I’m about to order my 5mg of Mounjaro. Any recommendations where i can get it cheaper than Medexpress. Thank you

Plenty of people here use website called monj.co.uk for price comparison.

Sunandflower · 16/01/2025 10:26

Thank you. Does anyone know if i can find a cheaper deal than what medexpress is offering for the second. dose, will they match the offer?

If you do an internet search for "MedExpress price match" you will find the following page:

https://support.medexpress.co.uk/hc/en-gb/articles/20395961330717-Price-Match-Policy

There is a list of the providers they will price match to, and a list of their other criteria for it.

I know that IQ doctor price match including the prices with discount codes applied. Email them before placing an order.

Time4changeagain · 16/01/2025 10:54

Just found this on the monj page too.

Thank you. Unfortunately i’m with Medexpress and they only price match with more expensive pharmacies so i need a place i can get second dose approved but with a discount

You don’t have to stay with medexpress. You can change supplier with each pen if you wish.
I started with medexpress, then Zava. I’ve now moved to IQ doctor as they price match to cheapest supplier including those with discount codes applied.

Time4changeagain · 16/01/2025 15:16

Just worth noting that the “1st order” means with that supplier…
Not your actual 1st order of Mounjaro

Thank you but can you just jump on to 5mg?im sure a lot of them won’t allow that

Yes you can start with a new supplier on a 5mg pen. When you fill out the consultation form on the website it will ask if you're already taking a weight loss injection. You say what, and what dose, then they should offer you the same dose, or one higher/lower. You may then need to provide evidence of your first prescription.

Lola3034 · 16/01/2025 15:34

As long as you can provide evidence that you were on Mounjaro already, then you can order 5mg. I started with Zava and when I moved to Medexpress I had to send them a picture of the previous prescription.

Yes as @SilenceInside said you just fill in the questionnaire and send proof of your previous prescription. I send a photo of the sticker on the box showing my name and dose along with all the other information they ask for

Copied my reply to another thread.

I went with Rightangled pharmacy. It's a subscription (which can be cancelled or paused easily). I'm currently paying £107.99 a month for 2.5mg. So far they've been great (on 2nd month so far).

I didn't like the price increases on the other and like to know what I'm paying each month.

I did put a code of the code thread.

Good luck

Time4changeagain · 16/01/2025 16:15

@magnic Their price is quite high for a 5mg pen £134.99. Not sure if you have a code to use for your next pen but if not you would save quite a bit by checking the monj website above

Sorry, just read that you were looking to go elsewhere 🤦🏼‍♀️

Cantbesure · 16/01/2025 21:38

I've done two months on MedExpress. I was hoping someone would use my code on the thread but no-one did.

I'm moving to zava (hopefully) for my next pen. My friend used a random code from the discount thread on zava and I will use her code. And then I will be looking to move to oushk or cloud before my BMI gets to 26 for potential maintenance.

This is interesting. Is there a certain bmi after which we won’t get approved even if we can prove where we started from?

OP posts:
Cantbesure · 16/01/2025 22:09

@Sunandflower that seems to be the case. Oushk says they accept with BMI 25 if already on WLI for example.

DappledOliveGroves · 16/01/2025 22:37

Oushk accepted me with a BMI of 22 onto their maintenance programme, so long as I could show three months’ worth of previous orders from previous pharmacy. I think they decide everyone with a BMI of 19-25 on a case by case basis.

FerretChops · 17/01/2025 00:43

I'd advise not chopping and changing providers. You run the risk of delays and it's just a huge pain in the arse to try and safe what really doesn't amount to loads (although I appreciate this is subjective)

Time4changeagain · 17/01/2025 03:43

I think you run the risk of delays with any provider especially if you leave ordering the next pen until the last minute. I haven’t had any delays by switching providers as yet and saved a decent amount doing so. I got a 15mg pen for under £84 (inc delivery) from medexpress in November with the offers/codes available at the time. If the prices are more or less the same at the time of ordering presumably you would stay with the same provider anyway.

Sunandflower · 17/01/2025 06:18

Thanks everyone i have 2 weeks left from my first batch so leaving enough time to sort it. I am considering sticking with 2.5mg as it’s just working well and while i do have a bit of a danger zone over eating in the evenings, i feel i’m able to maintain healthy eating habits.
I don’t want to order the pen too early as worry about its expiry date. Does anyone know how long i can keep an unopened pen?

OP posts:
Time4changeagain · 17/01/2025 07:11

The price is usually the same for both 2.5 & 5mg dose so I would advise getting the 5mg pen and just doing half a dose (30 clicks) that way you can increase your dose if needed later in the month. The pens have a good few months on them & left unopened in the fridge are good until the expiration date on the pen

12purplepencils · 17/01/2025 08:16

Zava is worth considering, with a code they’re about the same as medexpress and you might have more luck people using your code afterwards as it’s just flooded with med express codes.
I’ve just popped a zava code on the code thread.
