Changing supplier for maintenance MedExpress to Oushk.

Bellyblueboy · 08/02/2025 14:34

I am 6lbs from target weight and have been with MedExpress now for five months.

medexpress seems expensive for maintenance and they have a two year cut off.

has anyone experience of oushk maintenance plan?

I am hoping to maintain on either 2.5 or 5.0mg.

Loads of information about Oushk if you search the board.

What do you want to know @Bellyblueboy ? I'm with Oushk maintenance plan.

coolcahuna · 08/02/2025 18:03

I'm interested in this too. I'm 4lb off goal and feeling a bit ill on monjaro 10mg

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 08/02/2025 18:16

@Bellyblueboy soz, just really fed up with the same questions repeated over and over and over again - ‘where should I buy mounjaro?’, ‘scared to start’, ‘you’re all lazy’ etc etc etc! If you just want to chat, I’m here for it!! 😁😁😁😁

I have bought pens from Oushk as their maintenance offerings looked so good and unique but have since moved to Pharmulous where I will probably stay.

I love Hira’s open commitment and creativity towards maintenance (also love that it’s a female led pharmacy!). Have found their customer service to be good including responses to emails late at night! Great that you can book deliveries when you want and have a choice of services.

There are the three main options for maintenance but it seems there is much more flexibility than even they show and they will support you to do whatever you feel might work for you if feasible. I do have to say that the 15% maintenance discount is a lure!!!

Are you in their fb support group??? Plenty of lives with Hira in there to watch with a lot of info and they also have a FB maintenance group (and WhatsApp group!).

I think i need to switch too... i had my head in the sand and was hoping med express would introduce maintenance plans as the advice around long term use is changing with regards to weight loss but they seem to not be moving with the times.... im still in the obese category so hopefully shouldnt be a problem.

@IReallyNeedThisToWork appreciate the feedback on pharmulous. Will have a deeper dive into their offering.

Sadteacher · 08/02/2025 18:49

@Bellyblueboy snap. I started with medexpress at end of August. I’m 7lbs away from goal and switched to oushk this week. I was on 15 mg but ordered 12.5 and explained 15 was too much suppression for me. My order arrived on the day I selected. I will book a maintenance consultation in April which is the next slot available as hopefully will be at goal then. It was far easier than I thought.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 08/02/2025 18:54

Just to clarify, the majority of my post was about Oushk. If you’d like to know more about Pharmulous’ approach to maintenance, look up Dr Mel on TikTok.

Doggymummar · 08/02/2025 19:04

I've just moved to Oushk it was very easy, I have 5 stone still to lose but they are cheaper than Chequp who I've been with for nearly two years and I hear good things about maintenance

Ah a kindred spirit! I am on week 20 and have just inched my BMI under 25. I am now 6lbs away from goal.

i have stayed on 5mg so far - have a 7.5mg pen in the fridge but now not sure if I even need to increase my dosage.

i have been a bit spooked by medexpress’s two year fit off and liked the price of the maintenance programme with Oushk. But wondered did it look too good to be true😂.

I obviously started in the obese category - but am now worried I have left it too late for maintenance given my BMI is 24.9. Something I never thought I would be complaining about!

I am not going to lie about my weight - but am hoping the evidence of previous prescriptions from MedExpress will prove I am eligible for maintenance!

@Bellyblueboy you should be fine with the ‘big 3’ - Oushk, Pharmulous and Cloud. They all take patients under 25 bmi. I have just watched a very good live with Hira from Oushk and am swinging that way again 🤦🏼‍♀️

Thanks @IReallyNeedThisToWork.

I have been with MedExpress for five months now. Isn’t jump around because I lied and trusted them. Prices were okay. But £150 a month for the rest of my life feels steep. Although worth it to be a healthy weight. The freedom from binge eating is incredible😊

I keep reminding myself we WON’T be looking at that (or MJ jabs!!) for the rest of our lives as this field of medications is changing at lightning speed! I read the other day that one of the pharmaceutical companies is working on an ANNUAL jab!! 😱

Sadteacher · 08/02/2025 20:10

@IReallyNeedThisToWork i haven’t joined the Facebook groups as worried it would be visible to all my Facebook friends, do you use your real account or have you made a new one?

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 08/02/2025 20:19

@Sadteacher I have used my normal one 😬 Has bitten me once when someone I know professionally approached me with a ‘nod nod wink wink’! I left that group very quickly!!! With hindsight, I probably should set up a new profile. I never post tbh. Just read.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 08/02/2025 20:20

Oh and it’s not visible to your friends. Only if they are in the group too!

Buttons0522 · 08/02/2025 20:34

I am in a very similar situation. Been with MedExpress since the start in November and didn’t want the hassle of changing providers so stuck with them. In the last month I’ve become worried about a hard cut off and I have just entered into the realms of normal BMI. I switched to oushk just to place a regular order which was simple enough - full body photo and photo of the label of latest pen. I’ve booked a maintenance video consultation for next month as I do want to move onto a maintenance plan and their offer seems good.

Not sure how I managed this typo! I didn’t lie😂 I liked and trusted them!

This would change my life!

I am so sad this wasn’t available thirty years ago. I have missed out on so much in my life because I felt too self conscious about my weight!

I have a childish urge to go on a beach holiday this year. I don’t like the beach. I don’t like the heat. But I wouldn’t have to hide and could walk around the pool without feeling self conscious.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 08/02/2025 20:54

@Bellyblueboy I hear you! Not going to lie, I shed tears in the early days on MJ over the years I had wasted being called a fat c*nt by groups of random teenagers, beating myself up over my lack of willpower, dealing with my mother’s disgusted face when she looked at me… The realisation that it ISN’T MY FAULT was beyond anything.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 08/02/2025 20:55

Oh and I’ve just been on a (kind of) beach holiday (love a beach me!) and it was AMAZING!! I wore SHORTS!! Every day!!!

i am going to buy shorts this summer.

Bit late to this one, but can say I'm really happy with Oushk for my maintenance. Very reliable. In reality, you choose your dose each month, regardless of which plan you're on so if you opt to stick with one dose but it's not working, you can just order different strength next month. This is really helpful as you really don't know how it's going to work out when you start (I've reduced from 10 to 5mg gradually and now sticking with 5 for a month or two before trying 2.5mg). The need for 3 monthly video calls has also been relaxed now if you don't need one which suited me too.

85reasons · 09/02/2025 13:27

@KrankyKumquat I’ve just started with Oushk maintenance too (although I’m still wanting to lose 12lb tbh) but I like the codes and with free delivery am happy enough with the price to stay put for the time being.

Have you noticed any difference titrating down yet? I’m assuming you have more of an appetite but is “food noise” making a reappearance at all?
