3 months

ichifanny · 21/09/2024 11:27

First 2 stone was 2 months , last stone has taken 2 months it’s definitely slowed but still steady .

WeepingInASunlitRoom · 21/09/2024 11:28

I am almost there, coming up to 13 weeks. Have stayed on 2.5mg though as when I tried a 5mg dose for a week I was violently ill and didn't lose any weight!

NewoIkkin · 21/09/2024 11:33

8 weeks exactly, but I had (still have) a lot to lose

HundredMilesAnHour · 21/09/2024 11:54

10 weeks

TheShellBeach · 21/09/2024 11:59

7 weeks.
I'm almost at 3st lost now, and it's been 11 weeks.

Gazelda · 21/09/2024 12:02

I'm on week 13 and have lost 1st 12. So losing at a rate of 2lb per week.

MissBPotter · 21/09/2024 12:04

Amazing results. I am wondering if you all had quite a bit to lose or if you were more at the 30-32 of the bmi scale? Sorry to hijack the thread, I am thinking of starting mounjaro but bmi is at about 30 so I wondered if it might take longer? I still have about three stone to lose.

LostGhost · 21/09/2024 12:06

Mounjaro, I was down 2 stone in about 6 weeks. I have another 8 stone to go so a high starting weight

I started with BMI 30ish.
About 2 stone to 2stone10 max to lose.

Been on it 3 weeks so far, lost just over 6 lbs so slow and steady. At the current rate it'll take me 14 weeks to reach my goal. Not too upset about it but of course I'd like to lose faster, although not sure it'd be healthy as it would mean drastic food reduction which of course isn't sustainable x

Doggymummar · 21/09/2024 12:40

Two months, maybe 7 weeks

frecklejuice · 21/09/2024 12:45

I'm on Mounjaro and have lost 32lb in 15 weeks. I still have another 3 stone to go.

3wDavid · 21/09/2024 12:45

I’m 3.5 stone down in 3.5 months so I’d say a stone a month.

VioletsHeart · 21/09/2024 13:01

2st 2lb in 14 weeks.
High BMI of 32.5.
Another 1st 7 to 2 st to goal range will put me in middle of healthy BMI range.

EliLilly · 21/09/2024 13:01

I've lost 25 lbs in 14 weeks, so not there yet! If things go well then it will be approx. 16 weeks for the first 2 stone. First stone was 7 weeks. Definitely slower than when I lost weight when I was younger (I'm 51 and not that active - changing that slowly) but I'm good with that - cuts down risk of loose skin and gallbladder issues hopefully...

spuddy4 · 21/09/2024 13:05

4 months. I didn't really see any appetite suppression until I hit 10mg and up until then was only losing 1lb-2lb a week, sometimes I'd lose nothing. I thought about quitting a few times because it's expensive and everyone else seems to be losing much faster but I'm glad I didn't now. Everyone will have a different experience, I've learned not to compare myself with others and just focus on my own weight.

Wow. I'm on my first day and had to force myself to eat an egg.

Maybe it's psychological

It was about three months for me. Began in late May and by the end of August was two stone down. It has been easy - all the angst of dieting removed, all the food noise and hunger, and the weight going down steadily and predictably week by week. One of the best things I've ever done.

No, it definitely isn't psychological.
GLP - 1 agonists slow down gastric emptying and make you feel fuller for longer.

Just under 3 months. I found my fastest loss was early. I lost 4 stone over a year then despite staying on Ozempic I stopped loosing weight. I just stayed the same. After 3 months I stopped taking it and worked hard on not putting any weight back on. After a couple of months I've taken it again and I'm losing again. Taking a break for a couple of months seems to have given me a reset.

horumforaforum · 21/09/2024 17:21

I’m due the final dose from my second pen on Monday. I’ve lost 2 stone exactly. My starting BMI was 30.

mice now got just under a stone to reach a healthy weight. I’d like to lose 2 stone if possible though.
