Hi all, I joined slimmig world yesterday as I finally ready and motivated to get this weight off. Anyone else? Is there a support thread for those following slimming world? As I couldn't see one on here. If not anyone interested in helping to support each other here?

The only ceral i know as a healthy b of top of my head is jordans museli because thats what i have if having cereal, i try not to mind as its a pitiful amount when you measure it out and id rather have 2 slices of bread! ANyway this week will be a tryer, i WI on wed but tomorow night being pancake night and going out for a meal with friends wed and dh possibly cooking one of those meal deals on thurs its not going to be good - mind i have done 20 mins on the cross trainer this week so im hoping Wed WI is a good result for once, i am tempted to WI tomorow so if its grim i can have a zillion pancakes - what are you all going to do about pancakes?

sunnyshine · 11/02/2013 18:15

I have been to SW for 2 weeks - tomorrow would be my second weigh in but I have to go on Wednesday instead as I'm going out with DH. I lost 5lbs in my first week

We are going to Pizza Express and I was hoping someone could advise me on what to have there? I like everything!

I have had a syn free day today and yesterday - is it ok to 'bank' syns in preparation?

Trying to get DS to bed so will check in later if that's ok?

URGENT!!!!!

I have fed the kids but need inspiration for my tea Shock.

Tesco delivery isn't due until tomorrow so the only fresh food I have is cherry toms, peppers, ham & cheese.

Having omlette tomorrow so don't really want to go eggy. Had jacket and beans for lunch. Still have both HE available. Am doing extra easy.

Plenty of tinned staples - toms, passata, pasta, rice.

Please inspire me Grin

noyouhavehadawee · 11/02/2013 20:01

ring in a chicken kebab at the take away Grin sorry not helpful i know! poached eggs on toast is my fall back.

laughalot · 11/02/2013 21:22

Bad roly pasta made with the ham, tomatoes ect ?

I have put a 1lb on this week not bad to say all the crap I consumed at the weekend and im on this week.

A really gross question I know is anyone constipated on this diet ? I never ever suffer but at the minute its bad lol. I thought eating healthy food would send me the other way !!!!!!

Well done everyone who ia losing and keep trying those who have syned like me hee hee.

androbbob · 11/02/2013 21:59

Managed another half pound off today - that is a total of 12lbs now! struggling really at the moment - my intermediate goal of 25lbs off by end of May means I have to lose 24lbs in the next 15 weeks - not at this rate of half a pound a week!

I really need to knuckle down as said earlier - not sure what to change - maybe my body is used to the same food I eat - I am doing more excercise walking around, but its obviously not enough! I am aiming for 2lbs this week to get my stone award. And then to get the next half stone by Easter.

Arrrggghh!! Why is it so hard??

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/02/2013 23:44

I would have made a pasta ham cheesey bake

I do have batchelors pasta as sauce and rice packets - add chopped veg and quick meal. Mix in tuna ham chicken etc protein to keep you full

Laughalot :( but understandable

Androb. It's a loss. Well done

Im hungry :( fed babs and feel a need for something but don't know what. Had yummy lasagne for tea and oh enjoyed as used a cheese sauce packet rather then quark and eggs which is just rank !!

Hope I lose fri / sts last two weeks tho won't moan about last fri wi as I did eat 250syns in one weekend

Been good apart from sat but I am
In my syns of 105

Really must learn to eat and b's - saying that I did today as had magic pancakes but its a big breakfast really

35g oats
Egg
Yog
Fruit

Much more then would normally eat

SeriouslyStrongCheddar · 12/02/2013 07:00

Morning all

Anyone doing pancakes tonight? Can't decide whether I can be bothered or not!

Had a different lunch yesterday - on the days I work I normally have a tub of cottage cheese and four ryvita but on Sunday I thought I'd make a SW quiche as an experiment. 6 eggs, a 300g tub of cottage cheese with sweet chilli, a packet of wafer thin honey roast ham and some oregano all mixed up and cooked at Gas Mark 5 for about 45 mins.

Cut it into three for lunch on working days this week and packed the first bit yesterday with some trepidation. Had it for lunch with a packet of sweetfire baby beetroot - oh my god, so tasty! Never really been a quiche fan, but it was lovely - sooo filling though; had to persuade a friend to help with the beetroot as didn't fancy re-packing them and risking a beetroot juice leak in my bag!

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/02/2013 08:08

I like making quiche. Must get some more cottage cheese. Often use the pineapple one tho syned

Might go and buy some today and make a big one. Weirdly enough I don't miss the pastry

ThatBintAgain · 12/02/2013 08:48

I'm wondering if I can make pancakes without the butter in, using the milk as an A and just syn-ing the flour? That should work shouldn't it? Can't see the butter being make or break in terms of texture/flavour? But then its what to put on- is it worth it?

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/02/2013 10:33

Bint - make magic free pancakes using your b

35g oats
1 or 2 eggs depending on size you want
1/2ml
Tbsp sweetener

Mix and cook slowly on low either in a big one or makes 3 little ones

Serve with banana strawberry etc - lemon juice and sweetener - all free

Or have choc phil - think 30g is 2.5syns - spread on pancake and enjoy

BadRoly · 12/02/2013 11:01

Laughalot I'm not constipated but I do now have shocking wind Confused and I feel I need to poo more often and don't always feel finished iyswim? Maybe that is constipation?

BadRoly · 12/02/2013 11:02

Meant to add - are you drinking plenty? If you are having more fibre but not taking in more fluid, you'll get bunged up Smile

laughalot · 12/02/2013 11:15

No that is my problem I do not drink enough Sad.

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/02/2013 11:43

i am def more regular in the poo department Grin

b fruit and yog
l chilli prawn linguini and chopped veg in sauce
t spag bol/chilli - again something mincey with a as my cheese

prob wont have pancakes as working tonight, so may take a mugshot :)

noyouhavehadawee · 12/02/2013 12:13

i have wi a day early this week as starting tonight i have pancakes, a meal out and potentially dh cooking so it will be a bad week, anyway i lost 65g Grin Grin Grin not a lot but still a loss. i am buzzing though because that means my bmi has just slipped into the healthy range Grin Grin Grin Grin . i have a total loss now of 7.5 pounds in six weeks which actually sounds pretty rubbish Confused

Tindertree · 12/02/2013 12:19

Morning all, well done on some great losses! A pound on for me, which I'm hoping is just water retention, but may well be fat as I've been rather derailed again this week Blush White bread! Cheese! Peanut butter! Wine!

This week should be a bit calmer, so I'm going to stop sticking my head in the sand and make myself log in more regularly.

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/02/2013 14:23

still a loss :) and over all its a lb a week roughly, same as me, and its a loss over all so dont dispair tho i understand why when people on sw lose 4/5/6lbs every week

sunnyshine · 12/02/2013 16:44

What is quark? I have found a lasagne receipt with it in but not sure what it is!!

iklboo · 12/02/2013 16:53

It's kind of a low fat soft cheese. We made the lasagne the other week & it's bloody lovely.
