I’ve had a fairly Rough night. I had to very quickly eat my lunch yesterday and had a fried egg on top. My stomach has been agony all night. It’s feeling a bit better this AM but I’ve literally had nothing to eat since yesterday lunch time and I am still not hungry. I’ve skipped today’s dose and will start again tomorrow when I’ve made better food choices.

amusedpyjamas · 08/09/2026 09:55

@Haalani feel for you I ate too much dinner last night and had stomach cramps and have been burping loads this morning. It wasn’t even a huge portion but quite stodgy cottage pie and veg. Feel horrible today. And really thirsty. Hope you are doing ok and feeling better soon. I’m also not wanting to eat at all.

Well that’s me in - taken my first tablet this morning!! 🤞🤞

I was supposed to start today but came on my period which massively impacts my digestion and makes me feel crap so will give it a few days before I start. Hope it goes well fir you!

Haalan · 08/09/2026 10:00

Thank you so much @amusedpyjamas - I have definitely improved. Like you, my lunch wasn’t too big, but it was oily and I had to eat it quickly- I think that’s what’s causing it.

Hope you’re feeling better shortly. Have you taken your tablet today?

Thanks yes definitely a better now. Having buffet type catered lunch at work today so hoping for some lighter options and at least portion control is easier. Glad you are doing better, too! And yes I did take my tablet.

I’m only 10 days in so early days but not sure I want to move to the higher dosage. Has anyone just stayed on 1.5 and successfully reached their goal?

You may find buscopan useful for stomach cramps. I've only had one bad bout since starting & it helped. I find fibre products such as Fybocalm or Holland & Barrett high fibre pills very soothing & take two every day as it helped a lot when I was having a rough time getting onto Mounjaro.

Oh really? Yea I’ve got some buscopan - I will try that next time. Hopefully there won’t be a next time though! Thank you so much for the tip!

Does anyone have any advice for the headaches? I started yesterday and within an hour had a banging headache and again today. No painkillers are touching it 😔

MIWillNeverLetYouDown · 08/09/2026 21:27

Started today! Got about 3.5 stone to lose

Autumnfun1 · 08/09/2026 21:42

Maybe worth checking with GP or pharmacist if have headaches. Only thing I can think of is increasing fluids. Sorry not much help it's not something experienced yet

I was planning to, I’m on day 21 of 1.5mg but the last 3 days I’ve felt hunger creeping back in and I’m having to consciously try to curb what I’m eating. I’ve already ordered and received a second month of 1.5mg so will see how it goes. I’ve a feeling I’ll need to increase next time I order.

katedan · 08/09/2026 21:53

I was on the prev thread, today is day 28 for me and day 1 on 4mg. So far i have lost 8lbs, i had lost 10lb but gained 2lbs last week when i was away. The last week on 1.5 stopped working for me and i started to eat more but hooefully 4mg will work better so i can lose more. No side effects so far.

Sw 11.2
Cw 10.8
Gw 9.13

Holdonasec · 08/09/2026 21:58

What is everyone doing regards supplements, excercise etc?

MulberryFresser · 08/09/2026 21:58

Day 16, have lost 1.5kg. No real side effects apart from nausea which can be treated with buscopan and fatigue which hits in after every gym workout or 9000 steps.

PenCreed · 08/09/2026 22:03

I did a lot of exercise already but tonight and last night I felt quite sick afterwards from overdoing it. Today I had more at lunchtime which meant I had more energy to get through my class but struggled to eat when I got home. The energy for cardio training was one of my concerns before starting so I’ll have to watch that quite carefully. Plus side, I’ve definitely burned a lot more calories than I’ve taken in!

katedan · 08/09/2026 22:08

Have continued to excercise but today on day 1 of 4mg i struggled in my class and felt quite weak so agree that is something i will need to monitor

Thanks sounds like I need to wait and make a decision closer to the time, hope you get on ok with month 2.

I started yesterday. 1.5mg through Med Express. Was surprised how quickly they came.
My weight is the highest it’s ever been (am 10kg heavier than I was full term with my son!) and I have to do something. I have to take two different medications for persistent / resistant high blood pressure, a minor heart condition and last blood test showed my cholesterol a little higher. There was a worry I had a mini stroke earlier this year- need a kick to get me back on track.
I haven’t told anyone. Husband and son are very anti WL medication and both think you can just move a bit more and eat less. Well, that’s hard in peri and when your body is trying to work around med regimes and a condition. And then DH opens wine with dinner and dishes up pudding!

Am going to give myself a three month kick start. I lost 2.5 stone before on weight watchers so I know I can do it. I just hate looking at myself right now

Good luck! I haven’t told anyone I’m taking them either. Dh even opened my package with them in last week and didn’t mention it. Don’t think he knew what they were 😂

One of the odd things about GLP 1s is that we don't always know how suppressed our appetite is. I felt suddenly exhausted & shaky when working overtime, ate two ryvita with cheese for carbs & calories, & felt much better within an hour. I just didn't have enough fuel for what I was doing.

TwilightAb · 09/09/2026 11:42

Day 1 for me. I haven't told my dh as I don't think he really gets it. I will, depending on how things go. I feel that after having had my second baby 5 years ago it is about time I reclaim my body back after years of pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Haalan · 09/09/2026 12:52

This is kicking my backside today. The suppression is really high and im
having to
force myself to ensure I get enough protein and fibre. I’ve only taken about 6 tablets so
far! Science is incredible!

UncleColm · 09/09/2026 14:19

I'm around day 10....it's going well, no side effects. I am still eating less, although I am having occasional sweet treats - but not as much as I would have had previously.

VictraBarca · 09/09/2026 19:45

So I’m at the end of day two and I feel like I’m starting to slow right down and kind of pick at things rather than eat without thought.

what’s more interesting for me is that before, I wouldn’t get hungry. I’d be ok and then I’d absolutely crash, I’d get the wobbles, hot sweats, hangry AF. Now this is most likely down to PCOS and insulin resistant level wonkery. However, this after noon, I had a mild hunger - all manageable. And I consciously thought ‘I’m going to watch this and see if the crash comes’. AND IT NEVER DID. Over an hour of mild hunger (I did eat something after a bit!) with no crash, no wobbles. Nothing. That has NEVER happened for me before.
