Hi all, I joined slimmig world yesterday as I finally ready and motivated to get this weight off. Anyone else? Is there a support thread for those following slimming world? As I couldn't see one on here. If not anyone interested in helping to support each other here?

So far today...

B - All Bran and skimmed milk (2.5 syns) with a banana

L - Leftover fish pie from yesterday (2 syns), a yogurt and a couple of clementines

Dinner will be SW paella (which is fast becoming our favourite meal) with seafood mixed in.

Have had some fruit as a snack and plenty of water. Also spent an hour clearing snow which surely counts for something!!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/01/2013 15:46

b fruit and lf yog 1syn
l salmon and rice and veg
t sw lasagne and cheese sauce using a and 2 syns

littlemefi · 21/01/2013 16:35

Hi can I join too?
Won't be going to group as I work shifts, as does DH, and have a 3 year old dd.Have done SW successfully before and lost 3 and a half stone and stayed at target for a year before becoming pregnant with dd.
Have at least 1 1/2 to 2 stone to lose and am fed up of feeling like a fat frumpy mum! Joined a group last year but the SW consultant wasn't very accommodating when there were days I couldn't come, due to shift work, so I stopped going, but at least I have all the books and know about syns/green days/red days/ EE.

laughalot · 21/01/2013 20:26

b wheatabix
l potatoe and leek soup homemade
d spag bol

snack - low fat youghurt

cleared half of our snowy road that best be some lbs off ha ha
was my weigh in day today but I wasnt at work because of the snow and school being off so will weigh in the morning.

Tindertree · 21/01/2013 20:45

Welcome androbob, gofaster and littlemefi!

Weigh in in the morning for me, but I very much doubt it'll be a loss at all after rather too many wine syns over the weekend. No slip-ups on the food front though, so I'm optimistic I can get it back on track over the next few days Grin

Samnella · 21/01/2013 21:20

Hi all, Smile

Today has been a fairly good day. Not perfect but OK:

B - Banana (I wasn't very hungry)
L- Chicken salad and fruit salad.
S- Banana - 4 syns
S- Pancake and an orange.
D- Chicken and rice (couldn't be bothered to cook veg!)
Half of one of DH's lemon tarts - yum. 6 syns

I am trying to get a collection of easy cook recipes together for when I am working (Mon-Thu). They have to be family friendly so easy to cook in 30 minutes or so. Have any of you got any favourites you could share?

androbbob · 21/01/2013 21:22

waves to blondes - loving seeing your meals on FB!

I did write a long post but lost it ...grrrr.

Mini targets of 5lb per month with an aim of 25lbs off in 18 weeks before going to Center Parcs!

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/01/2013 21:43

Welcome little :)

Androb - think my fb pics annoy some but tough shit Grin

Samella - lasagne , chilli prawn linguini , chicken&veg pie , salmon and rice , fish pie , spag Bol , diet coke chicken , shepherds pie

beanandspud · 21/01/2013 22:14

Salmnella - have a look and see if you can get this month's SW magazine. There is an additional book with recipes in it and the ones I've tried have been good.

We ended up with Quorn chilli tonight. Ratatouille with wedges, pineapple and squash curry and bean bake are on the list for this week. Frittata is my 'quick and easy' dinner and uses up all of the leftover bits of veg in the fridge.

noyouhavehadawee · 22/01/2013 09:15

How did yesterdays weighters get on? Today is my day off and tomorow is my date with the scales, dh is working late today and the dc have begged me to do them a homemade parmesan tonight for tea so i really dont know how to sw that up for me other than just having the breadcrumbed chicken then drool at theirs - bit torturous. I have come on tinternet this am to keep me from thinking about food - today i fear i have the nibbles - i must stay strong........

Tindertree · 22/01/2013 12:47

Stay strong noyou!

No loss for me this week. It's not unexpected - too many syns. I've been doing a lot of pilates too, so have possibly altered something to do with muscle... (The science of it evades me.) But, a loss next week is essential.

A very disciplined week ahead for me!

likelucklove · 22/01/2013 12:53

Marking place, will add once I've put DD down for nap.

noyouhavehadawee · 22/01/2013 13:32

oh well tindertree at least you did not gain Smile . i have had fruit and muller for breakfast today and a onion omlet for lunch, thinking of doing me a chicken quorn risotto for tea for me whilst satisfying the dc with their parmo then hopefully i might lose tomorrow though suspect it will be minimum after last weeks big loss.

androbbob · 22/01/2013 13:42

noyou - stay strong - no nibbling!! Grin

I have had HEXB cereal - forget what it is called but are little curls of bran with milk from HEXA.

Lunch was home made pea and ham soup - out of the freezer as made last month. Was delicious and was free! Three Ryvita flatbreads used as croutons (6 syns) and added a Muller yog (free) and that was me done!

Spag bol for tea with some cauli that needs using up.

Been drinking loads of water today as well.

Cant decide what day to WI - class was a Monday but is too soon after weekend, so may go for a Thursday or even a Friday morning. Will decide later!

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/01/2013 14:44

noyou what is homemade parmasen?? assuming something cheesey Grin be strong!!!!

tinder sts is good esp if been bad with syns, so well done

androb fri am works well for me, then if been a bad blonde Wink at the weekend with food/gin Grin etc then can have less syns during the week

i count weekly rather then daily, so as long as im inbetween 70-105 10/15 a day then should be ok - chinese and gin i had the other day was 30 and i though omfg, but just means as long as dont have more then 10 a day should even self out iyswim

just made my fav chilli prawn linguini - yummy :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/01/2013 14:48

bean im gonna try your curry tonight .......................

Curry recipe...

Boil 100g of sweet potatoes (cubed) for about 10mins until soft. In another pan stir together a 400g can of tomatoes, a tin of chickpeas, 1/2 teaspoon of chilli flakes and 2 tablespoons of curry paste. Simmer for about 5mins.

Drain the potatoes and add to vegetable mixture, stir in about 100g baby spinach leaves and wilt. Stir in coriander and seasoning and serve with rice.

It's 4 syns in total (for the curry paste) so not too bad and v tasty.

the sw app i have on my phone says the pasta is 1.5syns per tbsp so that would be 3 not 4- what sauce did you use? thanks x

noyouhavehadawee · 22/01/2013 16:49

blondes its a big take away favourite round here which basically involves a chicken or pork escalope covered in bread crumbs the size of a giant pizza box covered with bechamel sauce with loads of cheese lashed over the top too. my version was a lot smaller and less enjoyable Grin . i had it with two sweet potato wedges, half a baked potato some baked beans and salad. Grin Grin Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/01/2013 17:31

so chicken and cheese then - weird Grin

littlemefi · 22/01/2013 18:24

Well first day not too bad!
B 2 small slices wholemeal toast with scraping marmalade ?1syn and a banana
L big bowl homemade lentil, celery and carrot soup syn free and a lot yummier than it sounds, plus an apple
D beef casserole made in slow cooker with lots of extra sf veg
Snacks, 1 actimel yoghurt ?4 syns as not a fat free one, plus a homemade fairy cake with butter cream icing ??5 syns
And just had a sugar free jelly! (Feel like a child eating jelly but needed something sweet)

noyouhavehadawee · 22/01/2013 18:54

blondes you cannot dismiss a parmesan like that - i am going to link you to the real deal.......

noyouhavehadawee · 22/01/2013 18:57
