I am watching you are what you eat whilst eating a kit Kat!

Ha.

No shake!

And still within my daily Calorie limit.

WaitingForMe · 17/01/2013 16:29

I never wore my maternity trousers again after giving birth as they were immediately far too big. I bought some cheap jeans from Primark in a 12 and a 14. Got into the 12s today and they fit my legs/thighs but are a but tight around the waist.

I seem such an odd shape now as all the walking has got my legs back but my belly is just a lump of jelly Hmm

CandyPop · 17/01/2013 17:19

so.... I have been avoiding this thread Blush after the first enthusiastic couple weeks I have fallen off the wagon and have been eating a pile of rubbish. Haven't bee. On any walks cause it's goddamn cold but I guess it's no excuse if I wrap up warm.

So please someone slap me on my hand and pass on some more inspirational low cal wast to make recipes :D

Gonna go ack up and catch up on the thread!

GoatBongosAnonymous · 17/01/2013 19:01

Am doing better on the losing weight than the eating healthily, bizarrely enough. Confused perhaps this is due to Babygoat being at the age when he is constantly on the go, and also heavy to lug in the carrier!
Far too much sugar. Must stop with the ice cream and chocolate - no hope of no wine after fifteen dry months.

NanoNinja · 17/01/2013 21:01

candy, I'm pretty much lost it for the last week or two. Diet not awful, but am indulging far too often - bread, dark choc and alcohol. Need to take myself in hand...

NotSoNervous · 17/01/2013 21:46

Waves at pasties Smile

I'm on day 4 and I haven't had any chocolate, I don't think I've ever gone this long so in pleased with myself, I'm dying for cake though Sad anyone have any recipes for healthy cake? actually just hit me! Healthy and cake in the same sentence

I've got beef brisket to in the slow cooker tomorrow, it's a new recipe so looking forward to trying it, I'm going to have new potatoes with it too but not sure if I can put them in or just cook them separately and add when serving? Don't want them to go mushy

VisualiseAHorse · 17/01/2013 22:08

Candy, just wrap up warm and go out for a walk! You'll feel soooooo much better when you get in!!

NotSoNervous - have you tried vege cakes? There's a couple of good recipies in the River Cottage 'cake' Handbook. There's these little fairy cakes, made with carrots and other veg. Very yummy.

OH has just bought home 3 Creme Eggs. They are a little prize for getting to Level 2 of the shred! I've eaten one so far. The others are mocking me from the fridge.

NotSoNervous · 17/01/2013 22:50

I haven't tried them visualise but deffo will, cake was my guilty 4am feed pleasure

Iheartpasties · 18/01/2013 01:38

g'ah, just had some coca-cola again. i'm soo weak this week.

Iheartpasties · 18/01/2013 02:01

well done to those who are doing well! and sending good vibes for of you who, like me, are struggling this week. we cant all be perfect all the time so we just gotta try our best!

I think this week i've been too carby - so will try and lay off the bread this weekend, and avoid the pasta. It's all a balancing act - dh has been cooking and im so greatful i just eat whatever he puts in front of med ands its been a whole loada pasta this last 3 nights.

GTbaby · 18/01/2013 02:08

Tip toe in behind candy. Hope noone noticed my absence

Not even opened shred DVD!
No walks apart to McDonaldsBlush

Holiday in 5 weeks Sad wana look good. Gota slap myself round the face a few times.
Rubbish at my water goal rubbish at my breakfast goal.

Fresh start NOW.

utopian99 · 18/01/2013 04:54

Planning on eyeing exercise dvds in next few days, then finding time somehow. DS doesn't nap for long if not being held at the mo (3 weeks), so may be doing fits and starts. Getting an hour's walk a day in though!

Not doing so well on lack of chocolate though, used to only like dark and since giving birth have been veering towards milk, much to dh's delight as he likes it too. We now have a family sized block of dairy milk eyeing me from the fridge...

Sophiathesnowfairy · 18/01/2013 16:36

Not doing too bad today. I keep tripping up over a small glass of wine with dinner though.

Those of you who have the hairy dieters book we did the cassoulet last night and it was a taste sensation. Perfect for days like this.

So today:

Porridge
1/4 of a Carmel shortbread thing
Bans on nimble
Apple
Crumpet
Gammon and new pots for tea.

That's ok isn't it?

kirrinIsland · 18/01/2013 20:22

GT my Shred DVD hasn't made it out if the box yet either Blush

I have been pretty rubbish this week - coke and chocolate have featured heavily. Must try harder!

RichManPoorManBeggarmanThief · 19/01/2013 00:23

I've been struggling these past days too. DD is a truly appalling sleeper (nearly 6 months and sleeps 7pm to 5am with 3 wake ups in the middle). DS is perfecting the "terrible twos" with non-stop tantrums, whinging and crying. Nothing I do is ever right. Just peed off with motherhood this week and need chocolate and coffee to soothe my battered soul Grin

Trying to just maintain this week.

utopian99 · 19/01/2013 03:13

Did well wed/thurs, lost another lb and in celebration destroyed all my good efforts by having pizza with chips this eve (normally have it with salad.) Added insult to injury having chocolate cake mixture for pudding. Argh.

Iheartpasties · 19/01/2013 09:24

Hi all. I had chips for lunch! Eek. We were out and it was all that was on offer. We went to the zoo and it's just so great to get out as a family on the weekend that it's just easier to get on and get out without faffing about making packed lunch. Anyway I did heaps of walking. Don't know what the scales will say.

I have been on a 'domestic cheats' thread today trying to get tips to get the flat more organised. It's a work in progress!! But we've got friends coming over tomorrow so I'll burn a few calories doing housework tomorrow!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 19/01/2013 12:32

Where is this domestic cheats thread....

NotSoNervous · 19/01/2013 12:40

Ouch for the sleep rich you deserve some choc

Oo domestic cheats thread? That s got my attention

I haven't had any chocolate or sweets for 6 days! Sunday is going to be abit of a treat day so going to make brownies i think. I don't think I've ever gone 6 days without sweets so I'm feeling very proud and tomorrow is also weigh day

Sophiathesnowfairy · 19/01/2013 13:56

Well done nervous that is a mega achievement. I still have the odd kitkat!

pikz · 19/01/2013 19:10

Sophiathesnowfairy · 20/01/2013 07:42

Must do better.

NotSoNervous · 20/01/2013 08:28

Good job pikz

I'm a week in and have lost 2lb was hoping for a stone but gotta start somewhere

RichManPoorManBeggarmanThief · 20/01/2013 11:18

Just been to my friends DD's first birthday party. She made the most amazing b'day cake- a really dense almond sponge with delicious buttercream. Ate my own bodyweight in cake. Now feel sick and slightly dreading the weigh in tomorrow. Ah well. Tomorrow's another day.
