Anyone ordered from Zava recently? (end May/June 2025)

I'm only ordering my 2nd MJ pen & swapped provider for a better price on 5mg, but am now having concerns that 'something' has gone very wrong with Zava / Zavamed within the last week or so?

Before i completed the order, it advised delays due to high demand but orders would be received within 4-6 days. Order confirmation then stated "Currently, our doctors are processing the majority of orders within 2-4 days. This is due to the high demand for our weight loss service at the moment. There is no need to message us, we’ll let you know if anything changes." I've since had an email advising that this is now 3-4 days & there's no need to contact them to chase up.

Which would be ok, but Trustpilot is suddenly swamped with negative reviews regarding delays & problems (also the same for OnlineDoctorAsda which I understand is also run by Zava). Majority of replies from Zava state "Unfortunately, currently we are going through an unprecedented demand and our doctors are busier than usual."

I've found info online stating that they've been purchased by another company within the last few days & the timing of this influx of issues, seems a little more than coincidental.

It's still just within the time stated but my order hasn't been reviewed as yet (as it's my 1st order with them, i can only hope all my details/photos etc. are ok) & even if processed tomorrow, I'm unlikely to receive it until Tues at the earliest (with how RM deliveries are here).

Has anyone ordered within the last 7-10 days & received their order ok? Thanks 😊

I am with Asda Online and my order is delayed as well. I ordered on May 31 and the order has always been processed previously within 24 hours including my first order.
I think there is a possibility that they are overrun with orders as Asda has reduced their cost significantly. The last pen I ordered was for £189 and now this month it is £148 for the same dose.
I have sent them a message and will post here if I get an answer or my order is processed.

Yes, I've ordered from Asda 1st June, order still processing. Hasn't taken this long in past so hopefully everything is OK. Agree prices are cheaper so maybe they are dealing with extra orders.

I placed an order with Zava (my fourth with them) on the 27th May. I received an email stating the doctors were taking 2-3 days to process orders.
My order was approved on the 29th of May and dispatched for delivery that same afternoon.
I received it on the 30th May.

I ordered last week on the Tue morning (2nd pen) had the same message as you which panicked me as I needed it for the Saturday! It arrived on the Friday morning.

A quick google reveals they have been purchased by a large American online pharmacy. The sale went through on the 3rd of June.
So yes, that could account for their current delay in orders.
I'm not due to order again for a few weeks, but wondering whether to bring my order forwards in case there are delays. But then I'd be adding to the chaos so not sure....

Thanks everyone ☺️. There's some reassurance knowing I'm not alone! Looks like I picked a bad time to place my 1st order, hopefully it will be resolved soon as I'm sure the new owners won't want this current level of negative reviews to continue for too long.

@Worriedmrs i messaged my current prescription (as I knew this would be needed) soon after placing my order, that took 2 days to be acknowledged, so they’re probably even more behind on responding by now.

My order with Asda was approved this morning. So it was approved on the 7th day.

Im also waiting on Asda. Glad to hear you’ve had a response at last @Worriedmrs. Does it say it will be sent out next day?

That's good to hear! So longer than the delay they've been advising, probably means mine won't even be checked until next Tues at the earliest.
Very glad I've still got the extra dose in my 1st pen for next week, I'd better not mess that up!

Very poor service from a large supplier, you'd think they'd have sufficient resourses to manage a transition in ownership. Perhaps it's just the extra demand with Asda prices dropping, but again, they're a big company & should have anticipated & planned for that too!

I’ve just submitted my pictures to Zava this morning. It’s the first time I’ve ordered from them. Hopefully there’s not too much of a wait (no pun intended!). It looks like I timed my purchase badly too.

have you sent a copy of your current prescription? I just sent a photo of the box/label via their message facility. If i wasn't reading here, i wouldn't even know to have done this, which i presume would have delayed the order even further...

I'll be getting more concerned if my order still hasn't updated by Monday, even if I do receive it ok next week, I can't see me ordering from them again, which is a shame as they're competitive on pricing & had really good reviews, until now!

I agree, I don’t think I’ll order from them again. Like you said, it’s a shame because they were obviously doing something right previously. It’s a shame.

Not sure I like the way the US firm want to change the way Zava work. I have used them up (direct and via Asda) up until my most recent order. I’m quite glad I’ve moved away from them now.

@SilenceInside yes i thought it was an odd company name, looks like they've acquired Zava for their large customer database, good reputation & access to selling weightloss meds in Europe. They'd better get this (i can only imagine) huge backlog sorted sharpish, otherwise that customer database will prove to have little value as nobody will use them again...

my order is now over 4 working days since placed & still not checked, any delay estimate for actually receiving it is now going to be more than they've advised up to now.
From trustpilot further complaints, i don't think there's much point in trying to contact them via phone/messaging, they really need to get this sorted! Repeat customers are going be none existent if this goes on for much longer...

I ordered for collection at my local Asda. I can collect it tomorrow after 3pm.

After ordering on 1st June and hearing nothing, my order is being delivered tomorrow. 🤞

Hi I’m on my third pen with ZAVA

when I switched from Asda to ZAVA due to price difference and being same supplier it did take about a week to get approved . After 2 days I got message to upload pictures and then it took another 3 days to get approved

my last pen arrived last week and despite warning approvals take longer pen got approved within 3 days and arrived on the 4th day , however dosage was the same and repeat customer

all provider advises to order 2 weeks before they are due , especially on higher doses as they have recently tend to run out due to the demand

as a new customer and with the delayes I would expect 7-10 days before it would arrive

@Bipaloss good that you got your order quickly, but that was prior to the issues that started this week.

Not all providers state to order 2 weeks before last dose, my current provider only reminded me at the end last week/3rd dose.

If Zava spent as much time sorting the current backlog as they do currently deleting negative comments from Facebook & replying to complaints on trustpilot, they might actually get orders processed!

The main issue is complete lack of any updates from them when orders are taking much longer than advised. People are literally spending hours trying to contact them. The majority of prescription items ordered are very time sensitive so it's no wonder customers are complaining & are worried.

ZAVA and Asda do recommend 2 weeks and I do get reminders twice a week 2 weeks after ordering one

the issue was the since start of May and it’s with most providers now as the regulators are more stringent for evidence and doctors needs to review carefully .

if so unhappy with the provider then cancel the order and switch provider? Instead spending so called hours a few days after ordering

I find if I message Dr directly on my account asking about order it speeds things up. Just log in to your account and dash board and message them there. Worked for me. Order was processing for t days messaged them on thurs evening and it was out for delivery next day, with Royal mail ATM.

this is nothing to do with more stringent evidence requirements, have you actually read my OP? It's this week that Zava the company has been sold, plus lower prices from Asda. This has caused a major backlog in orders being processed by Zava, typically 6-7 days from the order being placed & this isn't being advised at time of order.

I haven't spent time trying to contact them, apart from sending a couple of messages via my account, but others have, as i referenced to the trustpilot reviews.

if you're happy with them, i'm not sure why you're bothering commenting on a thread regarding ordering issues that lots of us are suffering this week.

6th day & order finally approved, should hopefully be delivered by RM Tuesday (if it’s delayed & goes to Wednesday I'll have more problems as nobody in to sign for it.)

Lesson learnt & I'll definitely be checking here & latest reviews for whoever I order from next time. Apparently a few providers do a price match service, which could be a lot less stressful!

Just to conclude, RM have delivered today, so all good.
