I've disguised myself by chopping off half my face but hopefully you get the gist

Left pic is April and right pic today. I really did have a total moon face!

Wow, that's amazing progress! You look fabulous.

ApoodlecalledPenny · 31/08/2024 13:04

Well done! That’s such a change!

Snozzlemaid · 31/08/2024 13:05

Brilliant.
How much weight have you lost since April?

MounjaroUser · 31/08/2024 13:05

Amazing! How much weight have you lost?

Callmejudith · 31/08/2024 13:06

Wow!!! That’s absolutely brilliant well done

DisplayPurposesOnly · 31/08/2024 13:07

I see cheek bones too. Well done 👏

MounjaroUser · 31/08/2024 13:08

What's really nice is your expression - you look much happier in the second photo!

BatFacedGirlll · 31/08/2024 13:18

I'm ancient so I'm quite surprised that my jowls didn't get any worse!

I started at 14 stone 13 and I'm now about 10 stone 7 - I'm quite short at 5 ft 3 and a bit so I think I'll aim for about 9 stone 10 or so and that'll be a total loss of just over 5 stone

So it's taken 5 months so far - all on 2.5 but I have to confess to lessening the days slightly between doses - I don't want to risk feeling sick on 5 and this seems to have worked ok so far

Look at you! You look smashing. Well done.

AgnesX · 31/08/2024 14:00

Well done... I need to motivate myself to look that well 😊

NewDogOwner · 31/08/2024 14:07

Inspirational!!

MounjaroUser · 31/08/2024 14:12

How often are you taking the 2.5?

Lizziekisss · 31/08/2024 14:15

Wow. I've just ordered my first dose after deliberating since the beginning of July. There is so much negativity about how it can affect your face, which is why I kept pausing. Seeing your great results is really positive. 4.5 stone in 5 months is quite astonishing. Do you have any tips?

AdviceNeeded2024 · 31/08/2024 14:20

You have wonderful bone structure and gorgeous lips, reminds me a bit of Angelina Jolie. I need to lose about 4 stone. Starting this week, won’t be using jabs but hope for similar results on my face!

MounjaroUser · 31/08/2024 14:24

I'd love to know what you're eating every day, OP. Do you find the suppression is still good on 2.5?

Sandwichgen · 31/08/2024 14:35

Oh WOW! Well done x 1000

PumpkinsAndCoconuts · 31/08/2024 15:04

Well done!!

BatFacedGirlll · 31/08/2024 15:22

@MounjaroUser I take it twice every 7 days ish. I've done that for the past 6 weeks or so. So I'll jab 2.5 on Monday and then again on Thursday - I try and leave 4 days between doses but tbh not sure why as all I'm really doing is splitting a 5mg dose to try and avoid side effects!

BatFacedGirlll · 31/08/2024 15:25

@Lizziekisss good luck to you. My best tip is to work with the injection and use it to be more active and eat well. I found it gave me a bit more energy which was severely lacking beforehand - I'm very firmly late menopausal and could barely get off the sofa. Now I do spin, swimming and walk and am quite active

I also track everything. Not from an overzealous calorie point of view but just to keep an eye on my protein levels. I'm vegan so I struggle to hit 100g a day so I try and make around 60g where possible

No need to drastically cut calories either. I eat around 1400 a day and always have from day one

@MounjaroUser I've never had what I would recognise as suppression tbh. Never felt 'full' or anything like that.

I'm just able to stop munching when I've had enough- it's strange how it gives you the ability to not crave stuff all the time

olympicsrock · 31/08/2024 16:26

That’s great. What you are doing g is essentially dosing at 5mg but splitting across the week.
Brillaitn that your energy is improved . Mine has been rubbish on mounjaro and I would have found exercise tricky

Did you have a jowly phase? Because I'm in mine now, 6 kilos down, and I'm hoping it's just that - a phase!

poppym12 · 31/08/2024 17:21

You look great. I'm taller (and heavier) than you but have around the same amount to lose. Do you mind saying if you've experienced any problems such as loose skin or hair loss?

I'm vegetarian not vegan (but I rarely eat dairy and can't stand eggs) so am also tracking foods to ensure I get adequate protein.

BatFacedGirlll · 31/08/2024 18:59

@poppym12 yes I have loose skin - my neck, very tops of my thighs and tops of my arms. It's not absolutely horrendous or anything but it's definitely there. I've escaped tummy / boob issues as I had a breast reduction and tummy tuck a few years ago (yep, didn't learn the lesson of not putting on 4 stone after those procedures!)

My neck bothers me a little bit tbh because there isn't a cream in the land that'll do anything for it so I may see how it looks next year and consider microneedling or one of the newer profhilo treatments. Or perhaps I'll just accept it
