Struggling to get hold of my next 5mg pen

As the title says I have one dose of 5mg left which I'm due to take on the weekend, placed an order with Zava on the 14/8 which is still processing. Don't really know what to do now.

Do you have funds to buy another elsewhere and ask Zava to cancel?

Ashcroft have 5mg in stock.

I feel the need to say that I am not affiliated with this pharmacy...I keep mentioning them here only because I use them.

Op i would order somewhere else too. If they both get accepted then you have a spare, not a bad position to be in. Monj.co.uk have an up to date stock list avoid curate if you need ASAP. Reports from reddit are that pillsorted are approving reasonably quickly (not affiliated, have never used them, just want to find a solution for you).

Op I've just seen that Pillsorted have already put their prices up, so not the best option, sorry.

I had a problem getting mine. I went through the monj list filling in loads of consultations until I got one accepted who had stock. It was a bit of a pain but there is still stock out there.

I ordered with Zava on the 15th & haven’t heard anything. They have shut their phone lines down too! Looking on monj there seems to be quite a few with stock, oushk being the cheapest but I’m not sure how quickly you would get it from any supplier at the moment

I'm in the eact same position but for 12.5mg. If I don't hear anything by 12pm.im tempted to go to pillsorted.

I have now ordered from three suppliers and all three are awaiting approval. All three have taken my money though. They are via PayPal pay in three so not too hideous

no personal experience but I have heard that people are buying six months supply before exorbitant prices kick in. Trumpflation.

I'm having the same issue... I couldn't afford to order early this month and just got paid... Am down to my golden dose & can't get my next pen! This is the problem with people stockpiling!

Just keep trying other places, I definitely don't now have 5 pens in the fridge because of ordering from lots of different pharmacies before the price rises come in...................

Yes I too just want one pen, any pen. It feels like there are no pens out there now.

It's making me seriously reconsider carrying on. I am due to inject today. Not sure if I should push that back, microdose down to make the pen last longer or carry on as per normal and run out completely after taking my last 10mg dose next week?

I'm seeing from all suppliers I've checked that they aren't accepting orders except for existing patients most mentioning that they are already OOS... I'm with Oushk and it's just not letting me place the order as OOS. I just want 1 10mg pen... Not everyone can afford to buy multiple pens... I know I certainly can't.

The news of price rises was a gut punch as it was and may potentially be the end of my journey... but now I can't even get what I'm due before then.

I'm genuinely obese with a huge task ahead of me and finally found something that worked and made it feel manageable... and looks like my journey has been halted because of stockpiling...
This is a lifeline for some of us and not one that we can all afford easily... I can barely afford these pens but made sacrifices because my health is struggling.

It kills me that someone with a stone to lose for their holiday thinks that it's fair to stockpile when those of us that truly need it can't... Yes I sound bitter... because I am. I'm furious!

The people stockpiling are the same people who bought up all the loo roll during the Pandemic. So selfish.

So I used weprescribe last month but since the announcement they have stopped their special offers but my 10mg was out of stock anyway.
I looked at Medexpress who I used previously & they were in stock and cheaper so I've ordered from there.

This stressing out so much today. If I don't have any of the orders approved by lunchtime I'm going to try whoever has stock on Monj again and look to cancel orders if any of them turn up.

I'm also considering coming off..I have four stone to loose to even get near my top health bmi but I can't go back down to 2.5 and start again.

Why have they taken orders they know they can't forfil? I honestly think they just don't have stock to send and are delaying by not approving

Yes, it's looking a bit better than yesterday when most seemed to be out of stock. From what Oushk are saying, they are potentially getting more deliveries this week so that is probably the same for other suppliers also.

@Ashabeth You don’t know everyone else’s circumstances though, they may have put extra pens on credit cards or similar because going forward they won’t be able to afford otherwise. Buying extra pens has saved people hundreds of pounds in the long run. These people have been prescribed them legitimately so not just a stone to lose for their holiday and have done what they have to do so they can carry on with their journey as long as possible.

I don't blame anyone for buying extra even when I have no 'next pen' at all. I'd rather be in that position than mine. I just feel mad at myself that I didn't order religiously ever four weeks rather doing what I did and ordering just in time.

Say if they really do double in price or more? If you ordered even one extra you'd have saved hundreds.

I'm so pissed off with this situation but the blame isn't with our fellow Monj users. They didn't cause the panic. Neither did they control they foreseeable rush on orders and stock levels.

I will continue to be pissed with myself and deal with what I can control. Realistically one option has to be stopping sooner than I'd like.

My last rant was purely frustration... I'm sure most people are genuinely on the same journeys and need the injections of course... It's just very frustrating when you hear so many people that are on it and don't even look like they really need it. It's just the latest fad to them... and they seem to be the same people that say "oo I'm ok, I have several in the fridge"...

I know a lot of us are struggling with the price increases... and if I were in a position to, maybe I would have got an extra pen to help with the increases and maybe prolong my journey. But I'm not in the position to and a lot of people aren't... The problem we face now is that the people that REALLY can't afford to pay more, also are the people who won't have been able to stockpile... and as with covid, those least well off will feel the effects worst.

It's a very sad world that we live in... if there was no stockpiling, there would be no stock issue and yes we would feel the effects of the price rises but EVERYONE would feel it equally.
