Hi all.

Wondering if anyone is interested in joining a new thread for October starters, specifically for the tablet/pill. I have had a quick search and can’t seem to find one.

I have previously been on Mounjaro which I found incredible, I switched briefly to Wegovy Jabs but I stopped due to personal reasons. Looking forward to getting back on track. I’ve ordered the tablets and they’re being delivered tomorrow.

I am slightly concerned about the fasting element. I tend to take a pint glass of juice to bed so I will need to switch to water and equally I’m usually straight to the kettle in the morning for my cuppa while the kids eat breakfast!

Looking forward to hearing people’s experiences and sharing the journey 😊

I started taking Wegovy tablets 3 days ago, after weeks of thinking about it (mostly scared of side effects). So far no side effects at all. Like you I love my coffee first thing but think that waiting 30 minutes will hopefully be worth it! I get through it by planning all the new clothes I’ll be able to buy 😂.
I haven’t got too much to lose … about a stone and a half.
Good luck! I’ll definitely be following 🙂

Potterson13 · 07/10/2026 08:04

I think I’m just going to have take the tablet as soon as I open my eyes and hope for the best 🤣 I’d like to lose about 2.5 stone. They’re being delivered today so tomorrow will be the day!

Which provider are you using if you don’t mind me asking?

I’m using Medexpress

Potterson13 · 07/10/2026 11:34

I’m using Voy. I used them for my MJ and they were great

I have the tablets by the bed and take first thing, then generally by time I’ve wee’d and potentially showered and then by time I get downstairs I’m ok to put the kettle on and be able to make a hot drink and then by time it’s drinkable it’s ok time wise! Although DH does tell me I might as well make my drinks with cold water the temperature I drink them 🤣

I switched from Mj to wegovy pills just over a month ago and so far no side effects, potentially slower than when started mj but loosing and I take that as a win.

Potterson13 · 14/10/2026 22:39

I’ve just finished day 2. They didn’t come until Thursday and I was going away for the weekend on Friday so I didn’t want to start before then.

No real side effects for me as yet. Perhaps ever so slightly less food noise but nothing major and that’s probably just in my head!

@Potterson13 Thank you for starting this thread, I was hoping for an October one. I am day 12 of the wegovy pills from Medexpress. I have a good 3 stone to lose really, I have a bmi of 31.

I felt a bit sickly the first couple of days but not enough to affect the day, just a bit off but have not had any other adverse effects.

I've been trying to lose weight with a calorie deficit so have been tracking on nutracheck and I go to the gym regularly. I struggle with doing really well then just falling face first into cake and biscuits and undoing all the good work.

I'm absolutely thrilled to finally see the scales moving and I genuinely have had no cravings for sweet stuff.
So far I have lost 4.6 lbs. I will be thrilled if I continue to lose a couple of pounds a week.

I tend to wake briefly around 6ish to give my dog her heart tablet because she needs an hour before food so I take the pill then and we both go back to sleep.

I read on here that the longer the better before eating or drinking with 90 mins being the optimum and thats been working well for me.

sleepingflower · 15/10/2026 14:40

Can I join you?! I took my first pill this morning and waited about 45 mins before having a cup of tea. I did feel a bit sick so had my breakfast (normally I wait until late morning) and that helped. I’d like to lose about 2.5 stone. I’vr never tried weight loss treatment before as I thought your BMI had to be over a certain amount and I wasn’t quite fat enough!!

TheBrickCritic · 18/10/2026 09:13

Please can I join. I started MJ Jan 2026 bmi 30 and lost over 3 stone. I crept up on holiday in July but then lost again. and continued to maintain over september on 5mg MJ. I am on Wegovy pill for maintenance and started on Saturday. I am at the top of my weight range of 5lb so hoping to maintain or drop a pound or 2 over the month. No side effects yet and supplier allowed me to go from 5mg to 4mg wegovy tablet without needing consulation/questions. Good luck everyone.

I've just taken my first tablet this morning. I tend to eat breakfast later in morning so that shouldn't be too much of an issue for me.
Hoping to lose at least a stone if possible. Never used any weight loss aid before, was always fairly slim until peri just piled it in all of a sudden. Dont even look like myself anymore:(

user1471543094 · 18/10/2026 10:37

Got mine from MedExpress and have a code if anyone interested

Annwithout · 19/10/2026 12:47

Hello, I hope I'm ok to join in too?
Had my last Mounjaro jab last Tuesday, so have my Wegovy tablet ready at my bedside for tomorrow. I often wake around 4am, so hoping I can remember to take it then, as long as it's 8 hours after I've eaten. I've been on Wegovy, then Mounjaro, back to Wegovy, back to Mounjaro jabs. I've almost managed to maintain my losses, 4 stones, but around 6 pounds has crept back on. Good luck to us all.

seasally · 19/10/2026 13:51

@Annwithout Were you on wegovy jabs last time? It will be interesting to see how you compare if this is the first time.

I'm 2 weeks in now but starting to feel a bit picky today, if I had biscuits or chocolate in the house I for sure would be on the nibble. I havent felt like this in the previous fortnight. I'm not sure if its because I'm feeling a bit out of sorts in general or if I'm losing the "magic" 😂

YummyBelicious · 19/10/2026 14:42

I would love to know if anyone experiences hair loss with the wygovy tablet. I took the jab last year and only stopped as lost so much hair.
Have put a stone back on, so thinking about the tablets for that stone and then maintenance

Thanks

Yes, all have been on jabs before now. I'm very intrigued to see how different the pills are.

That's one of the things I'm worried about with the tablets. I had hair loss too with the Wegovy jabs, but I decided it was worth it in the end because the weight loss made such a difference to me.

I’m exactly the same!! I’m currently over 1.5 stone heavier than I was when 9 months pregnant (20 years ago) peri/menopause has a lot to answer for!!

Gottodosomething2026 · 20/10/2026 07:02

I'm 3 weeks in and I've lost 11 lbs. Have quite a bit to lose. Really happy with that. Had a couple of separate days where I had stomach problems but other than that, no issues. Feel a lot better generally.

seasally · 20/10/2026 10:06

That's encouraging, @Gottodosomething2026 Are you going to stay on 1.5 next month too?

That’s brilliant!! You mention stomach issues - I’ve noticed I’m definitely a bit bunged up (sorry tmi!) were your issues the same and did they get better?

Yeah lots of bloating on a couple of days and one day with a really dodgy belly. All been fine since then.

I bought a 3 month pack of 1.5, 4 and 9 so I'm going to move up. Hope it helps with the hunger as I'm starving despite lots of protein and 1200-1800 calories a day.

Slambdunk · 20/10/2026 15:33

Hi - I started on Sunday - been thinking about it for ages but was too scared to start. It was the shock of an extra 10lb weight gain over the last 6 months that made me finally do it.

I haven't told anyone in real life so it will be great to have somewhere to chat about it freely.

I have been bombarded with ads on social media telling me about the awful side effects - apparently i'm going to loose all my hair and my face will collapse unless I buy these very expensive supplements.

Like an earlier poster I haven't had weight problems before - in fact I struggled to stay at a healthy weight from the other direction - but in the ten years since menopause I've gradually piled on and additional 4 stone and if I don't stop it now that'll be another stone by next summer.

seasally · 20/10/2026 17:27

I think if we do it slowly it shouldn’t affect hair loss.
It seems most adverse results - loss of muscle, tone and hair are a result of fast weight losses.
I did a very restrictive diet a few years ago, Kick Start Weight Loss , it was fast and impressive results but totally unsustainable and I lost so much hair. It really hasn’t recovered so I dread losing any more!
