Anyone care to share their weekly losses?
Think it's good for people to see that there are a variety of losses.

My first weigh in is tomorrow so will share then :)

Started at 74kg (5ft tall)
Currently 60.5kg

1-4 Weekly losses: 4kg; 1kg; 1kg; 0.6kg
2.5mg total loss: 6.6kg

5-8 Weekly losses: 1.2kg; 0.8kg; 0.5kg; 1.1kg (didn’t end up gaining!)
5mg total loss: 3.6kg

9-12 Weekly losses: 1.1kg; 1.1kg; 0.4kg; 0.3kg
7.5mg total loss: 2.4kg

Week 13: 0.7kg (10mg)

I seem to get a whoosh whenever I start a new dose, then my weight loss tends to trail off.

I’m close to a healthy BMI now - can’t believe I went from BMI 33 to 26.2 in 3 months! It’s annoying as I have lost weight in random areas but not in the areas that count! Lol

Hi you've done so well!

Exercise helps with redistributing and improving the appearance of fat. If you build up your core muscles for example you have better posture and a leaner 'look'. You can't control where the fat comes off but you absolutely can choose where you build muscle and that does help.

eeeeeeeee · 01/11/2024 15:39

@InfoSecInTheCity thank you so much! I’d love to become leaner, I probably should go to the gym more often. You’ve given me some motivation so thanks for that!

How much do you ladies exercise to achieve these kinds of losses?

I'm hopefully starting in a few days and shedding 1-2kg per week sounds like a dream. I plan to exercise 3-4 times a week (weights/pilates) and up my daily step count to min 5,000 - currently quite sedentary. I think exercise is more of an issue for me than food as I'm often comfortable skipping dinner without even thinking about it.

SW: 85kg
Goal: 69kg

Way less than I should. I was swimming 3 times a week but then I got a cold a few weeks ago and lapsed. I need to get back to the pool but the idea of fast walking through the chilly changing room from the pool to the shower is really putting me off 😂

LindtCurves · 11/11/2024 20:29

@Kizmette @InfoSecInTheCity wow, really?! Do you have quite active lifestyles day-to-day, e.g. lots of steps?

I'm an office worker with a long commute so some days I get just 2-3,000 steps in and feel like that's my biggest lifestyle factor recently to prevent weight loss. I do like exercise but hard to motivate yourself after a long day.

So what does the drug do, genuinely get you into a headspace where you eat very little? It must surely activate something beyond that to trigger such amazing losses.

InfoSecInTheCity · 11/11/2024 20:42

Weight loss is all about calories. Exercise is brilliant and we should all be doing lots of it. It builds muscle, boosts metabolism, improves posture, releases endorphins, strengthens cardiac systems..... but you lose weight by eating less calories. The amount of exercise you have to do to dramatically increase your calorie allowance is huge.

I stick to around 1400 calories a day and that leads to about 2 lb loss a week based on my height and weight.
