Missed my monday weigh in as my optimisitic 'must be detoxing as i feel a bit rough' turned into flu and a hiatus hernia. Very positive on the weightloss front but as I have eaten nothing except tiny portions of scrambled egg or custard since thursday it is not sustainable and I expect a gain once I start feeling better. Current loss (1 week and 2 days) 9lb, with less than no exercise and sleeping most of the time. i am dreading being well enough to eat because of the oesophagus damage I suspect I'll be on high calorie bland/creamy stuff for a while. My jeans fit really nicely though Smile.
Well done to everyone who have lost weight the better way!

TerraNotSoFirma · 16/01/2013 14:18

I finally got proper scales and weigh in at 13st 13lbs.
3 stones to lose.

I have been really watching what I eat and not eating anything after 6pm.

-D-H has just come home with cream cakes, what an absolute bastard. I am quite mad at him.
We agreed to do healthy eating together. :(

I have given 'my' cream cakes to the DC

Furball · 16/01/2013 14:28

boffin come and sit on my stayed the same bench with me - at least it wasn't a gain.

terra - wow - good girl 10/10 for will power. Grin

BoffinMum · 16/01/2013 15:11

Went out for lunch and had grilled chicken and peppers and diet coke. About 10 calories in the whole ruddy thing, I imagine. Hope my frugality pays off soon!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 16/01/2013 17:09

Look on the very bright side Boffin you didn't gain.

TaggieCampbellBlack · 16/01/2013 19:43

I'm too knackered to do the gym. And have serious carb and fat craving. I'm picking on raw veggies but it's just not the same as a sanwich or cake. Humph.
I shall channel some of Terra's will power.

Are you still on nights Taggie or have you finished now?

TaggieCampbellBlack · 16/01/2013 19:57

Finished for this week. Back on Early Saturday, the nights again from Monday. Ugh. And lots of snow forcast. Double ugh.

TerraNotSoFirma · 16/01/2013 20:41

Not so much willpower as sheer 'you bastard, you are trying to de-rail my diet rage'
He is one of those annoying gits who can eat anything really, his 34" waists were a bit tight, so he did healthy eating and insanity workout for only five days and is back to being 13 stone, 6ft and a 32" waist. You see, annoying eh?

Well, I have had a slim fast for breakfast, Melba toast, one slice of havarti cheese and two boiled eggs for lunch. Chicken, peppers and sweetcorn for dinner at 5pm.
I'm starting to feel pretty hungry so I am going to have a decaf coffee and go to bed. (And dream of cream cakes probably)

FiveGoMadInDorset · 16/01/2013 20:55

Shift patterns like that play havoc with your body, I don't envy you, Yes to snow as well, DD's birthday party is on Saturday, going bowling (I hope)

BoffinMum · 17/01/2013 08:07

14 STONE 2.5 LBS!
Have lost another pound. Mainly through will power. Not suffered too greatly though. Grin

TaggieCampbellBlack · 17/01/2013 08:15

Hurrah Boffin!

I wanted to share a craving buster that I have found helpful in avoiding cake, the evil one.

Chop up a banana, put a sprinkling on fat sultanas on the top, with a drizzle of pure apple juice. Put in the microwave and heat for about 90 seconds until the banana is hot and a little bit mushy. Then take it out, put a dollop of thick natural yoghurt on the top, and drizzle a little Agave syrup over it all. Stuff face.

PuggyMum · 17/01/2013 13:53

Hmm, not sure why I can't see it now but I was sure I posted earlier!

I hope you are feeling better Fortified and Terra, at least you have an official start point now, that's not as high as you thought...

I don't feel like I have lost weight this week but I do feel like I have started getting my shape again - I was over on my points all weekend but will finish the week within the allowance. When I look back at the weekend, I was certainly nowhere near as 'bad' as usual.

As a little incentive for the weekend we are at 67.5lbs lost!

PuggyMum · 17/01/2013 13:57

I'm so gonna try that pud Boffinmum!!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 17/01/2013 22:25

I have had a bit of a shite day so have succumbed to the midish week wine. Supper was delicious and healthy.

PuggyMum · 18/01/2013 12:47

I weighed in this morning as I won't be home from work till late. Half a pound off. I'm quite pleased though as I had no weekly points left and used 6 activities!!

I'm out tomorrow night for a friends birthday so that's my only temptation this week!

Have a great weekend!!

BoffinMum · 18/01/2013 18:48

Personal training today
Can't afford it but I want thighs like a Supermodel. Not that I am unrealistic or anything, you understand. Grin

Guitargirl · 18/01/2013 19:18

This will be a challenging weekend for me, SIL is staying, she drinks like a fish so there is always an open bottle of wine on the table and I find having guests stressful which always makes me want to eat, eat and eat!!

OneSliceOfSwissCheese · 18/01/2013 19:33

Well done Puggy :)

TaggieCampbellBlack · 18/01/2013 20:25

Hello all.

Hope the cold isn't getting yoo much and making you turn to the carbs/fat/cake/gin.

I'm now day 18 with no cheese or booze. Skin is still crap. And my cheese cravings are quite strong.

Have a good weekend. shovelling snow will be good exercise.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 18/01/2013 21:09

Evening all.

Well done Puggy at the loss.

Guitargirl, drink one glass wine and then one glass water that might help.

Lucky you Boffin with the personal trainer. I need to lose a couple of stone and then do the work gym (for a prison it is well stocked) the gym instructors are ex PTI's.

Taggie you are a better person than I am.

Had a bad day at work yesterday and drank wine last night, lost weight this morning but haven't been brilliant today but have stuck to water tonight, and have a plan for the rest of the weekend. Wine will be drunk tomorrow as taking DD and 4 of her friends bowling (hopefully) for her birthday so will need wine after that Grin

Guitargirl · 19/01/2013 11:26

I went to the pub last night and managed the whole night on two lime and sodas! This is absolutely unheard of for me (except for when am ill) but I am determined to get to the end of January with no booze! Only 14 more days to go...Hmm.

I tried shred level 2 yesterday, am totally incapable of doing the strength exercises but the cardio is more interesting than level 1. DP said this morning that he could see that I have lost weight. This is usually the point at which I 'treat' myself with something though and then it all goes downhill from then on. DP has suggested some 'nice juice'. JUICE IS NOT A TREAT!!

OneSliceOfSwissCheese · 19/01/2013 13:01

Hullo all,

I'm impressed with your will power Guitargirl. I caved and had a glass of wine last night as my FIL had brought a bottle round.

I'm still feeling quite motivated not to slip too far off my MFP allowance. I put a jumper on yesterday that felt a bit looser and more flattering than it had done for a few months.
