Is it ok to do that? Everything I’ve read says not to?

Should be fine I think after you get yourself settled on 4mg.

REDB99 · 11/09/2026 16:34

Day 1 for me today. I felt sick this morning and actually thought I was going to throw up but I didn’t. Bad headache as well. I’ve got ginger kombucha and ginger tea on hand. I’ve eaten a lot less already today but think that’s the nausea rather than appetite suppression. I’ve got a stone to lose, will weigh myself after one week.

Apsidistra · 11/09/2026 16:49

PenCreed · 11/09/2026 15:11

12 days in and I’ve noticed that my appetite has picked up a bit again. I’ve got a week or so to go before I have to update my dose for next month (it took me a week to start after it arrived!) and I’m not sure whether to up the dose or stick. 4mg is more expensive too!

I would go up to 4mg. I was in your position, my suppression wore off just after ordering and I now have a pack of 1.5mg that I don’t really want.

user1478639495 · 11/09/2026 17:07

Hi all, I’d like to join the support please ☺️ I’m 5ft5 14stone 4lbs nearly as heavy as when I was 9 months pregnant 🤦‍♀️ have been trying everything and nothing is working, it’s like my body has frozen, I’ve done gym, HIIT, calorie counting, fasting, you name it I’ve tried it. I also am suffering from an inflammatory medical issue so I’m hoping this will help that problem and reset my body and kick it into shape. I’m so low in confidence and the constant food noise is insane, I hope this works because nothing else has worked. I have my jab in the fridge ready to go, going to do it after dinner in a bit, so nervous 😬 this goes against everything I thought I was but I’m so desperate to get my health and life back. nervous about side effects as well but trying to not think about those and bring any on by over thinking it.

SweetLathyrus · 11/09/2026 18:28

Evening all, I posted this originally on the other Wegovy pill thread, then realised I had intended to put it here because I started on the same day as @Autumnfun1 !

Starting weight was 66.7kg (sorry can only work in metric!), and I'm just 1.54 m.

My main issue has been putting on weight after successive knee injuries, and falling into increasingly bad sugar addiction.

I've had a couple of bouts of mild nausea particularly after drinking coffee but no other side effects.

For me the best thing has been that the siren song of crisps and ice cream disappeared almost straight away, as did any thought of a glass (or three) of wine. If anything, the suppression has been too strong, so I need to plan my meals more carefully going forward.
Anyway, weigh-in yesterday morning, I wasn't able to stand on the scales without crutches before, and I'm 65kg, rather more of a loss than I'd like if I'm honest, but I'm sure it'll even out.

MulberryFresser · 11/09/2026 21:47

I had a day off yesterday and was fine. Didn’t know how I would feel today / worst day of my period - took the pill anyway and still ate a lot but not as unhealthily as usual. Back to my usual routine tomorrow. Period is no better or worse than I’m accustomed to.

MulberryFresser · 11/09/2026 21:48

Nb I am really constipated so am upping the water.

Autumnfun1 · 11/09/2026 22:06

Evening hope everyone is well. Weight loss is a bit slow but feeling the suppression will be patient 🙂 really want to exercise more but this next few weeks is going to be busy at work hopefully after get into a better routine

I started in July and lost almost a stone but I got a bug and was wary of taking it when my stomach had been bad so I’ve been off for a few weeks. I’ve been craving sugar badly, taken tablet again this morning so fingers crossed to
get back on track !

Hope your feeling better. Could I ask what dose you are on currently? That is great news about losing a stone

SW 15st 13lb

Feel like i have a long way to go, i did WW before but that was before kids. So I know i can do it. Hoping these wee pills will give me that wee bit of support i need to stick to a healthier eating routine

TwilightAb · 12/09/2026 09:43

Day 4 for me and tiredness has hit. Anyone else?

UncleColm · 12/09/2026 11:59

My second week weigh in and another 1.5 lbs down. I was hoping for more but I'll take it. So...6lbs in 2 weeks.

Still feeling a low appetite and no side effects. I don't think I've been extra tired on them?

I do miss the enjoyment I got from having treats - it was an easy little way of rewarding myself at the end of the day/kids in bed/ it's the weekend. I've got seven up zero in the fridge but I only ever want a little bit of it. And I used to love diet coke - we went to the pub this week and that's what I ordered and I couldn't finish it!

I started at 93+ kg and am hoping to be eighty something kg next Saturday - I haven't seen the scales start with that number in ages. I'm okay with the slow and steady weight loss - I plan on staying in these tablets for at least six months.

panicovernow · 12/09/2026 12:25

Day 1 for me today. Feeling a heightened alert for any symptoms, noticed dry mouth and slight nausea already. Took the pill at 7.15 and held off having food or drink until 9 once back from walking the dog. Hopefully will relax into it over the coming days, and find my routine.

Apsidistra · 12/09/2026 12:45

Day 25 of 1.5mg. Ate out last night and couldn’t finish my meal, suppression has obviously improved again. I did read it can vary depending on where in our cycle we are. I’ve just ovulated so maybe that has something to do with it.

Anyone done the injections but find the tablets better and easier to tolerate? I had to stop the injections as they made me feel awful. I suppose the tablets would be the same.

The oral & injected drug work in a very similar way, but sometimes bodies react differently to different routes. You could also try a tablet every other day if having side-effects.

toomanyhobbies · 12/09/2026 15:47

I’m just coming the end of my fist week on 1.5. I have some unpleasant side affects. I feel nauseous after taking the tablet and for a few days was getting a headache straight after taking it.

I feel sick in the mornings after taking it and it doesn’t seem to ease up till I’ve eaten breakfast.

Monday I felt sick all morning and was actually sick - felt much better after.

Ive also been hit with incredible tiredness a d my head just feels foggy!

I don’t seem to have lost anything this week which I’m disappointed with as DH is on it ans lose everyweek.

I have felt my appetite has been suppressed but I think I need to eat little and often to combat the sickness. And I’m not craving sweet things which is good.

TwilightAb · 12/09/2026 19:31

So 4 days in, I have a low level headache and tiredness. No huge suppression yet but what I have noticed is my chocolate cravings have gone! This is something I really struggle with. I had one small chocolate today and just didn't enjoy it. Has anyone else had this?

I’ve swapped to the little 150ml canned drinks, far less wastage and you obviously drink much less of the sweetened drink. I’ve not touched Coke since I started the pills so I’ve I swapped to little tins of tonic water, lemonade or Fever Tree pink grapefruit. I also sip water throughout the day.

I hope this is the case! This weekend i've felt like there was no suppression at all, and I'm only on day 12. I don't know my cycle any more as I'm on desogestrel and don't get periods as a result (absolutely bonus, tbh). I definitely noticed the suppression at the beginning of the week and not so much at the end, so we'll see how the next few days go. I'm trying to make sure I only weigh myself weekly...

REDB99 · 13/09/2026 09:29

I’m on day 3 and the nausea is bad this morning. I did eat out yesterday and wonder if it’s linked to eating a larger meal rather than little and often. My cravings for sweet things have completely disappeared which is a good sign as this is what I struggle with. I’ve always eaten healthy meals but the snacking on sweet treats has been out of control for a long time now. I’m going to take one of the anti-nausea pills I was sent with my weight loss tablets and hope it helps.

captainflash · 13/09/2026 09:41

Day 6 for me and still no side effects. I’m not sure what’s working and am having to be disciplined. Making better choices and trying to up my protein and fibre. Rather than relying on carbs!
Last night my husband made dinner and dished up. When he brought it in, I instantly knew it was too much and I wouldn’t be able to finish it. So portioned my plate in half and have saved the rest for lunch today. Normally, I finish my plate so I take that as a win!
Will weigh myself tomorrow and see how it’s gone

SweetLathyrus · 13/09/2026 11:35

@captainflash , I've also experienced that half of my previous 'normal' portions is as much as I can even consider eating.

This morning I had to make myself have breakfast (two crispbreads with brie and grapes).

@REDB99 , it's the absence of sugar cravings that I've really noticed as well. I really overdid the ice creams and lollies over the summer, and that just spiralled into wanting more and more sugary foods.

katedan · 13/09/2026 12:39

Week 5 and first week on 4mg, only lost 1lb which is the smallest loss overall but not too many side effects.
