I am 6lbs from target weight and have been with MedExpress now for five months.

medexpress seems expensive for maintenance and they have a two year cut off.

has anyone experience of oushk maintenance plan?

I am hoping to maintain on either 2.5 or 5.0mg.

Hi @85reasons !
It's been a very surprising few months. I was at 10mg when I got to goal weight and imagined I'd stay there for a while (over Christmas and NY) and just eat more. But the weight just continued to drop off and I struggled to eat more. So I reduced by 1mg every week or so. I then ordered a 7.5mg pen and carried on reducing dose till I got to 5mg. In total I lost another stone during this time so now having to work a bit harder at not dropping below 10st/BMI now 20.5.

I've found that I can eat a slightly bigger main meal now so portion size has increased. But I'm still not getting proper hungry and cravings haven't returned. So, to balance things, I'm increasing the calorie count of what I do eat (ditched the low fat, low calorie options in favour of full fat, etc).
It's still a work in progress and I'm wondering if my struggle to stop losing might be related to being such a good responder. In hindsight I probably could have stayed on a lower dose throughout and dropped doses during maintenance much quicker but hey ho. Have to say that I feel better in myself everytime I reduce dose as even minor SEs have all but vanished so I'm pretty happy with things all told.

@KrankyKumquat what is the maintenance dose? I thought it was 15mg. The diabetics I know are all on 15mg so that's why I thought that. I have fought really hard to get to 15mg so I could maintain. Oh lord.

I think the doses are 5mg, 10mg and 15mg

The maintenance dose, with my pharmacy at least, is whatever you want it to be 2.5, 5, etc. You find the dose which works for you in terms of not losing or gaining weight when you're at goal weight.
The trials, for some reason, adopted the phrase maintenance dose for 5, 10 and 15mg and many pharmacies have continued it, but you don't have to only stick on one of them. Logically it doesn't make sense. You can be much more nuanced than this. Many people aim to reduce due to the cost plus SEs and continued unwanted weight loss at the higher doses and aim to get to the lowest possible effective dose.

Thank you. Food for thought.
