2011 Paul Mckenna

Deafworm · 01/01/2011 11:16

Hi all

I wondered if anyone else was planning to follow Paul mckenna this year and lose their weight?

im currently 16st13 and intend to end the year a fit toned 10st. im a bit hit and miss with following the golden rules but when i do i have seen results so from today i will follow it and get the results i want.

as well as the weight loss with paul mckenna i intend to

Beardo the just dance 2 fitness thing every day till my husband (RAF) flies out to the middle east around april

Bear do the couch to 5k plan and run race for life this year

Bearstart the 30 day shred when dh goes away and repeat it till he comes home (approx 4 months)

I also have one of those magic leg trainers coming on home approval so will have a play with that and see if its worth keping, apart from that i will reassess my fitness in august when he gets home and come to some decisions on how to go forward with that then but for now these seem like reasonable goals, especially when they're on top of really following the golden rules.

so anyone else following 'the rules' this year and going to join me with their aims?

the book for anyone curious about it, though i got mine from my local works type bookshop for less than £5 thats less than one weeks ww/sw/etc subs to try it out and its honestly the most sensible weightloss plan ive ever looked at

Aww what a moving story x

missmakesstuff · 07/02/2011 21:29

Think I will be there after 9 - train times are a right pain in the arse, so its probably going to be a rush. oh well.

whomovedmychocolate · 07/02/2011 21:30

My train times are horrific - 6:15 is my train to London Shock I live half an hour from the station.

It's the getting to Hammersmith bit which takes the longest though!

Deafworm · 07/02/2011 21:40

Wow you lot have been busy :o

hi purplemiffy if it makes you feel better i have 6stone to lose so you aren't the heaviest here :)

cant believe its coming round so quickly again. i've just popped next door in DH's hoody which i normally refuse to wear as it is stretched ridiculously and not only does it fit so well i've not taken it off in the hour ive been back in my house Blush but my next door neighbour commented on how much she could see a difference in me. don't know what my weight is currently but have lost 6 inches off my waist up till Friday, 4 from my bust, 2 from my hips, and 1.5 each from my upper arm and thigh which i'm pretty pleased about!

fairly boozy weekend, had a partylite party on saturday and took 9 bottles to the bottle bank on sunday! but went on swimming and despite a table full of snacks i didnt eat too much during the party, probably a bit too much yesterday but back to good today i think.

really looking forward to the Apollo now.

Lovely story WMMC, so PM is a good guy and not just in it for the dosh.

FGM · 07/02/2011 22:32

One week in to this and I think I'm just starting to believe. Hope this makes sense . I am starting to take on board a bit of what PM is saying. Anyone else relate to this? I may be a slow-burner- anyone else got off to a slow start but doing well now?

Intrigued by the seminar- have a great time and report back soon.

NotOlive · 07/02/2011 23:02

Wow - incredible story wwmc.

whomovedmychocolate · 07/02/2011 23:02

FGM - it took me three times doing it and not really believing it to get to this point - so yes I can relate to that.

Deafworm - wow that's fantastic - what a reduction in size.

NotOlive · 07/02/2011 23:03

BTW Purple Miffy has my spare ticket.

NotOlive · 07/02/2011 23:10

Has anyone noticed how many user names there are on this thread that mention food?

AlwaysbeOpralFruitstome
Whomovemychocolate
Nevergoogledragonbutter Hmm
NotOlive! - (I'm going to have to switch to my normal name at some point....).

Obsessed with food or what?

NotOlive · 07/02/2011 23:11

Well that bolding failed spectacularly...

NotOlive · 07/02/2011 23:16

Oh and ppeatfruit (at least that one's healthy)

whomovedmychocolate · 07/02/2011 23:20

Emboldening only works at the start of words. Wink

WMMC125 · 07/02/2011 23:23

There you go then. No more chocolate. Just my goal weight.

NotOlive · 07/02/2011 23:32

nah - i prefer the original - much more witty.

(I've never read Who Moved My Cheese - but have heard it's good).

You can have choc if you fancy it anyway!

WMMC125 · 07/02/2011 23:33

I don't like chocolate though - this is the irony of my username. Hmm

Well CBA to change it tonight will live with it for a few days, see how it feels and if I can come up with something else.

NotOlive · 07/02/2011 23:43

I was complaining btw - just making an observation. No need to change as we are all "relaxed around food"!

NotOlive · 07/02/2011 23:45

125 lbs I presume... Guessing not kilos - not even I'm that big Wink

WMMC125 · 07/02/2011 23:48

125lbs is 8st 13lbs. I'm currently umm probably about 72 kilos if you work in kilos.

NotOlive · 08/02/2011 00:05

I was definitely teasing - realised from previous posts that was probably the case. Smile

Sorry just realised post of 23.43 should read: "I wasn't complaining...."

PurpleMiffy · 08/02/2011 07:54

Does anyone know what time the seminar is expected to finish? Need to look into train times. (Thanks to NotOlive x)

UrsulaBuffay · 08/02/2011 09:01

Oh are you going Purple? How lovely! My back is fucking agony this morning. On the upside, this is definitely working. Weight has shifted down slightly but moreover I feel free.

You are all doing brilliantly, well done Deafworm! Such a boost when someone notices I bet.

And lovely story WMMC, do keep the old name I like it. And I have had some chocolate this week- one of those caramel shortbreads but the biscuit was boring so I left it. I mean, c'mon- I left it!

:)

UrsulaBuffay · 08/02/2011 09:23

Must just say a quick thank you to NotOlive (what is your usual name??) for offering me her spare ticket, unfortunately I couldn't make it but will be thinking of you all having your slooooooooooooooooow picnic on the 19th!

NicknameTaken · 08/02/2011 10:21

Loving the story about PM, WMMC.

I'd love to be part of a lunchtime meet-up - I ended up buying a ticket, so may be sitting far away (luckily bought the ticket and train ticket before I found out I was being made redundant in May...).

I've decided to eat more protein and less starch. I don't think it conflicts with PM - I still eat what I feel like, I just make sure to offer myself some high-protein options. I'm hopeful this will help, because even though I feel better around food, the scales haven't budged (maybe they're stuck!)
