I read that and had a lager, two glasses of red wine, a steak, baked potato with butter, salad, half a packet of breadsticks, lump of brie, six crackers, and a load more butter.

I am feeling quite shocked at the amount of gorging I did. Shock In my defence I was bloody starving.

TaggieCampbellBlack · 27/01/2013 18:26

I may be needing more Wine this evening.

I have just eaten....

Half a tub of twiglets
1 fruited teacake
A whole mini pannetone

Hormonal cravings out of control.

I'm scoffing my own body weight in all the food I've been avoiding over the past few weeks :( I can only hope I manage to get back on track when I return to work on weds. Needless to say, I won't be weighing in this week. Far too depressing!!!!

BoffinMum · 28/01/2013 14:43

Stay strong, people. We are lapsing but we can RESIST! Let 'towards full gorgeousness' be our motto.

Shybairns · 28/01/2013 16:29

If I walked into a MacDonalds right now and ate my favourite chicken nuggets, chips and diet coke I would enjoy it for all of 5 mintues ( I eat that quick) then I would start to feel bloated and in the car on the way home I'd be cursing myself for eating such junk and wasting all my dieting efforts.

Hmmph Confused

I know this and yet I am really craving a thoughtless blow out.

Lost a pound and a half his week. Ploughing on

FiveGoMadInDorset · 28/01/2013 17:29

I am back. Interesting weekend, struggled with staying with close friends as they have completely different parenting style. Lost 2lbs by last Friday and put one back on so aiming for a loss again this week.

Those who have lapsed, it has been and gone, can't take it back, just renew. Sometimes you do need a thoughtless blow out to get you back on track.

Guitargirl · 29/01/2013 06:51

It's hard to stay strong in this weather isn't it? But the thing that's keeping me going is that before you know it it will be Spring again and I just can't face another summer being huge. So, NOW is the time to something about that - not June/July!

Weigh in day for me today - 2.5 lbs down which am happy with, now into the 12s: 12 stone 11.75lbs.

Good luck for those weighing today!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 29/01/2013 06:51

Just half a pound this week which is OK.

TaggieCampbellBlack · 29/01/2013 07:27

Well done on the losses, I've stuck this week which is not surprising since I had an Indian takeaway and a bottle of wine on Sunday night!

OneSliceOfSwissCheese · 29/01/2013 11:06

Well done for losses and maintaining. I'm not weighing today after 4 days of binging. But I am back on the diet train today.

PuggyMum · 29/01/2013 18:15

Well done taggie! Our first stone!

I'm struggling too in this hotel. It's lovely but even having a healthy breakfast I'm having more than I should and the dinner menu is not healthy at all.

I've just driven to an m&s for a room picnic for later as I can't face more hotel food!!

I snuck in a bottle of wine and will be taking this home for another time as was under budget!!

TerraNotSoFirma · 29/01/2013 21:54

I forgot to weigh in this morning, I've barely sat down all day.
Will check tomorrow, hoping to have lost something.

Shybairns · 30/01/2013 13:21

Went out for dinner last night. Starter, main and a slice of chocolate cake. Not to mention 4 Shock glasses of wine!!!

It was a blow out and I feel better for it.

This morning I was having a bit of a worry about loosing anything, after last night, so all I had for breakfast was a cup of tea and a small apple.

Have been at work all morning (in a primary school) and strangley I have felt less hungry than usual. How can this be if I had no breakfast?

Normally I'd have a small bowl of cereal or some porridge for breakfast. And by lunch time I am painfully hungry.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 30/01/2013 17:48

I had a blowout last night and feel back in control. Sometimes it just has to be done. My blow out was on bread, have been missing it but had my fix for another few weeks.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 30/01/2013 17:50

Although I am quite glad that my friend is not coming tonight and tomorrow as have PIL's here for the weekend, gives me a couple of nights off.

DigWeedSow · 30/01/2013 18:47

I think that it's better to have a blow out now and then rather than feeling deprived of the things that you crave. The trick is to enjoy, not feel guilty and move on.

Went to my first yoga lesson yesterday and was met by a spritely instructor in her mid 70's. After being put through the paces I have to concede that I was outdone by someone 30 years my senior Grin or so my thigh muscles are telling me today! Joking aside I really enjoyed the class and was made to feel very welcome, I've even found some fab tutorials on Youtube that I'm planning to try at home.

TerraNotSoFirma · 30/01/2013 19:45

13stone 2lbs :)
A few steps in the right direction, hoping next week to be in 'the 12's' (stones not jeans, that's a fair way off)

DH found a Pilates DVD in his staff canteen, a free with a newspaper one. Starting that tomorrow.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 30/01/2013 20:23

Well done Terra.

My food seems to be going back in the right direction, have done well today ended up with stir fry veg and chicken. off to do some ironing to stop me picking.

BoffinMum · 31/01/2013 08:55

I am a bit disappointed. Back up to 14 st 4 despite doing 30-60 minutes exercise every weekday, and reducing calories by about a third. Not quite sure what else I can tinker with tbh.

Shybairns · 31/01/2013 19:40

Bofffin You must have put on some muscle weight.

TaggieCampbellBlack · 31/01/2013 21:14

I agree Boffin. Its all adjusting.

I have eaten like a flipping pig today. V v bad.

Me too Taggie (great name btw). This week is pretty well a right off. Weigh in day is Monday though so may still be able to claw back a pound loss.
