blondes how's your dh?

pretty/piste must be really weird without dd/ds around!

smokinaces · 22/02/2011 18:59

Trimmer, got tomorrow off. DS1 went to my mums for 2 days, DS2 is in daycare so his nursery still open. Worked the last two days like a lunatic as short staffed. But upside is had to have cold lunches (salads) and no time to snack so have stuck to the diet loads in the last 2 days!

got that stressed out Tuesday evening feeling, am chilling with a hot chocolate and debating whether to exercise or not tonight.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 22/02/2011 19:58

I really don't like DD being away, although am getting lots of texts. I have told her that if she is texting it must be lengthy and detailed because each text is costing us £1!! She is having an amazing time, they were doing powder off piste ( sighs with envy ) and the instructor had taken them to do some freestyle - grinding rails and half pipes. I just wish I could see her doing this!! She is a very lucky girl.

Have just run 4.7K so I am very nearly at my 5K target and actually I could have gone on longer, which is great. I now have two days of between runs, so will next go on Friday.

I am aiming for a STS this week. I find school hols hard to manage as I think we all do!

GT, if it's not you and me who chat, then who could it possibly be?!!

smokinaces · 22/02/2011 20:13

not me piste. honest.

Blush
smokinaces · 22/02/2011 20:13

watching Junior Aussie masterchef. Wow. Those kids can cook. and some bloody nice stuff. Yum.

GettinTrimmer · 22/02/2011 21:33

It's fatal when I watch foodie programmes, before xmas I watched Rick Stein then Nigella and snacking followed

smokinaces · 22/02/2011 21:58

yup trimmer. same happened. watched it and ate a whole load of crisps. low fat ones but still.

was ok yesterday as watched whilst on the stepper.

looks like masterchef is resigned to exercise nights!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/02/2011 10:04

Hello lovelies! :)

I have been big and brave & taken DD shopping this morning...longest trip out of the house (Day 8 of PT) she was really good. Went to toilet twice! :) V proud of her, she's getting the hang of it now! First day she's been in anything other than joggers & old pyjamas!!

Did have a sneaky blueberry muffin whilst out! But will only have a chicken noodle soup & ryvita for lunch!

Blondes - Glad DH is better, fingers crossed for no more bleeds!

Prettyfly - welcome! :o

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/02/2011 16:45

well done babybebe :)

smokinaces · 23/02/2011 21:01

girls, kick me, beat me, restrain me!

had a hellish day with work yesterday, and with DS1 today and have sought comfort in food.

am gutted as just cant help it.

tell me not to slip back into my old ways.

can see me going to bed at 7pm with the kids just to avoid the kitchen.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 23/02/2011 22:05

Piste steps up to the mark and punches Smokin very hard on the nose.
"Happy to oblige!"
Don't bloody do it Smokin. Step away from the kitchen!!
You've worked too hard just to chuck it all in now. Take deep breaths and don't let your DS drive you bonkers!

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/02/2011 23:31

smokin we all have bad days, so forget about about today and starts a fresh tomorrow x

GettinTrimmer · 24/02/2011 09:01

I'm saying nothing... Blush smokin we'll both come on here when the munchies threaten, just typing it out makes you think twice. Hope you are having a better day

I've been saving milk bottles to make elephants, my friend is unable to come over today so in town for cappuccino with the dc (NO CAKE) then making elmers.

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/02/2011 09:55

elmer made out of milk bottles?

pic please when mad :)

just had sugar puffs for breakie

rivitta, dairylea lf cheese and chicken for lunch

not sure about tea and body combat tonight

im hoping to sts tomorrow - been out so much and drank far too much wine/snowballs/ate cheese/bad stuff/butter 'dribbles' this week at friends

RatherBeOnThePiste · 24/02/2011 10:31

GT - do you mean plastic pint size milk bottles with the little handle? If so I have seen elephants made and they are very clever!

If you mean glass bottles, then I haven't a clue what you're on about!!!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 24/02/2011 10:37

I had a lovely time yesterday as I spent my big fat voucher that I got for Christmas for White Stuff. I'd saved it because initially after Christmas they had a big sale on and it was all winter stuff, so I decided to wait for their spring collection. And it was fab-u-lous!!!

Got two tunic type tops, one cardi, one top plus a scarfy accessory thingy.

And I also had to say to the lady - "I think I shall need this in a smaller size!"

Satisfaction!!!

bebejones · 24/02/2011 10:38

Elmers sound great...post a pic please, we get through so much milk it'd be great to make something with DD from the bottles!

Not very hopeful for a loss here 2moro. Plus DH has a big work launch do Sat morning & I was asked to make big fancy cake! Then last night got lumbered with making canapes! Hmm So there will be 10 tonne of food in my house over the next couple of days, must resist....Hmm

Souping it here again today. Not feeling tip top & just want to go back to bed...not going to happen though!

GettinTrimmer · 24/02/2011 10:39

Yes that's exactly what I mean piste.

dd dropped the camera so will try and get pics on my phone. I don't even know how to upload pics (technophobe!) about time I learnt.

dd made one at school, she said she did the cutting herself and as we do so little craft at home (I change the subject when she mentions it!...) thought it's about time I did some more as they enjoy it.

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/02/2011 15:18

bebe i dont think im gonna have a loss either, be happy to sts tbh

trimmer blondes wanna see elephant Grin

GettinTrimmer · 24/02/2011 16:09

They look easy to make that's why I am attempting it Grin

We haven't done any more Elmers today, after coming back from playing I had to do housework, have to get on with more of it now, but little friend coming round tomorrow for a couple of hours we can do one each then.

Wow piste on having to ask for a smaller size Smile

RatherBeOnThePiste · 24/02/2011 16:50

prettybird · 24/02/2011 18:27

Went shopping today with dh to get a dress for Saturday's ball (FIL's funeral et al put paid to the final bit of dieting required to get into my Nicole Fahri dress :(). My dad had given me £75 in John Lewis vouchers for Christmas "to get something slinky", so my thinking was that I could treat myself.

Got this strapless red number in a 14 (initially the girls couldn't/wouldn't do it up, so got me a 16 which was ridiculously loose, so having tried on a number of other 14s which were OK, I thought I'd give it another go on my own, having remembered how I used to do up awkward side zips all those years when I lived on my own Wink)

I have an appointment to get my hair put up on Saturday (it is short-ish bob at the moment, so I can't do it myself). I'll try it on again tonight to think about how to accessorize it. The JL web-site suggests classic pearls, which I have - and I could wear my nice pearl drop earings that I wore at my wedding :)

I don't have red evening shoes, and my gorgeous LK Bennet shoes are purple, so I'll just have to wear a pair of smart black suede work shoes (like these with a wee black "jewel" on the front, but with a slightly chunkier heel which actually makes them look less dressy)
