have to wear supports in my shoes, but they are fine. Yay! That's definitely my good thing for today.

O&D FRs

Morning everyone!

Today for me -

B- veg soup and yoghurt (have to finish the saucepan)
L- veg soup, one cracker, ham and tomato
D- BBQ chicken salad and a glass of Banrock light wine (only 5% alcohol).

I am having hard time of thinking of one good thing every day- much easier to think of things I dislike! But it is about re-programming. ;)

One good thing - after years of lifting heavy toddlers, I have very strong upper arms.
