MedExpress and not accepting my photo

I’m nearly 17 stone - it’s not like I’m skinny, why do they keep rejecting my photo!! Anyone else?

If your photo is a clear full length photo including face, in tight fitting clothes that clearly show your physique (avoid black as it can be difficult to see) then you need to ask them....

I have seen a few posts before of people having photos rejected by MedExpress, and similar photos then being accepted, some suspecting they use it as a delaying tactic when they are under pressure.

Yes I did wonder if it was a delaying tactic - I ordered on the 2nd and I still no further forward. It’s hard when you have mentally made the decision, I just want to get on with it now!

I have sent one in shorts and tshirt now - in all its grossness 🤪

My photos were also rejected by med express, the first one I’m not sure why (I think I wasn’t in tight enough fitting clothing), the second one they said I didn’t look obese enough (I’m 16 stone). To be fair from the front I don’t look too bad (I’m very tall), but from the side I look awful and med express didn’t ask for a side view photo, plus I was wearing dark clothing.

I then tried iq doctor and they wanted front and side view photos and I didn’t wear dark clothing, just a vest and knickers, and was approved straight away (those pictures are truly hideous but will be a good reminder when I’ve lost some weight!).

Mine were rejected initially because the file size was too big - is it that?

No, they have emailed me after my original
submission so the pictures go on the reply email.

iv just had the shorts one rejected so now have sent it in my bra and knickers - beyond embarrassing

I'd just move suppliers, I use Cloud personally.

I wouldn't waste my time constantly faffing with photos if they won't accept them. I agree with comments above they're using it as a delay tactics

I'm having the same issue!

Sent photo 1 on Friday. They emailed Sunday to say there were delays reviewing, and rejected my photo (also tall, and wearing black) yesterday so sent again this morning (cropped vest and leggings thus time as opposed to tight tee and skinny jeans last time). If they reject that one I'll ask for a refund and go somewhere else.

I made my first order with Medexpress on Friday, had no problems with my photo and was approved the next day.

That's interesting @SwerveCity - I'm still not approved, and they're not responded to my email. Very frustrating!

I gave up with med ex in the end- I went to IQ, ordered and delivered within 48 hours!

even though I have credit on my account I won’t use them, I don’t trust them.

I was going to point out that there are many other suppliers but see you have already shifted. I wouldn’t touch medex with a barge pole myself but so many seem to think they are the only supplier that exists 🤷‍♀️

Good luck and remember to keep those photos as you will NEVER be that size again and it’s easy to forget!!

They asked me to resubmit on Monday. Today is Wednesday and I’ve had an email saying they’re dealing with delays. It doesn’t bode well tbh. They seem chaotic. It’s also dodgy that they’re taking 2 weeks to refund people.

Im 14st10 so definitely obese but I’m a 5’7” hour glass and wear a size 14 so don’t appear obese, just overweight. But that’s not the point! It’s not about looks, I want to improve my health and 14 stone+ is too heavy for optimal health.

I would struggle to make myself use MedExpress if they were the only supplier going. They make people chase discounts which only reduce the price to what you pay at other companies anyway

Mine was finally processed late last night @OntheTrainX - that was after I'd requested a refund. Luckily I hadn't yet ordered elsewhere (was going to do that today). Apparently it's arriving Saturday. Hope you are also sorted soon and good luck on your journey!

I'll switch to one of the others mentioned on the thread after this I think, given the poor start and the lack of a timely response.

I’m using QuickMeds. No issues with accepting my photo - it had to show my order number so definitely me - and I’ve always had next day delivery. Really efficient.

I use Ashcroft and find them excellent. Order one morning, delivered the next. They ask for a photo each time with you holding the date but decent prices and no messing!

Do cloud, IQ etc offer long term management? I’m with Medex and I haven’t had any problems with them, but I’m not looking forward to my next price increase with them (I’ve been sitting on 5mm but it’s not working as well now).

How did you get on @OntheTrainX ? Mine arrived yesterday and was well packaged etc so I’ll likely stick with them now, save going through more palaver elsewhere.

I’d said in my email that I either wanted what I’d paid £115 for, or my money back.

I’ve sent three photos now. At nearly fifteen stone, I am obese by anyone’s standards but I photograph well. Which I hadn’t considered problematic until now!

I had my first photo rejected.

Submitted another one and heard nothing, not even an acknowledgement email. So I rang them and spoke to someone who said they would resubmit it to the prescribing team to chase it along. This was at 4pm and within an hour it was approved.

I wish I’d seen this thread before I paid. My photo keeps being rejected.
