Anyone had Botox or treatment for 'turkey neck'?

Hi all.

I've been on MJ for nearly 4 months and had great results.

I've noticed a fair bit of loose skin on my neck/under my chin. It wasn't particularly tight before, but it's a little bit more noticeable.

I have Botox on my forehead already, and I will ask my provider then I next see her, but wondered if anyone here has had Botox to tightness this area, or any other treatments that you'd recommend?

Congratulations on your MJ journey. I've been on MJ since the beginning of November and have lost just over 3 stone, now 10st 6lbs.
I to have a turkey neck!!! I've booked to have chin and neck botox tomorrow.
I did some research and the results I have seen seem very good.
I will report back tomorrow afternoon.

This is happening to me! Never had botox before but if it works on this I think I will go for it!

slowlyswimming · 16/02/2025 21:17

No but have the same challenge emerging now I've passed the 3 stone loss mark. Beautician suggested polynucleotides to help, not gone for it yet but have had great results with Profhilo to brighten up my face a bit.

I’ve been on mounjaro since end of August. My scraggy neck was the only downside of losing weight, then all of a sudden last week it started looking better!!! I’ve taken collagen powder since I started and massaged lots of creams and serums in every night. Not sure if it is just taking my skin a little while to spring back. Have faith your neck might catch up with the rest of you!

Comingtosunset · 17/02/2025 08:13

Botox on the neck will not work on the way you are hoping to.
Botox relaxes muscles- so it gives your forehead a smooth appearance. Your neck sagging is not caused from muscle contraction.

You should look to have treatments that tighten the skin and promote collagen.
sculptra, microneedling, co2 resurfacing laser. Use retinol in your skin routine at home.

Doggymummar · 17/02/2025 08:14

I use retinol and hyaluronic acid and it looks so much better. My aesthetics guy said only a thread lift would be worth while, but it looked too painful. So I wimped out.

Thanks for the suggestions, all.

@Lilpickerswearbiggerknickers - will be really interested in how you get on - good luck!

After having botox yesterday I can report back with the results so far. Please see photos attached, before and this morning.
I'm very pleased with the outcome so far.
The botox can take upto two weeks for the finished results. I'm really pleased already!

Wow!!! Those results are astonishing. Fabulous!! What did your injector do?

Pastalina · 18/02/2025 08:17

That looks like 2 different people to me😮Where did you have this done if I may ask?

Lilpickerswearbiggerknickers · 18/02/2025 08:54

Hi, I'm live near a Aesthetics Training School. A couple of my friends have been going to them for a couple of years. Just so happened they needed a couple of models for neck and chin yesterday!!! The trainers are all fully qualified nurses and the trainee's are under full supervision. I felt very safe/comfortable.
I had both my neck and jowls done, and I'm very pleased with the results so far.
I have now booked in for Thursday to have my Marionette line done.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 18/02/2025 11:15

Blimey @Lilpickerswearbiggerknickers!! That’s astonishing! You look incredible! Mine isn’t too bad so didn’t think I’d bother but if you can make that sort of change, I might look into it!

Goinghome24 · 18/02/2025 14:48

The skin tone looks much warmer in the 2nd photo. Did you digitally edit? Or just put the light on😂

Anyway looks like a good result for you so you must be really pleased.

I bought some Palmers body butter today so will give that a go on the scraggy neck.. ii remembered it worked well on pregnancy stretch marks and its cheap as chips!

Disagree - shape of the jaw is the same.
Amazing results.

No digitally edit used. First photo taken Sunday evening in my dimly lit living room. Second photo taken again in my living room at 8.00am.

That is amazing, @Lilpickerswearbiggerknickers - what a great result.

You are lying down in the first picture and standing up on the second. Also Boris will not have reached its full effect at 24 hrs.
i don’t understand why you are trying to trick the OP.

Botox can help but will never tighten the neck to this degree (qualified medical aesthetics practitioner here)

GingerGirl4549 · 19/02/2025 06:45

I've not seen anyone say this yet on this post but I've read lots of stories where people are saying their botox isn't lasting as long as they are on mj

hattie43 · 19/02/2025 06:52

I'm sorry I just don't believe that's the same person . Not just the Botox result ? but different hair colours .

Happyinarcon · 19/02/2025 09:28

micro needling did wonders for mine.

Nah... did you also dye your hair?

Hope you don't mind me asking @Lilpickerswearbiggerknickers but how old are you?

healthybychristmas · 21/02/2025 07:48

I'm really struggling to believe those two photos are the same woman.

Allseeingallknowing · 21/06/2025 14:46

Lilpicker….What does your neck look like now?

Lilpickerswearbiggerknickers · 24/06/2025 16:38

After being accused of lying on this post. I had been a bit reluctant to post any updates.
This is a photo I took at 16.20pm this afternoon. My neck has held up really well and I have been very pleased with the results. I will be booking in to have more botox in the month.
